I heard this from people who played the PTB.. is this true Devs?
So Tier 1 Myers can now be countered by Spine Chill and Premonition. WHY!?
Please tell me this is a joke or a bug in the PTB.
Myers should be undetectable fully like he used to be in Tier 1.
No one should know that I'm stalking them that is Absurd. That takes away from Myers' Power. He is literally going to be Ghostface if this is true.

I just went through the patch notes, It doesn't look like that is a thing. The only thing about Myers is that he gets the undetectable status effect in tier 1.
5 -
Hopefully it's a bug.
2 -
Not every survivor is going to run Spine Chill or Premonition and if they do they should be rewarded for it, far too many perks get negated by killers perks/powers trumping survivors perks. Having a 1 in 17 chance of going against Myers I think it's fair if every once and a while you run into survivors who can counter his T 1.
10 -
I mean, Undetectable does not stop Spine Chill and Premonition. So changing his current Status to Undetectable will indeed make him affected by Spine Chill and Premonition.
Would also say that this should be reverted. While I feel that those Perks should not be affected by Undetectable, Tier 1 Myers should ignore them, since it is crucial for him to get out of Tier 1 ASAP.

If this is true I’m gonna be a very angry spirit main!

Honestly though how many people really run those perks? Everyone I've seen is running a "Get everything done quickly" build.
2 -
Both are used from time to time. Not a big fan of those by myself, but since Ghostface Release at least Spine Chill got more love.
1 -
The those perks aren't used much by good high rankers as you get a lot more use out of others. Your eyes and ears with that loud breathing have always been the best tool versus Myers in tier 1.
If it has been changed I can see why it was as it brings him in line with every other stealth killers and makes future changes to them a lot easier.
The tier 1 Myers build only works really well on certain maps anyway and for normal play it's only useful for the first stalk to tier 2 which should never take long even if they have spine chill.
3 -
What you heard is completely true, here's the video proof I made myself to answer someones question about it on the "Ask the Comunity" sub-forums.
1 -
It's most likely a bug. They recently nerfed Object of Obsession to make it not a hard counter to stealth.
So this is likely just a bug. Like gens not being audible through walls.
4 -
Remember that he also has no terror radius now in Tier 1, freeing up a perk slot for some builds.
Premonition and Spine Chill are awareness perks and not powerful at all, the only power is in what you do with that information, and if you aren't paying attention, then the perks are pointless regardless.
Most people don't even include that perk in their builds in higher ranks.
2 -
Not quite a bug. Myers was changed to have Undetectable in EW1 along with several other killers. That means his aura cannot be read, he has no terror radius, and he has no stain. However, that also means that he is not immune to detection perks (aura reading aside).
This is to:
- Make him consistent with other stealth killers.
- Make those perks do what they're intended to do.
Short version, not a bug, just a result of a different change.

I mean, like Peanits said its not. And it makes sense why its not, why would you want a Killer to have no counter to their passive ability? Plus Spine Chill and Premonition is pretty niche outside of people who don't want to get jump scared... that's the only Survivors I see using it.
Spine Chill and Premonition don't really stop a Killer from sneaking up on a Survivor anyways, it just makes it a bit harder. It's better this way, i'd trade Spine Chill and Premonition over OoO any day, one can be worked around while the other was impossible to play against as Myers and even Ghost Face when Night Shroud was active...
Literally... having the Survivor see you behind a 6 inch wall on a loop isn't fun, and makes it almost impossible to even mind-game them. You either brute force it through all the loops which is hard enough as a M1 Killer, or you give up and let them do gens solo which will cost you a lot in the long run...
4 -
Oh so you're going to increase his movement speed and lunge at tier 1 to be more consistent with other killers then. That's great news!
13 -
Thanks for the clarification.
It makes sense.

