RIP Nurse. BHVR, you probably made the biggest mistake in DBD history
The ONLY "issue" with Nurse were her addons. Her basekit was absolutly fine, it was manageable.
3 seconds might not sound long, but in dbd 1 second can be the important variable between hitting or not. For me, 3 seconds sounds like a deal breaker. I'm going to use up all my good addons, moris, BPS, puddings etc and leave Nurse alone.
You know what the worst thing about this is? As survivor you will see even less Nurse players at Red ranks and much more spirit players and spirit is clearly the most hated killer to verse, much more hated than nurse (see: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/91696/who-do-you-hate-the-most-to-verse).
Im speechless. Why touching her basekit when majority was only complaining about her addons. Noone was asking for that besides some baby potato survivors.

They decided to nerf her basekit, no one knows exactly why. I mean it's not overpowered, it got counterplay, there's literally no reason to nerf her basekit. Anyway, i'll try out the new nurse. Maybe she will be fine, who knows?

I think these changes are made in a echo chamber and vacum as a lot of changes are illogical or just bad.

No one knows why she was Nerfed uh how about the fact that she can ignore every defense mechanic that survivors have she can teleport through walls and has the best map pressure in the game. Yeah still not sure why she was nerfed.

The survivors have 6 seconds time to get distance and use Los to hide. Against the SLOWEST kilker in the game. Nurse is a killer where you HAVE to use m2 99% of the time. Even Nurse mains on Twitch who are one of the best 10% players have matches when they get completely dominated by swf squads... Not because the nurse main made mistakes, not at all. But because these survivors are very good and knows the weakness of Nurse.
Idk man, on paper I'm pretty convinced it's a dead case with Nurse now and I doubt testing her will change my mind. I will try it tho, but I'm pretty sure Nurse is gone from rank 1 now and only spirit will dominate on the top.

Yet she's the only Killer that can deal with a 4 swf with BT, DS, Adrenaline and insta heals. We should buff weaker killers instead. The Nurse is just a symptom of a bigger problem: weak killers

The defense mechanic is los. Just because you can't loop her like wraith doesn't mean all defense mechanics are gone. Los + making distance is basically looping aswell. But instead of lopping around one pallet you loop between walls and trees around the whole map

Well I don’t even play on PC so I can’t take you up on that offer and I don’t understand what your talking about I bet that any red rank nurse even without add ons would probably destroy your little SWF group. Your acting like it’s a bad thing that the most unfair killer got slightly nerfed.

I think the add on changes are justified but not the base kit of her. Sorry i like intense games and Nurse offers that. The game is getting more and more About handholding People that are unwilling to improve because they just accept some opinion of someone and give up or dc. With that you do not get good. I dont like how the next Season will look with even one less other Killer in red ranks.

I guess all those skilled nurse players (definitely not all the ones crying in these threads) in red ranks who played addon-less and still absolutely crushed the majority of the survivors they went against will have to think about actually using addons now. Oh no, what a tragedy.
It's impossible to gauge how big of a change this will be until the PTB, but giving nurse counterplay will only help the health of this game. This is a sign that the devs are going in the right direction. If they do a major map rehaul next, the game will be as balanced as it has ever been.
This is a good day for balance. This is not a good day for whiny nurse players who think they should be able to perform against the best survivors when they themselves aren't very good. (my first impression is that nurse will still be top, just not by a country mile anymore).

You don't nerf the only answer to toxic SWF squads until you deal with the squads. You nerf Nurse like this when there are more than 2 other killers in red ranks. Now there is way less a killer has to use to even kill someone in red ranks when survivors turn the sweat glands on.

You're measuring killers against the best possible survivor loadout with items and addons. Survivor items and add-ons aren't even as easy to come across as killer addons, because survivors don't make as much BP per match as a killer.
Let's not pretend that every match a killer gets into has insta-heals.
That's even worse than pretending every survivor game is against an Ebony Mori.
If Survivors need to use all the best perks and add-ons to be competitive with a Nurse, what does that tell you about how powerful she is?
A change to nurse is necessary. She isn't healthy for the game.

