"See you in the fog"
I used to feel this sentence much more scary up to 1.4, where the game was actually scary, a lot darker, the fog was more intense, and there were the bouquets
Now that phrase doesn't give me that adrenaline that it used to give me. Please add the bouquets back

Sadly they wont come back, devs said they want more control over the lightning in their game

I wish I played this game 3 years ago it actually looked like a horror game

More control. From my prospective it shouldn't be a problem. Is it so difficult to change the lightening with a function?

Should only the survivors be affected by the weak lighting? Or is this a suggestion to make it harder for the killers to spot the survivors?

What do you mean?

You want the maps to be darker. Should only the survivors suffer from a worse vision so that it is more "spooky" for them?
Or should it also be darker for the killer, which would make it a lot harder to spot/find survivors?

Basically they got tired of updating the lightning just for 1 offering.

Well, the old bouquets made it harder to see for both
0 -
Which is why they got removed.
If you want more of a horror feeling for the survivor side, that's fine. If you want hiding in plain sight to come back, that's not okay.

It costs too much. You know how dbd works: new updates must be ready as fast as f., don't give a damn about the balancement, and instead put out new cosmetics; and after all this bunch of gross stuff still is the best horror multiplayer game, cuz other games are worse (f13) or aren't enjoyable

Hiding is a strategy, btw killers (as an offering) have moris, survivors don't have something to kinda instantly repair a gen.
Even if the game is survivor sided, from the offerings' prospective it is not fair imo

Nothing against hiding. Hiding takes skill when you have to avoid being in the killer's LOS.
But when it is just so dark that you can simply sit down in the open field and the killer still can't see you, this has nothing to do with skill.
Also the old BNP could insta-repair gens (like an insta-heal with one click).

The Moon Offerings will not come back, it is way too much work to design different Lightnings for each Realm/Map, which is not really justified.
Overall, the game can be darker again, it is basically played at Daylight currently. Killers should also be able to see the Survivors, it is not that bad as some people are claiming it is.

You are right, bust in this case the problem are the invisible claudettes

With the old dark lighting, it wasn't only the Claudettes. I don't know how long you've been playing killer, but every survivor with dark clothing was able to become a Claudette with the New Moon Bouquet on certain parts of the maps.
If you want to hide, you don't need the Bouquets. You can dress super colorful, just avoid the LOS, that's all.

Game looks scarier than ever, you're just too used to it. I think having control over the lighting gave either side too much power. They were right to remove it.
2 -
Bouquets made map development ALOT harder. You needed to make three version of each map, and you’d have to make sure all the shadows, lighting, everything made sense— which is a huge investment in resources.

I want it to be scarier for survivors to be honest! :)
Also, what happened to the red light in the basement? :(
