Do you still consider hag to be bad killer?

I play both sides, mainly hag on killer, even though i hate going against hag when playing survivor (spirit too, and way more than nurse)

I'm pretty knew to game. I'm rank 11 on survivors and 12 on killer (mainly cause i've been experimenting all killers) But hag is the one that seems stupid good, i've never had under 3k game with her, she can be everywhere! How do you counter that? I heard that you don't see hag much in red ranks. i wonder why and i'd like to know.

I usually place my traps in very weird places, since i already have pretty good understanding where survivors move. There's nothing for them to do when they trigger phantasm in the middle of nowhere.

TL;DR: why isn't hag considered top tier with billy/nurse and spirit? Just curious, cause i've heard a lot of "hag is bad" comments.

I've always felt Hag was really strong. She suffers a little from tunnel vision; of all the killers she seems the least "aware" of what's going on around her, making her relatively easy to stealth.

But her power in my book is quite strong even at red ranks.

I think she’s far from bad. Her power is super strong, I think most people just prefer other killers Bc they have better sight. I’d say her vision is what suffers the most and why more people don’t play her.

    Unpopular opinion time:

    I hate Hag honestly.

I'll play any killer besides Hag imo she's the least fun killer in the game to play as.

I don't even level hag i got her to 50 and stopped will never prestige her. I have common map offerings and moon bouquets on hag still xD.

All my other killers are maxed Hag does not exist to me. The only killer i refuse to play.

I can't say she's "bad" in terms of is she a good killer in terms of getting kills though.

She's strong but not OP at all. Hag moves at 4.4m/s which is slower than most killers(still faster than survivors).

She absolutely needs her traps to catch people and traverse the map.

Having to set up a web of traps and being that slow makes her rather weak in the early game, giving you a good headstart on gens.

Crouching doesn't trigger traps, flashlights can destroy them and the range from which she can teleport over is limited, so pop them if she's far off or can't teleport at all because she's carrying a survivor on her shoulders for example.

Having no traps cripples her badly. Basement is dangerous, try not to go down next to it as best as you can and get Gens near it out of the way ASAP.

Pay attention to where Lisa's coming from when she spproaches and don't go there if you're chased because chances are she made that part of the map quite dangerous.

Aura reading perks can greatly help you with getting intel on where she's been to/which parts of the map have been trapped.

She can be really, really strong, but people don't play as her too much because most people don't like her "campy style" ( despite that this isn't the only way to play Hag ) or just don't find her fun to play ( I don't personally, but I still recognise how strong she can be ).

She’s a well balanced Killer. Very Strong Map pressure and has fair counterplay.

Whenever I have some bad matches I just equip my Minty Rag\Shackles combo with MYC/ToTH/Ruin and I...a l w a y s get the 4k before 1 gen is even done because survivors are to cocky to figure out I’ve got a plan in motion :,)

to late by the time I get the snowball/avalanche rolling on top of their corpses. If you do this make sure to save your black wards for your Minty Rags <3

She's strong but counterable, unlike spirit and nurse (who just got nerfed). Same as billy, can instant down but counterable by looping.

Hag is in my book the 5th best Killer in DBD. I leave it up to you if this is good or bad.

It's odd because she has good map pressure with teleportation and notification abilities, along with the most used killer perk. But I just don't particularly enjoy playing as her.

I've been playing a LOT of Hag recently, and I've noticed her strengths and her weaknesses revolve around how many traps she has set.

I play the "Minefield" playstyle, which normally ends up in losing a few gens in the beginning, but I have complete map pressure if I keep up my traps. I use Dried Cicada and Willow Wreath, which helps me properlly locate survivors and teleport practically anywhere. The survivor triggering the trap can easily mess up their chase, and can be easily be mindgames around pallets. This playstyle is also a lifesaver since you can max out Deviousness and even Brutality easily from setting up and triggering traps.

She takes a lot of patience, but investing in her would be very wise!

I say she is strong but happens to have a stupidly crippling weakness in the form of flashlights.

Hag is incredibly strong, but you need to know what you are doing.

I suggest watching youtubes/streamers. Seeing what they can do, as they have played a lot. It's amazing, and you learn a lot.

But comparing hag to "billy and nurse" they are kind of... in a league of their own, imo. Unless they continue to nerf them to death, I think it will remain that way. However, that doesn't mean any other killers are not good or viable in any ranks.

I main Hag and she has the distinct advantage of not having to loop to down survivors.

Teleport fast for best results and do not commit to long chases unless it is the last survivor.

My rule is 1 pallet broken, break chase.

Monitor and Abuse works well on her since she already has a reduced terror radius.

If you see flashlights in the lobby switch to another killer haha.

She is devastating at lower ranks (as are most killers) but red rank survivors can destroy her. Her slow speed allows EZ looping, and as someone already mentioned, she has to set up traps at the beginning of the game- this wastes time. Good survivors will chug through ruin skill checks, which puts even more pressure on Hag.

Or use Franklin's! She does work very well with Franklin's since it at least stalls her counter

Just my personal opinion. I don't think there are any bad killers anymore. If you mean bad as in compared to other killers then yes. But as in objectively bad even when not being compared to other killers then no.

Freddy was the last truly bad killer. But he's much better now.

I like where most of the killers are. I don't like Doctor not because he's bad but because he's not fun to play against. Don't like Nurse because she is too hard to play. Don't like Spirit cause she is too hard to play.

@StarMoral Agreed, but with only 4 perk slots I need to make hard decisions.

I play all killers except Nurse, so switching it up is fine with me.

I've been running Noed on my Hag recently (you know, cause I can) and I honestly have yet to use it XDDD

I don't think hags bad at all, but she is incredibly overrated. Simply put her power is way too easy too counter, especially with flashlights. And in the end without traps she's an M1 killer with less movement speed.

If her power was not hard countered by flashlights she would be top 5 for sure, but since it is she ain't higher then Huntress. Plus in a chase cordinated players will simply run around and activate all the traps once you are in a chase.

@BunnyTheHutt As you well know, well coordinated teamwork is the counter to all killers.

That being said, I break chase in a second if I can wound someone else, so doing that will backfire with me.

True, but that doesn't change the fact flashlights completely stop any teleporting shenanigans.

Never thought she was bad, though her trap setting time was annoying asf at first.

I believe that Hag is probably one of the best killers in the game and is the only killer I completely hate going against. Having played Hag a bit myself, I view her as a version of Nurse that doesn't need to aim considering that phantasms already face the direction of the player but requires strategical skill rather than mechanical skill to get much use out of her power.

People who believe that Hag is weak often look to her lower movement speed and do not understand that she is not played as a chase killer but rather a killer who you need to play smarter with to get downs with your traps.
