The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Congratulations, Spirit!

It looks like Spirit is the new best killer now!

The Nurse nerf was extremely unnecessary. Now she has to go through fatigue AND wait 3 seconds to blink again. And since she is slower than survivors she can't even catch up to them.

This just shows that BHVR only listens to survivor mains

The Nurse nerf is extremely unexpected, not unnecessary. I for one find it a welcome change to her fairly strong base kit.

Plus, the 3 second blink cool down starts at the beginning of her fatigue rather than after it, so Nurse will already have a blink ready by the time she's done with her original cool down, the fatigue of blink pain.

I also wouldn't consider Spirit the strongest killer. If anything, I'd say these changes now tie the two in overall strength.

She can blink almost directly after fatigue, you only have to wait 3 seconds to blink twice. Also, the changes aren't live, if the devs see fit, they will buff her. Don't make it seem as though the Nurse won't be buffed when she probably will with the amount of repetitive backlash given from the community, ONE DAY after the PTB was released. Keep playing her and give your feedback after the PTB ends, not at the start.

This Nurse "nerf" keeps Nurse's gameplay almost the exact same. I've watched True play it(as I play on PS4 and can't test myself). The only real difference is the addons, which honestly seem better other than the extra blinks/blink range changes. Hearing survivors scream as you blink past them is pretty powerful for a killer as mobile as Nurse, who generally has survivors hiding from her instead of running her around. Having an inbuilt Stridor for a minute after hitting them is powerful as well.

Btw there's also an addon that allows her to move at 4.6 ms after hitting a survivor with a blink, in exchange for not being able to blink. This lasts a minute.

I honestly don't feel like this was a nerf at all. She plays the exact same as before addonless pretty much. You may have to wait one extra second than before, but honestly most Nurses I see don't blink the very second they just got out of fatigue anyways.

If you ask me, Nurse will still be by far the best killer. Any pro Nurse will probably still wreck face addonless and get 4ks in a minute or under.

The only maps where she became significantly weaker on are Lery's and Hawkings where she was already bad. Otherwise, the nerf doesn't matter too much. If you're a good nurse it will only make chases last 3 seconds longer. Nurse will never be overthrown as king(or queen).

Only bad thing about the nerf imo is base kit change and we are going to be seeing more spirits in games now :/

@indieeden7 Don’t you mean the day before she hit PTB. There was a full page of people claiming she was trash before the changes loaded into the Test Build.

I went in for a few and went up against one, she didn’t seem that bad, plus she is faster.

I think people like to spam blinks or something.

Oh yeah a 3.5 second cooldown will definitely drop nurse to below spirit

People are overreacting honestly we have seen worse than that and it turned out ok

Also if you are wondering why it’s 3.5 cool down is because it starts at fatigue and fatigue is 2.5 seconds so is walking around for 3.5 seconds trying to figure where the survivor went is that harsh??

also it could be even less if the 2nd blink cool down kept going while charging your teleport from first blink I’m just not sure if that’s the case otherwise it’s not that big of a nerf tbh

The cooldown starts when fatigue starts folks. And with addons, you basically get 1 blink back when fatigue ends. Sure, you can't double blink then immediately double blink again after fatigue and that has made her harder to play consistently, but I'm not sure it has nerfed her to the ground. I think she is still quite strong and the new addons are interesting.

with that stun now you can juke the ######### out of her by choosing lery's map.

They should change anxious gasp to where it destroys pallets when blinking trough rather than making a Survivor scream. The other addons are interersting

The recharge time stops while she is charging her blink. If she charges too early, she remains only with 1 blink.

Fatigue or cool down. Having both seems like too much.

I'm on PS4, so I can't test her out, but she's a pain in the ass to play as is. Her add-ons definitely needed a rework, I never used any of them except to get the 3-blink-grab achievement. I don't get why BHVR always changes a whole bunch of things at once instead of making little changes to see what effect those have, first. Like gutting Legion's power instead of just making a couple changes, and then if he was still broken they could make a couple more changes, etc.

In terms of playing Nurse, the addition of the cool down seems annoying. I'm not saying it weakens her too much, I just care about killers being fun to play, and having this cool down on top of the fatigue seems like it'll be annoying.

Spirit definitely has better add-ons than Nurse now. But is she better than her overall ? Not sure yet.
