Doctor Disconnect

Who remembers these old videos of Vincent?

I think the build he was using was really not making survivors disconnect and rage

So, I was thinking, to make survivors disconnect and rage:

-Snipe Doc to 3 gen and patrol from the distance.

-Unnerving presence. This perk really makes survivors rage, because perhaps they're not paying attention and they'll fail decisive strike.

-Enduring + Spirit fury

+ A perk that in your opinion makes survivors really rage.

Which would you choose?

The most vicious doctor build I ever used was unfortunately patched out. It was Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Overcharge, Tinkerer.

This was the Old version of Tinkerer which is what tied it all together. You see Old Tinkerer adjusted values on add-ons by making them 10% more efficient. This meant that Billies chainsaw charge up speeds, Nurse charge up, Trap setting, Huntress wind up, etc, were all 10% faster when using the proper speed add-ons, than using the speed add-on's alone. For Doctor however, This meant a plethora of different effects. In the build above I used Calm and Order. Now for calm it didn't do much, it added .1% more TR per meter gained or lost with the calm add-on's, but for Order it increased the default 10/15/25% madness gain rate from being in his static field to 20/25/35% and if you stacked order add-on's the maximum you could achieve was 60%, but trust me, the 35% was more than enough. Using Calm Carters notes, and Order Carters Notes, you could achieve a 48m TR that drove everyone in it up in madness tiers 35% faster than the base speed. With this build, Doctor had complete control over the majority of the map, and effectively suppressed survivors ability to do gens.

That's just one example of how powerful that extra 10% was in the Doctors hands, (I'll let you imagine what it did for his other add-ons) and I was honestly surprised none of the streamers ever picked up on that, It honestly made him "break the game" and sadly once they changed Tinkerer, I felt he lost that edge. My old build regularly made survivors DC, and its been more difficult coming up with a new one that comes even close to the same impact and oppressive feeling this old build had.

Both are true. Doctor is the killer I've played most and I can confirm that is a life filled both with endless looping and salty DCs.

Yeah, playing doctor at purple and red ranks is becoming more and more exhausting imo... I've always tried to not use NOED because it's a perk for "bad" killers (as tru3ta1ent says), but now at high ranks, playing without it or without bloodwarden is practically suicidal. hope the doctor's update comes in soon and strong. Can't wait to play a healthy doctor!
