The mettle of man buff is a joke...
They just made it so you can get it more than once when people struggle to even get the first 3 stacks good job Devs...

Wanna hear another joke?
Legion

Imo this perk would have been great if it took just 2 protection hits and ignored all killer instadowns (1 use)

Yep mettle of man is still a bad perk just leave it at the campfire until they decide to tweak it .

These days anything about legion is a joke

Not going to lie, when I saw the patch note, my first thought was, "Mettle of Man can activate?"
They seriously need to redefine Protection hits.

Its a real strong meme perk right now 🤡 you have to combine it with no mither and you have the strongest perk combination ever 👏
Instead of reworking or balance the perk, the devs just make an unnecessary change that wont change anything👏
The one time use definitly wasnt the problem...

What do you mean? Now instead of using it 0 times per match, you can use it 0 times per match!

Mettle of Man is just dead man, just press F to pay respect

Mettle of Man I have been able to activate more now
If you wanna activate it, try to
A.Take hits while trying to unhook
B.Take hits near generators for other survivors
C.Take hits while trying to heal survivors from the dying state
D. Try taking a hit for survivors in a chase

My idea of a MoM buff
Mettle of Man - Whenever you take a protection hit you reduce both your movement speed and the killers movement speed by 6%/8%/10% for 15 seconds. In this time wiggles are more vigorous and increase the wiggle progress slightly more. Can only be used 3 times (3 token max). Decreases unhook time by 30% everytime you gain a token.
The sum of speed debuffs accumulated in the trail is given to you once all generators are completed or end game collapse has started. So with MoM with 3 tokens you will have a 30% speed rebuffs and the killer won't be affected by the perk (they won't get a speed debuff at EGC)

This buff would be perfect in a world where MoM could be activated

Never saw it from this perspective, seems like its a really strong perk now 😂
Devs really listened to the community instead of lowering the requirment or the punishment after using it, they just making the effect stronger with the same unreachable condition, pretty good job 😐

Legion can at least kill people. Mettle of Man never even activates.

the perk is fine how it is. it was broken on release.

Doesn't protection hits activate when the killer hits you while caring someone?
1 -
that's the thing. not all protection hits count apparently. and that's why it's much harder than it should be.
Edit: And don't get me wrong it should be hard and take effort to activate, that is the balance part of it.

Frank's mix tape.

Yeah but its not reliable as you can die easier doing it

Yes it was broken in its previous state but it is not fine now. It promotes inefficient game play and screws over the entire team if you are trying to get stacks.
To activate it, you need to give the killer 3 free health states in order to get 1. I can't think of any other survivor perk with such a negative effect. Perks are supposed be useful and help you survive the trial; MoM is not doing that.

Two protection hits OR allowed for safe unhooks to count towards it. I LOVED using Mettle of Man mainly for Basement or camped Hook rescues using Borrowed Time and Mettle of Man to get the aggro of the Killer...now it's a dead perk....going after MoM activations just hamper my team as I'd not do Gens and risk an early death with being face camped and nobody else using Borrowed Time (which seems more & more frequent, even before Bill was added to consoles)

Don't make both safe unhooks AND protection hits count. We tried that and it made the perk trigger far too consistently.
Just pick 1 and make it require 2 of whatever is picked.

look at 90% of the killer perks and then we can talk again about useful/usable perks again. we all want them to be viable but that not how it works, its bhvr.