Remember when they said the focus of her 'rework' was to fix her addons? Then they said her base kit would get 'slight tweaking, mostly just the numbers?' I said before that people were leery of 'slight tweaking,' because we have Legion as an example. They just proved they don't know what 'slight tweaking' really means.

You are funny, you speak of balance yet one can bully the hell out of Killers until red ranks. Even there you can bully lots of Killers and they do not realize that they have been outplayed and dc and the Exit gates.
Nurse already has counter play.
What you meant to say was this is a good day for bad survivors who cry and do not improve and can not imrpove and thus they ruin the game for everyone be it Killer or Survivor who actually like skill in this game but since you are one of those who say Nurse has no counterplay i know where you skill lvl is at.

Ok but neither is keys, insta heals, or even swf. Swf is healthy for cosmetics and gameplay times, but knowing where killer is 24/7 so your squad can eat gens isn't.

Let me flip it on you.
Why do I have to be hyper focused with me best addons and perks to even stand a CHANCE against a group at red ranks? If I'm not playing Nurse I can almost guarantee gens are getting done in 4 minutes no matter what I do. That's 4 minutes to get looped around long loops that take ages to win because the map design is so poor.
Nurse didn't break the mechanics, she just changed them. You have to think about where you're going to run and how you're going to do it. You don't just ring around the rosie pallet after pallet and L-wall until they get bloodlust and hit you. She had counterplay if you were good and learned how to run away.
Hell, one of her new addons makes it so she can never use her power in a chase at full charge because a survive can always outplay it and get the extra distance off of the new timer. (Full charge blink does immediate half blink addon) does that sound like a good Nurse mechanic? no.

And I agree with you. Keys, Instahells, Moris and Instadowns should all be removed from the game.
SWF? SWF is fine. SWF if removed from the game will probably kill the game -- not from a mechanical point of view, but from a customer point of view. A lot of people are going to stop playing a co-op game when they can't play with their friends.
That doesn't mean SWF shouldn't be addressed. Both Survivors and Killers have been suggesting changes to bridge the power gap between SWF and Solo Queue for ages, so that killers can then be adjusted to compensate. BHVR refuses to act on these suggestions, many of which are very good suggestions.

Killers who get bullied do not belong in red ranks. Do you ever see the top killer streamers getting bullied? I'm the same. Rank 1 killer immediately after rank reset, never feel like I'm being bullied or that I have no chance if I don't use nurse. Sorry, but all these nurse players have gone so long thinking their broken killer was balanced. I must say it is a bit nice to see them knocked down a peg. I don't even play nurse anymore because it was too powerful.
It's funny you would assume I'm a low rank player though, when literally the only reason nurse needed this nerf is because the TOP players take away counterplay against the other TOP players.
I'm sure nurse is super fun to go against and play in green ranks, or wherever you are...

The Nurse is a symptom of weak players trying to go the easy way with a broken killer, and the reason most players DC, so its natural to rework her.

I know, he got trashed hard. But he wasn't in the position to deal against sweaty swf groups in the first place. Nurse is probably the only killer who can deal against very strong swf groups on a survivor sided map, that's why I think it's going to be the biggest mistake because then nothing really is left besides spirit MAYBE.

All they've done is make the Nurse player have to be smarter with there blinks, this is a good move I'm certain good players will still dominate with Nurse it's just the average player that will struggle.
You all need to stop overreacting to every change like it's the end of the world....

Three seconds is a lot of time when you use both blinks and land a hit. That bumps it up to a six second cooldown and a stun. Survivors will get close to Nurse's maximum blink range of distance by getting hit. She is very close to having her power hurt more than help.
I'll wait for the PTB, but, I'm not hopeful.

Your cooldown actually starts dropping while you’re fatigued so you only need to wait 3.5 seconds to use your blinks again.

Ah, that makes it better. However, count the charge time and her slow movement speed. Survivors are still making a ton of distance on a VERY slow Killer.

It's 6 on 2 blinks + fatigue for survivors to use Los. With that time you can get so much distance that the nurse won't catch up as the slowest killer in the game. But u can't blink either, cuz they already will be running behinds multiple walls and tiles in that time and trying to guess will hurt just even more because it gives you another 6 seconds recharge time. Idk how you can't see the issue.
