Let's Talk About Pallet Stuns
They never seem to cause killers to drop survivors for me. What gives, eh?
I get the stun points.
The killer grunts.
Sometimes they swing to negate the drop animation.
Sometimes they don't do anything.
Either way, I can't get no pallet stuns + survivor drops. This is outrageous.

time it correctly

The animation has to be completely done, and the killer must be able to move and walk again, otherwise it'd be unfair.

just time it pallet saves are a million times easier then flashlight saves

Devs should make it so whenever the pickup animation occurs, the pallet will stun and drop the survivor and it makes sense. Doesent make sense to wait till the killer can move then drop the pallet because what’s the difference? They still have the survivor in their grasp so hopefully the devs realize this.

Some people are saying it would be unfair for the killer to not finish his pick up animation. I dont really disagree or agree with this as it's pretty much delaying the inevitable? Because of the iframes some people often mistime their pallet stuns, and new people struggle with this the most.

Last one I attempted, I waited longer than usual, and they still blocked the drop with m1.

This change was added almost a year ago and it was absolutely horrid, pallet and flashlight saves could happen with no timing, it was absolutely awful and took no skill from the survivors part, they're fine as they are now

@Tzeentchling9 okay I agree that’s too much but allow the pallet to stun when the killer puts the survivor on their shoulders

Yeah, saves were way too easy to make then, and I understand making flashlight saves as difficult as they are to make now, but pallet saves should be fixed tbh. Not so that they were as easy to hit before, but it's ridiculous how precise it needs to be now and how it can be completely avoided w/ m1.

No. The ping is de-synced. Most of the time you get it right, but when I play Killer, sometimes they slam pallets on me and I dont drop my victim. Of course, it's not egregious, but within a buggy-locks zone.

Here comes a biased killer opinion.
The whole crawling to a pallet to make being picked up a risk for the killer is weak and I'm glad they are as is. To many times I've downed someone in a loop just before a pallet and their buddy is lurking in the shadows just waiting to pounce.
Ya it may be a nice play but it should come with a degree of skill and chance.

lets fix animations so you dont swing through 95% of the palettes tbh.

They already did this once. It was nightmarishly broken, and was removed a few weeks later.
0 -
They did that once before, it deserved to be removed. You must have never played killer.
2 -
If a killer hit you through pallet, that basically means you messed up. Unless I read this wrong.
1 -
They pushed that "degree of skill and chance" to such an extreme though. The fact that survivors have to wait out the entire pick-up animation AND hope the killer does abuse m1 to cancel the drop animation from happening isn't right. It's essentially to the point where these sorts of plays are nonexistent, save from the points you receive from getting the alleged stun.
Furthermore, "chance" should not be a factor in these sorts of encounters. A->B. If I preform Action A correctly (Dropping a pallet at the correct moment), then Reaction B (The stunned Killer dropping the survivor from their shoulder) should occur. There should be no sense of chance here.

The Killer gets i-frames. You have to time it just right.

You'll have to wait until the pickup animation has ended before the stun's registered.

oh you mean like the wildly inconsistent I-frames when a survivor is being unhooked?

*reads the few replies, then dies laughing* Ohhhh that's adorable! Never again! Yall HAVE to understand how that's terrible right? You have to be joking right? Please please tell me you are! You can't HONESTLY believe it's fair to drop a pallet on someone that CAN'T MOVE cause of an animation! If you do please, I urge you to seek professional help!

Skill yes. Chance, no.

Remember when they changed the need to wait for the animation?
....shudders in corner.....

It has to be this extreme. The killer loses so much time if they drop a survivor, time they don't have, it's only fair and balanced to have the pallet stuns to save a survivor be this hard. Killers can't control whether a survivor is downed right at a pallet or not.
Killers have to hook a survivor three times to kill them, they already have enough to do in the time where survivors are repairing gens. Prelonging the objective time of killers is always huge for survivors, so it's fair that pallet rescues are so hard to pull of.

For example, a Legion (who mind you had only lost 1 gen at this point) lost the game because why? They misjudged the distance to basement and I hopped off their shoulder.
This resulted in another two gens popping, and the killer wasn't bad either. They even switched targets off of me rather than even take any time to run shack. Killers do NOT have the time to drop survivors at all. It will genuinely force them into a loss for 1 simple mistake, but if a killer Willy nilly picks people up, punish them for it.

Yes, I fully agree.

Sorry, to clarify on the "chance" aspect, I was getting at you should only be able to pull this off if by chance the killer walks through a pallet stun zone while on their way to the hook. No, I don't think a successful drop should have a certain percent of possibly dropping the survivor.
I also think there is enough of the "nana boo boo you can't get me" played in this game. Where survivors get in certain situations where a killer is forced to act and eat a loss of some sort, or move on to something else.
@UlvenDagoth put it great "Please please tell me you are! You can't HONESTLY believe it's fair to drop a pallet on someone that CAN'T MOVE cause of an animation!"

For people complaining about survivors hovering around to drop a pallet on them, just stand still a sec to fake a pickup. You cann get free hits off it.

not really; the majority of the time it is the fact the game is really animation heavy. yes you can say "you messed up" because of the way this game has been for a hot minute, but that isn't how the game should be in general. They really need to work on the hitboxes now that dedicated servers are "basically good to go"
