How is breaking pallets with shred a nerf?

Let’s also not forget how spirit got majorly buffed from her ptb and Freddy counters bt.

his shred cd was increased on launch, it went from 2 seconds too 2.25. A nerf no one asked for and was not even needed.

It isn’t that major and getting shred to break pallets is a nice buff.

The hag's trap setting speed was changed from 5 seconds to 2 seconds. Moving her from a general consensus of D-tier killer to arguably A-B tier. This is a slight change too.
How about allowing flashlight and pallet stuns to drop survivors at any point during the pickup animation? That was a slight change.
The Wraith went through a full addon rework called a "Cube" when it happened. It was expected that he would be improved to be a better killer... He's largely the same as he was before the Cube.
The Nurse's addons are being changed so her kit is being slightly changed to compensate. This can go badly in either direction, but it will probably be a solid nerf.
Time will tell and we'll see who's right by then.

But look at GF, who the community on the forums said they were 80% happy with and he didn't need nerfs, and they still nerfed him. And demo was nerfed and it was never even announced he was getting nerfed. They cater too the majority, and rarely ever think about red ranks.

Yes, ghostface got nerfed. Demo got buffed but you are still ignoring that over a extra bit of cooldown.

Love all the nurse players trying to reassure themselves they are changing only the addons when it was said multiple times it isn't just the addons.
If this game is balanced around low ranks then it is pretty horribly balanced. Killers absolutely dominate in low ranks.

I agree with this statement. When all maps are finished being more balanced to killers, some of the weak ones won't need a buff. That is the biggest problem in terms of balance.
They will need to buff some killers anyway because the gap between SWF and solos is only solved if you buff solos to get close to the level of SWF. Resulting in a general killer buff, but that's another topic.

All legion mains that truly understand Legion got really upset with the changes.

The problem is not only the maps itself but the themes they have. An indoors map will always be a bad map for the huntress and a good for the hag. Even if we say we fix all the map and make solos equal to the swf you still can't buff killer to much because of the theme the maps have because then if you make killer that is bad in indoors maps well then you make them good in every other map.

They will buff some of the roaster. I believe no one is against a leatherface, legion, wraith, clown and maybe doctor buff.
Huntress should be fine if they don't make the reworked maps with a lot of walls. Either way killers should have bad maps.
Buffs like: Now all killers move at 0.2m/s faster than before (just an example, that is very bad) are not good because they aren't killer specific and can brake some things. I get your point.

I can agree with this, I'm trying to break off into playing other killers again and I'm doing better than I thought with most of them. I know the devs have said they balance around lower ranks, but I don't think that's the case.

.25 seconds is literally nothing, it was increased because moving across the map with shred was more effective than just walking.

Survivors want a spirit meta where 90% of games are spirit with 0% of Nurse.

It means a lot in a game that requires finite percents too work properly. Before you could use Shred too break a pallet, then continue a chase before they get too another pallet, with this change you're guranteed too get too another pallet/loop as survivor.

You're absolutely right.
You and I know these were big changes... but the devs themselves talked about these and other changes as "small" changes that would improve the situation they were meant to.
This is also why it's important that the balance team plays the game to the level that even above average players do. Ideally, high level, but that's asking for a large time investment...

But we know they don't play the game at that level because multiple times they say they try to balance the game for the mid rank mostly.
They thing that we this they help the majority of the players but here the thing many of those mid ranks survivors have skill for red ranks and they want an more relaxed game.
