New objectives on map

How about new objectives? I mean let's add some new mechanics to game to make it more interesting.

So my proposition is to add a small gates around map with (security boxes). It will spawn in doors or just beetwen close areas. I could be also a windows gates.

How it can looks like?

All gates are open at the beginning of match. Surivors and killers can open/close it whenever they want. They can close some ways to protect themselves from killer or killer can prepare area to chase and block ways of escape. It takes (6sec of course it's just test. Behavour should balance that) after that the gate will close/open allows u to move trough/can't go. Gate cannot be used for anyone for next 15sec (blocked) after that killer or just anyone else can use it (Gate remain closed/opened till next use). Using it it's just like cleansing totem if u stopped u have to start from beginning (this should remove survivor toxic behavour like standing behind gate and close it in one sec). There should be from 1 up to 3 gates on the map. There will be 2 boxes near each gate 1 on one side and second on opposite site.

Let me know what do you think about it. I will try to answer to all questions. :)

    This could definitely add a different challenge to the game. Lots of mind games and such. And would definitely need a downtime before it can be closed again or it will be abused, 15 secs might not be enough? Maybe the more times the gate is used the longer it takes to close it? Like how when facing Freddie it takes more time to wake up each time.

    But yes it's more of a mechanic than an 'objective'. It is a good idea though 😊

    I think we should focus more on making gens more dynamic. Holding "M1" is not dynamic. No it should be more complex, make it more exciting and stuff. Also eliminates the genrush issue.

    Dunno what idea it should be tho

  • Should only be used for alternative escape routes, like one in the catwalk of iron works or upstairs Hawkins.

    Good point.

    In my opinion cooldown could be longer just by using addons or perk like Thanatophobia to. As I said before it's just test and It need balance and some feedback from players.
