I feel like Shards are becoming worthless
This is my personal feel of course, but still.. here it is.
I feel like past months Shards become more and more useless. I am stuck with solid ammout of them allready but there is nothing for me worth spending.
Skins that I want are Auric Cells only, recent content / chapters are also only auric cells because of all the licence. Upcoming new skins are also most of Auric Cells only (#licence). There is just nothing for me to buy with them that would make me happy. All skins for shard that I wanted I kinda have or I don't find them worth it buying because they are all very rare = so many hours to spend to just have one outfit.
This will prob change nothing but I just wanted to let you know and may hope there is someone there who feels the same. It's just feels worthless, because I allready have all chapters, so Shrine is worthless as well for me.
I would be more happy if there would me more outfits or some other kind of stuff that would be with gametime unlockeble as well.

Not worth the time or the money. What you can get with shards were never impressive anyway. Not a big loss IMO.

Ive been spending mine on bloodpoints honestly, its like you said, most of the stuff that i want ill have to buy so the shards are really only good for BP at the moment

I just buy all the perks on the shrines for bonus bloodpoints honestly.

Yea I basically use them when new characters come out and want some quick BP to unlock teachables...

Shards are mostly there to keep new players to keep playing. Not much to do with them when you get your hours in. At this point i just like to save them up for the BP so i could max out any new killers.

Large majority is still available for shards if you count commons/uncommons. Every new character gets several filler cosmetics.
Not 80% though.
Like Dwight 13 shards 6 not. Claudette 12 vs 7. Meg 14 vs 7 and so on.

The Day of the Dead skins are the only upcoming non-licensed cosmetics. I will be genuinely surprised if even two of them will be available for shards.

Shard cost on cosmetics and characters would have to be 75% off to be even considered good

So basically I'm being foolish for expecting perks that i want to show up on the SoS. That's basically what i read here. Sounds about right.

It's not asking for more, it's asking for more of them to be unlockable by gameplay only. A big difference.

Shards = Bloodpoints.

I just used them for BPs from the Shrine as well. But I'm also not cosmetic motivated. I'm fine with what I can but with shards just so I can look different from time to time. I'm more BP motivated.

I mean I do hate that they haven't brought in any unique characters and the last 5 have all been pay to play, but if licensed characters bring new blood and with it shorter wait times, I'll try not to complain as long as the game is still getting updates.

The longer the time between releases of skins purchasable with shards the more shards people amass. The more shards players have the less likely it becomes that the devs want to release a skin for shards because they make no money off it due to players having so many shards. It's a vicious cycle.
The shards would have been a good substitute currency to finish battlepass tiers, instead of Auric Cells, but then the devs would make slightly less money.

My main problem is that every single cosmetic piece that can be bought with shards cost 7200 now and it takes ages to collect that many shards. Not to mention the best outfits are mostly auric cells exclusive now.

Here is a different question but it is related to shards. I am on ps4, if I buy a chapter or character with shards will it be available on my sub accounts? My daughter and nephew are subs and they like to pay every now and then. I have always paid cash just to ensure they can play the new stuff. I would hate to have them have to play on my account because they would basically be rank 20's playing in the greens. (Probably more like purples and reds with the current matchmaking)
