Well RIP Brand New Part
The skill checks are microscopic and you can gain equal progress with a Dirty Rag in the same amount of time.
Good use of 7000 BP for the effect of a 3000 BP item lol
Note: I don't think the old BNP was balanced, but the new BNP was massively overnerfed.

I used them ironically before but now... theres no point in taking it. The addons to increase the skillcheck zone may be bugged also, as the one time i took a yellow wrench it didnt even help with the skillcheck zone.. i dont understand this overnerf to a purple item/addon. I guess killers cried enough lol

It was way too powerful imo. The whole idea of a semi-instant gen is ludicrously imbalanced. I haven't used it yet, but it still gives you a decent boost. Also, after the x2 BP event I noticed so many of them it was insane, even afterwards. I still have like 9 on one single survivor and am glad that I won't be able to 1) instantly put stress on the killer. And 2) Push the game closer to an easy survivor win
Come at me with the Killer Main accusations.

Just look at how fast gens go WITHOUT ANYTHING.
The whole gen mechanic has to be reworked, including all toolboxes, but thats only my opinion.

RIP won't be remembered lol. Now it's balanced and it was a great decision of the devs. This addon shoudn't be in the game in the first place, so having a nerfed version of it isn't that bad.
Bad is in my opinion, being forced to equip Ruin in every build of every killer you play, and if you don't you get gen rushed in no time.

Gen rushing isn't something you can blame players for. It's the normal intent of the game to do gens asap and get out. The problem is the means at which the killers has to delay them. And as we all know, trying to micromanage 4 people is just a terrible idea.
Yes i agree with that it's a design fault. I wish the devs implement new and fun ways of progress in the match, like tools to collect for repair the generators. Making the game more dynamic like a treasure hunt at first giving more time to the match and fun for both sides. Or other ways similar ideas.

The skillchecks are about the size of Overcharge 3 and the progress you gain is negated by 1 kick with Overcharge or Pop Goes the Weasel.
It's not worth taking an addon just to lose it when you could just as easily take an addon that you don't lose and do the generator at about the same rate. Also RIP incomming Survivor Main accusations cause I have a Tapp icon. I play Survivor quite a bit but I do also play Killer. I'd say about a 60/40 split.

true. its an ultra rare add on, so they could have just changed it to repair half a gen (at least) with one BNP and continuous skillchecks. the new size of the skillchecks is ok, so there is a possibility to fail and waste the BNP.
if u have a bnp in your bloodweb now, there is no reason to spend 7k points for it
seems like they overnerfed it to do something about the generell genrush* problem. bnp didnt looked like a serious problem to me, as a survivor/killer there havent been much bnps used in my games, but that is my personal experience
*genrush = its the survivors one and only job to do gens

Here's a good meme I found on Reddit to illustrate the current state of Brand New Part.

Brand new part is just like bringing in a head start. That's it. You still get the tool box and other add on. The skill check should not be quite so difficult.

BNP and Mori's should have never been in the game to begin with. 1 massively shortens the game for everyone and the other instantly ends the game for a person without giving a possible second or third hook.
Both are flawed design imo.
