Are Red ranks getting less sweaty?

Member Posts: 1,310

So... last time i was in red ranks, the only killers i would get were P3 Nurse, P3 billy, P3 Spirit and sometime a myres. But now im getting bubba, clown, pig, and doctor. Even a billy that gave me the hatch after 2 of my teammates DCed.

Am i just lucky and getting less sweat drenched killers? or are people starting to chill a bit?

They probably have experienced easier games due to the new SWF matchmaking, so they're back to having fun with weaker killers again.

I'm getting a little bit more variety myself but i think that's because the season is ending and we all know you can get to red ranks if you just keep playing.

Which is also why potato survivors are more common around this time in red ranks.

Fact: most of my red ranked games are SWF, but 1-2 people are in green or yellow rank. I once saw a rank 20, poor baby. He didn't make it.

Never said it was fair. RIP all newcomers who join SWF.

Sometimes when I see someone in my red rank game who CLEARLY shouldnt be there...I just assume theyre new. I end up finding them easy and downing them easy, while seeing them waste the speedboost they get from the first hit by running into a rock. Eventually, theyre on deathhook and Im just like...hopefully this guys friend comes to heal him up before he bleeds out...

The funny part is the times I look in the endgame screen to see that person was actually red rank and just sucked. I HAVE seen alot of new players though and feel bad everytime I kill them.

Mine have been. It's really not uncommon too see a yellow or green ranked survivor.

    In my experience, no.

Boy, it sure would be nice if we could buff the weaker Killers to be able to work at high ranks so that when people see them they don't think the Killer is simply ######### around.

As a rank 1 tonight I got a game with survivors at rank 5, 14, 15, and 17. They uh, weren't happy postgame. Can't say I blame them. But getting a 4k as Pig with only 1 gen done felt awesome until I saw the ranks.

    Didn’t know I was dumb for playing a killer I enjoy.🤔

I 4k'd with Doctor, Clown, Trapper, Pig, Hag, Leatherface, and Plague tonight at ranks 1 and 2. Don't tell anyone they're viable (doesn't mean killers are balanced, just means they can win). Secret is still safe.

Hmmm thats a nice viable killer you have there... It would be a shame if it were to get legioned.

yes, but ALOT of Killers need ALOT of help. I'm a Legion main, for example, cause I love the Rushdown playstyle. But Legion is TERRIBLE at higher ranks... or really at all. I'll go back to my crater.

No, they're most likely just getting bored and are enjoying the occasional indulgence of a meme or two from time to time.

When I play at Red Ranks I always welcome a Survivor that just wants to meme, I gain more enjoyment from messing around than being serious about a match... Of course, that isn't always the case and I do seek a challenge. But if the team for example is intentionally messing around, definitely going to lose, or etc... than I'll just meme with them.

In the case of say... when the team is losing wicked hard, I just stop playing seriously and engage in less serious chases and think less tactically... because why would I take everything seriously and destroy the team? That isn't really fun.

Now, if the team was wicked coordinated and I was beating them, than i'll take is seriously to the end. Otherwise, no I won't be that way against "bad" or average teams. Even to some above average teams too... I suppose it just depends if the Survivor team and myself are just feeling up to messing around tbh.

Not at all. Both sides are just as sweaty as ever. Pretty sad actually.

I feel that too, yesterday I had not really good survivors so I could FINALLY play some chilled Killers like trapper and Wraith. But I wonder where the sweaty swf are now xD

Every killer becomes viable this late of monthly reset as all the boosted survivors have reached r1 so killers dont have to stress that much of facing half decent survivors.

Played 7 rounds yesterday and only 1 round was where all 4 survivors knew the basics of the game. In other games when survivor was found they were downed in 10 seconds as they had no idea how to play chases.

First half (first 15 days since rank reset) of the season means sweaty, second half not so much.
