Why do we have to "select" a challenge?
Pls just handle it like dailys where the progress gets automatically saved on available challenges. I Really can't see any benefit to select challenges everytime, it's just useless and serves nothing but wasting time.

I also said something like this on a post I made. Those who cannot put in as much time with the game would benefit more from them being passive challenges. It's less grindy than one challenge at a time if all progress to a challenge automatically goes towards them when completed, the one thing this game doesn't need is more grind :p

Agreed. I don't want to feel like I have to play to get my money's worth outta this, which is what has happened for me with other battle pass games. If it can just be earned as I play normally, I'm more inclined to spend money on it.

Yeah, a better system would allowed you to accomplish certain master goals passively even if you have not gotten to them on the archive web.
This way the if there is something really challenging you can work on it as it ahead of time or do it without worrying about whether you pick up the challenge or not.
Example: Kill all 4 survivors with your own hands in one match. This may take time with lobby and offering dodges and disconnects. Therefore, if I get lucky and get it done. I would hope the game would remember and allow me to get the node for this accomplishment when it comes up.

Just another player-unfriendly grind system from Behaviour! The suggestion in the OP would be a good change.

it's basically just a system with dailies which we already have. i wish they would come up with some new creative ideas to spice things up in stead of these same old things dressed in a fancy layout. I don't have to look far away to see how identity V already got so much fun modes addes after 1 year. just to give an example

If it's earned as you normally play then it misses the point of the Challenge.
Whilst I agree that you shouldn't have to select a specific challenge as long as you have it unlocked it should give progression towards it.
Most challenge based battle passes require you to complete the challenge.
Also if you don't want to waste your money on it if you're not 100% you could easily just do the challenges as far as you can and only buy the premium pass if you think it's worth it. that way you unlock to up to what tier you have on the Premium pass

You already get passive challenge... steam-achivements or dailies. I would be sad, if the challenges would be all passive like this.
I think it's good that you have to select them and just targeted one.

Any specific reason as to why you prefer them like they are currently? Just curious as it's easier for everyone to just complete them by playing normally

So having to select the challenge in order to get credit for completing it in the game is the part that makes in challenging? No. It's just going to make things tedious.

I guess they want it to be like, idk, accepting quests in RPGs.
Y'know, you've killed 10 big spiders in the sewers of Ancient Town.
Then you go to a shopkeeper and they ask you to kill 5 big spiders in the sewers, so you go down again and kill 5 more.

Dbd is not an rpg tho.

I am aware.

So it's bad right? :o

Not necessarily.
FPS has guns and so do certain good 3rd person games.
In this specific instance though, i agree.
We don't have to accept Dailies after all.

In some rpgs though you can find quest items before hand and then you turn them in just after you have accepted the quest. In dbds case this would be cashing in the quest once we got to it.

I mean...only if you dislike RPGs? RPG elements make their way into all genres

Yeah, i know.
I was just explaining my thoughts on what they thought with doing it this way.

Did you actually read what I wrote or did you just automatically comment as in knee jerk reaction.
But considering you can't take the time to read I'll post it up here for you
"Whilst I agree that you shouldn't have to select a specific challenge as long as you have it unlocked it should give progression towards it."
Again it's right there if you want to read it and it's even in the quote marking. If you're going to try to misinterpret my words could you at least do it with something that's not that's a little more vague and not blatantly obvious to it actual meaning because it just makes you look like a moron.
