Prestige, is it worth it?
After playing a few matches today I finally got to the prestige level but now I'm a bit stuck. I'm not sure whether or not I should prestige, many people have said to not do it as the cosmetics you get from it though cool simply aren't worth it and you don't get any luckier when it comes to the rarity of items and other things you'll find in your bloodweb while others have told me the exact opposite. What do you guys think? And if you have prestiged, was it worth it?

I have P3 all the character except Steve and Nancy.
Take it from me. It ain't worth it. Just extra grind for some bloody clothes.

If you want the Cosmetics, Prestige. If you dont want them, dont prestige. It is as simple as that.
The luck (if there is any) is not worth it at all.

I haven't really noticed a difference in item spawns after prestiging. I usually get a character to level 50, play as them until I use up all their good items and offerings, and then prestige them. But I do that because I'm a completionist. I very rarely even use the cosmetics because I don't actually like blood splattering everywhere that much (I don't play DBD for the gore, I just put up with it). I just like that satisfied feeling I get from having multiple characters P3 lvl 50.
So in conclusion, if you want to prestige for the cosmetic of for completion's sake and don't really care about spending BPs efficiently, go for it. But if the only reason you're considering it is because you think it might be worth it in terms of item spawns, it's not.

@__Panda__ My experience with doing it, I enjoy that I did, I had enough free time and was able to do it easily, I like the clothing options that I can choose it or not, but I've since got cosmetics that I like to wear too. But I like having the options on the ones I like to play. So, for me It was worth it. :)
I've not really noticed any difference with item spawns. I think it really is about the clothes. I have prestiged characters that I like to play and I enjoy playing. However, doing so is a grind. If you are a casual player, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it at all, because you might just be unhappy playing something you don't want to play, (i.e. Not having perks you want etc.). And its really nice to play with the perks you want, prestige takes time and isn't that "fast". I'm going to roughly estimate you need about 5-6million bloodpoints you will need, and that doesn't necessarily mean enough to unlock ALL the perks in the game, if you have them. (The new change to bloodweb though really has helped in getting better perks again tho, for levels 40-50)
What I did when I first started playing, was unlock all the survivor perks. After I got ALL of those, I picked which character I liked and wanted to play, visually. And that is who I prestiged and then got all the perks available on them. During this every shrine, I had enough shards to unlock the killer perks, so I slowly unlocked those perks without putting points into literally any of them, as I did my survivors. So, now when I play killers I leveled the ones I wanted to play. And a good portion of them have all the perks I want to use on them (I got lucky). So they are level 50 and I can choose to prestige or not now or just unlock all the perks on them and be done with it. (Depends on if I like the look of them and how much I think I will use them.)
If you choose to prestige, make sure you get 1million shards or at least CLOSE to that number BEFORE you start the prestige, as well as use good items on them first (because those get deleted). This will get your character about 30-35~ level range give or take. It also depends how good you are in choosing which items, and "managing" the blood web. If you do it right you can force the entity to take off a good chunk of extra "stuff" that you don't want and move on to the next level for less points. Basically getting the entity to eat the bloodweb. And there are videos on this "How to level the bloodweb effectively" that you can look up and will make more sense, probably.
TLDR: If you love the character/killer, I would say go for it, if you have the time to invest in getting the points, but if you don't I would consider not bothering, unless you are okay with playing and not necessarily having the perks and items you want when you are doing it. Also it depends if you even like the look of clothes either, because that is what its mostly about. In my opinion. GL in your decision! You can always make it later on as well. :)

if you want 100% Completion go for it. It just gives you original bloody cosmetics. (I do mine on DLC characters since they never get cosmetics...)

Some advice, before you prestige a Killer/Survivor, you should exhaust all their rare add-ons and bloodpoint offerings (Mainly Bloody Party Streamers, Puddings, and Escape Cakes) and (Using said offerings with those ultra-rare/Rare add-ons) before you prestige them. This way, you'll have a fair amount of BPs depending on how many offerings you used for the next wave of level ups for that character.
Besides that, to answer your question, yes... It's very much worth it to prestige a character, especially getting them to P3 (Prestige 3) due to how the blood web reacts to this. If you prestige a character, their blood web gets a significant boost to the RNG of items and even perks you could get for each level up. It has a big effect on the drop table for the blood web, so that's why most people immediately prestige their character after everything they got is exhausted.
So for example, a P0 Survivor has less of a chance to get 3 Bloody Party Streamers in one blood web than say... a P3 Survivor. The same with perks, you're less likely to get a perk that could be finished with one more level up, than say a P3 Survivor due to how the RNG and drop table is effected by prestiges.
Its quite simple, a P0 Survivor is < a P1 Survivor which is < a P2 Survivor which is < a p3 Survivor. Because the lower the prestige levels, the less likely you'll get rarer add-ons, offerings, perks, etc.

You have to ask yourself these questions?
Do I like the killer or survivor?
Do I want the bloody cosmetics?
Is it worth the grind?
Am I gonna play the killer or survivor?
I personally only prestige the character if I like them. I have seven survivors and seven killers at P3, but I only have six characters with every perk on them. It’s a very grindy process.
Survivors at P3: Meg, Claudette, Nea, Feng, Kate, Dwight, and Nancy
Killers at P3: Spirit, Hag, Plague, Myers, Huntress, Nurse, and Pig
I don’t even play Nurse or Huntress that often and I usually only play Myers and Pig for daily rituals :/

It's not worth it from a practical standpoint. However, the cosmetics are nice to have and if I'm gonna level up a character 500+ times to get all the perks on 3, I might as well waste 150 levels just to have them completely maxed out.

Just make sure not to prestige anyone if you don't have another character leveled that you can play in the meantime.

Not worth, tough I still do it because don't have anything else to do with points.
P3 skins looks like poop (IMO), and that is pretty much only reason to prestige.

My take on it has been, if I have all the perks I want and bought a cosmetic that I like I don’t bother. Like with Kate, I’ll probably only ever wear the biker outfit and she has a good build. Not gonna prestige and lose all that.
But with Nancy I didn’t like her paid cosmetic, and I got to 50 and still didn’t have some off my favorite perks so I decided to get her to p3 for the cosmetics and knew I’d eventually get all my perks. I also ended up with a stockpile of insta heals and medkits. To me, that was worth it.

Literally only good for blood clothes.
The increase is close to non-existant.

If you're a completionist, prestige. If you want the bloody cosmetics, prestige.
The two main reasons why people prestige are these. I am from the former category. Despite rumours, prestige does not affect the bloodweb enough to be noticeable, you would never make up the bloodpoints you use for prestige to make it worth it only based on that.

I'm working on prestiging all my killers, because I'm a completionist. It's not really about being "worth it" to me so much as it would bug me for all eternity if I didn't do it. I get a sense of satisfaction from doing it.
If you're not a completionist, then it comes down to, do you want the bloody cosmetics? Because there's really no difference in the Bloodweb RNG.

if you like the character and want nasty bloody outfits prestige them, or if you want to do something than just play the game
