HEX perk ideas.

I feel like having a bit of fun. We obviously need more HEX perks. What are some of your craziest HEX perk ideas?

I have a few.

HEX: Technical Difficulties

All Generators and totems emit a static field in a radius of 8/12/24 metres, causing survivors to gain Madness. Survivors who are running or sprinting gain Madness slightly/moderately/moderately faster.

HEX: Mirage

A total of 8/10/12 additional dull totems spawn across the map. All dull totems are lit with empty HEX curses. The empty curses stand as long as HEX: Mirage stands. For every empty HEX totem cleansed, gain 7% Haste for 7/14/21 seconds.

HEX: Paying the Price

Survivors are put under immense pressure. Failing a skill check causes a healthy survivor to enter the injured state, and an injured survivor to enter the dying state. This effect applies to survivors healing others as well. Survivors suffer from Hindered as long as HEX: Paying the Price stands. If this HEX is broken, the curse is reversed causing all survivors to heal a health state.

Interesting ideas. I feel like Mirage would be better for survivors because of the haste, I wouldn't use it. Also why when the perk tiers up, the survivors gain haste for more time?
Paying the price seems good, some changes I would do is survivors don't revert to healthy state, and they can't enter dying state failing a skill check.
Technical Difficulties is really intersting, it could bring the madness mechanic to all killers.

Neat ideas! I especially like Mirage and I could see Pay the Price being pretty good on Freddy. As for technical difficulties, it's a good idea but I personally think the madness affect is better being something unique to the doctor.

How come when I have ideas everyone says they're trash. Hex: Make Them Pay - when you down a survivor reveal the aura of the closest survivor for 30/45/60 seconds and gain +5%haste for the duration.

The stats are a bit too high on the reveal timer. 30 seconds on tier 3 would be way better. If you need 60 seconds to find someone while they have their aura shown, then there's something wrong with one's eyesight.
Maybe even put the timer to 15 or 20 seconds on tier 3 but the haste at 7 or even 10%

@KillingInstinct the perk is about risking letting the downed survivor get saved by someone whose aura you don't have. It's about trying to go for the next person to slug then the next. Hex deserve better rewards.

For Hex: Mirage, holy moly, that's a lot of totems. My one critique about this one is that random solo players might struggle with it if the other survivors are oblivious to the perk's effects, while premade groups would steamroll through it no problem.

For Hex: Paying the Price, I don't think this one would be a good idea, all things considered. It would mostly stand to punish new players while experienced players wouldn't even notice the effect. Skill checks are very easy to hit once you get used to it (as soon as you figure out the chime warning you of a skill check, even). With that in mind, it's basically a perk to punish new players, which isn't something I feel the game needs. (Also a side note, good players could break this hex strategically to heal someone mid-chase, greatly extending the chase time.)

While it would make for an interesting build along side Huntress Lullaby, I'm just not crazy about a perk that overwhelmingly targets new players.

One of two reasons. One, people are being toxic and shooting down differing opinions over having healthy discussion. Or two, you're being overly sensitive about criticism of your ideas.

As far as your suggestion for a hex totem, I think it is cool. However, there are some killers that already have very powerful slug games and I worry this would just make it way too over the top. This, knock out, thrill of the hunt, and nurse's calling sounds like an incredibly powerful combination in the hands of the right killer to the point that slug games could end way too quickly(I'm looking at you, nurse). Even as a hex totem, I think it would have to be toned down quite heavily to be something feasible for the current game state. Also, slugging is a game play style that I think the devs are trying to stay away from, and I personally feel like it is a gameplay style that takes away from the enjoyment of playing survivor and I would not want to promote it.

However, these are my proposed changes. Note that even my idea probably needs a lot of fine tuning and may still not work in the game as it currently stands.
Hex: Blood Frenzy - After downing a survivor, you enter a blood frenzy. The aura of a random non-dying survivor is revealed to you for 10/15/20 seconds, and your movement speed is increased by 7%. The chosen survivor receives a notification that they are the target of blood frenzy when this happens. Picking up or striking a survivor ends the effects. In addition, you can see the aura of downed survivors anywhere on the map for as long as the totem persists.

I really like those ideas but I don't think we will see other he perks before the totem spawning think got fixes