I would trade Undetectable for old EW1.
7 -
He also no longer has a terror radius. Meaning that T1 Myers got even stronger considering that no one uses Spine Chill and Prem.
7 -
No duh. That's like saying you'd trade the new Syringe for the old one. :P
0 -
EW1 wasn't strong tho, that's the issue. There were zero complaints.
6 -
A lot of people use spine chill. It's not meta, but I'd be shocked if it wasn't one of the top 10-12 most used survivor perks in the game.
3 -
It was changes for consistency reasons, which makes sense (to me, at least).
0 -
You now have an extra perk slot for scratch mirror myers since you don't need monitor
2 -
Spine Chill is used as a Spirit counter in upper ranks. It is mostly used at lower ranks where you would typically run into Myers.
Myer's gains not having a terror radius but had a very small one to begin with. Perks like OoO didn't work on him before but now Spine Chill and Premonition do work.
Clearly an upgrade for Pig and GF. Hard to call it a sidegrade for EW1 Shape.
2 -
So when does his movement speed and lunge in evil 1 increase to stay more consistent with other stealth killers?
6 -
So when does his movement speed and lunge in evil 1 increase to stay more consistent with other stealth killers?
3 -
In reality it's more like a 1 in 100 chance to go against myers nowadays, red ranks is flooded with spirits and the last nurse players who want to enjoy her till she gets changed.
1 -
Yay for nerfs to killers who don't break b tier
3 -
You'd have to tier up to get that benefit. Other stealth killers are slower than survivors and/or can't attack while in stealth (except GF), so if you were to make it more consistent he shouldn't be able to attack or catch up to survivors while in tier 1. :)
1 -
Basically this trades OoO for spine chill in terms of what countess stealth killers?
1 -
I disagree. Pig moves slightly slower but can dash attack or just get up from crouch and get easy hits/grabs. Wraith can move faster in stealth. With this change, they absolute should increase Michael's tier 1 speed/lunge or better yet, leave him immune to premonition/spine chill. He was in a fine place as he was.
I mean this as much as a survivor as I do a killer. Jump scares are great. Nice little adrenaline rush when a Michael spooks me.
2 -
I do feel every killer should have at least one perk that helps fight them. Giving him zero terror radius is still going to scare the ######### out of alot of people.
As a side note. Michael is the one killer that makes me jump. When you rotate your camera and he's just staring at you. Gets me every time.
0 -
Yeah thats kinda dumb.
Undetectable should block SpineChill/Premonition.
2 -
Spine chill is fairly meta perk nowadays.
2 -
Why is everyone so afraid of Spine Chill? I barely see it
5 -
This moment when you can detect a Killer who is undetectable.
3 -
T1 Myers needs to stalk.
SC tells survivors they are being watched.
T1 Myers sheds a tear.
Spine chill is very good against Prayer Beads Spirits. So its making its way back into common use.
5 -
Nooo :( how are you supposed to stalk someone if they know you're coming. This is what gave myers some power
1 -
So you are saying there shouldn't be any killer that should counter these perks even though his power is literally to stalk out in the open? How would Myers get a successful gen Grab or stalk without having to get looped by a pallet 60,000 times while he's slow as a sloth at EW1.
Ghostface has Speed.
Pig has Speed.
Myers? Stalk to gain speed. So you are telling me you nerfed Myers so his entire power would get countered by 2 perks?
Heck the previous version of Myers had a built in undetectable (That countered Spine Chill and Premonition). Now you are saying the new effect nerfed him now.
First you guys angered Nurse mains now you are going to kill off Myers mains..?
I'd just say scrap this nerf for Myers and keep the original version of him.
I feel as if it was unneeded. Heck i believe most of the community thinks it's unneeded.
based on my C.R.F. results, it clearly states:
People loved playing Myers. (Was in the Top 4 of the Spreadsheet)
People loved playing against Myers. (Is in the Top 3 of the results)
Heck most people just hated the Map he came with.
He was literally balanced and needed no change.
So again let me reestablish my point: You nerfed a killer who never needed a nerf (Stated by the community results) and went against the community again..?
Those are my points

Powers SHOULD trump perks. Perks are situational. Powers are set.
Also, not everyone should be immune to spine chill, or even meyers completely. Were talking about his T1. His always stealthy spot that has NEVER been aura readable under ANY circumstance.
3 -
I'm not sure how "consistence" with other stealth killers is a good thing here. Different killers having special attributes is what sets them apart. Reducing all the variations to a single status effect seems like a step backwards. We gain simplicity and lose flavor.
7 -
I as a Myers Main (I played him since day 1 that i got the game) is disgusted with this change overall.
I got him to Prestige 3 (a month ago)... and now the devs decide that it's just fine to nerf an already balanced killer. Just disgusting... IMO...
4 -
Unfortunately, this kills Michael's charm :(
4 -
Myers should not have undetectable, unless it also applies to EW2.
1 -
Unlike ghostface or pig myers in EW1 cant just get up and chase them, he needs to tier up for that.....
Which doesnt happen if he gets found early.
3 -
:0

I run it not for the jump scare protection but when you combine it with urban evasion you get a nice headstart to crouch away. Honestly 9/10 times it works and im not found just to go back on my gen when they peace out lol
1 -
Depends on the rank you're in I suppose, that could work in Red Ranks but Killers at the rank (Not all but most) are so spatially aware that they'll still probably find you because they're aware of how fast crouching with Urban Evasion is...
Either way, it's still better than OoO where it was impossible to be found if you literally watch them 95% of the trial... and it can give you the ability to not be seen ever if you know how to abuse the aura readings specific rules...

Incredibly disappointing news.
Why make all the "stealth" killers consistent?
There would be no point in playing any of them as they're all the bloody same.
The whole point is that the killers are different, isn't it?
Please don't ruin a good thing for the sake of it, you're at risk of turning into dice with Battlefield 3...
5 -
Being immune to spine chill makes so much sense.
I'm a P3 Myers and I never stay in stage one anyway, so why would it be a problem?!
Never heard anyone complain about that and my friend uses spine chill in every build he has.
5 -
I do.
