Removing Spirits collision while phasing would buff good spirits.
I see a popular suggestion to nerf spirit is to remove her collision, this would only nerf bad spirits who rely on collision (me) and would buff those who don’t. Removing her collision would let her zoom past you and appear in front of a window/pallet you thought was safe.
Her having collision has saved me a lot since I was able to quickly throw a pallet down that she would’ve otherwise just gotten to me with ease.

People want the devs to remove her collision with survivors only. A lot of Spirit players can feel out where survivors are, thus, adding an extra layer of difficulty for survivors.

It would also prevent easy gen grabs with Prayer Beads by using collision to work out which side they're on.

It's a good nerf in my opinion, but I wouldnt' say it buffs good spirits. Good spirits would just whack you on the spot.

´How do people not hear her footsteps?

But but but if you remove collisions that means I can't hit my obviously well predicted and skilled galaxy brain hits on survivors anymore Pepehands
Great nerf

The thing is, if you nerf her collision, this makes it a viable option to backtrack your steps with scratch mark manipulation. Currently it's not. Removing her collision would allow survivors to react accordingly and would allow for more potential mind games rather than "chase the survivor until you can't move, then swing". A Spirit COULD cut you off, but you could be moving in the other direction, which the Spirit would not know if you were. This would also reduce the pin point accuracy a Spirit has at reappearing and then swinging, allowing a bit more distance you might need, etc. It wouldn't BUFF good Spirit's, imo, it would widen the gap between a good and bad one though.

the only fair nerf to spirit would be adding 5 extra seconds for her power recovery .
it was like that anyways, I don't know why they kept buffing her upon and after her release

How about leaving her in peace? Just saying

This will cause issues with players getting stuck in each other on reappearing.

The loud chase music is a good start.

I bet Spirit mains are the kind of people to spray deodorant or air freshener near you while you're eating/drinking something. They definitely sounds alike TTTHHZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I PERSONALLY DON'T MIND SPIRITS MYSELF. OOPS IM SHOUTING. For however strong a killer is, it just highlights the importance of basic stealthing.

THANK YOU!
I main spirit, and I LOVE when people advocate for that """nerf""", because it's actually a buff for me. I'd have so many plays without collision.

Spirit doesn't need nerfs, she's one of the most balanced killers in the game. We need other killers brought to her level.
1 -
I agree with you, however we're just saying that these "nerfs" most people advocate for are actually buffs.
2 -
I disagree with that very much. It's just adding a little extra skill required to a killer who's already in the top 3 skill requiring killers. It definitely wouldn't be a buff in any shape or form. There are so many more important things to be done.

Can safely say that with various sets of great headphones, I am yet to hear her footsteps while phasing even while specifically listening out for them.
And I'm not of a minority.

Removing collision would remove more counterplay than it adds. Let's think of a scenario. You're against a Spirit without collision. You run to a safe window to avoid her power, however she phases through you and cuts you off, and you get hit.
If she had collision, she would have ran into you, and you would've had at least a chance of not being hit.

There is a lot of good ways to add more counters against Spirit without touching her values power:
Spirit can now move grass/corn during phasing.
Footsteps of Spirit while phasing are louder.

"You're against a Spirit without collision. You run to a safe window to avoid her power, however she phases through you and cuts you off, and you get hit."
You would have got a hit in that scenario regardless of if she had collision or not. While not having collision you are now adding even more counterplay to her with scenarios like not being able to block them from reaching a pallet or window where you cut them off. There's also the scenarios of preventing them from doubling back through you like on Nurse.
This adds no buff and is adding more counter play to her.

The cooldown was reduced because shes a 110% that has no other way to apply pressure but her power...20 seconds was too long.... that's 1/4 of a gen... 3 people working on separate gens would be 1/4 of the way complete before shes able to phase again...

not only would it buff good spirits, but it'll also horribly damage her play-style for those who are still trying to get used to her, or cannot use audio to their advantage. it greatly harms her tracking abilities, as they may also need to feel for a survivor if they're counting her via. sound by a perk like iron will.

I never mentioned her being able to phase through walls.
2 -
You will use less of your power bar going in front of them though

Exactly... removing collision would only effect prayer beeds gen grabs..... this would ultimately buff the shiet out of her to a disgusting level.... body blocking/ attempting to take a hit for someone wouldnt matter anymore, where in the current state it does. Survivors standing at pallets (which is not a good idea anyways) looking for the bump to land a pallet stun on her wont be able to do that anymore.....
Here is what I would propose because eventually this will happen... as of now there is nothing planned for her.... survivors want more feedback about on her, now they cant have the feedback when she uses her power because thatll initiate the most boring gameplay ever.. everyone will just start walking and it's a 50/50 toss up where as it's not now a survivor has to still win a mind game/manipulate the spirit... I suggest after the spirit comes out of phase the sparkle covers her body until the cooldown is done then the sparkle is removed. This prevents stand still mind games when the survivors dont have to worry about them and it gives the survivors a heads up that her power is ready to be used....along with not crippling her.

Just like old "Race car Wraith" use to do before the change.
