Deceptive Pricing in the Store
To preface, I understand that most of this is all marketing and mindgames in order to get you to buy more stuff.
I hate that the store constantly lists auric cell items as "10% off" despite that being their normal price all the time, I know that this is to indicate that its 10% less than the equivalent iridescent shard price but even items that are only available with auric cells list their price as 10% off, its not 10% off, its normal price.
Another massively annoying thing is that this new sale on the old hallowed blight skins are supposedly "25% off"!!!! but they're not, they're 15% off, because they're always 10% off. It feels super scummy and sly to say that they're 25% off. and I feel like there's some law against labeling something as on sale despite that being the actual price, something about false advertising.
Again, this isn't massive, just something that has been bothering me for a while and want to know if its bothering others.
EDIT: I now know that this is called Deceptive Pricing but can't be bothered to look if it's against any laws.

The percent off is the discount for buying the whole outfit rather than each piece individually. With most outfits each piece is 400 cells so buying all three pieces would normally be 1200, but instead it's 1080 which is 120 cells (10% of 1200) off. Currently the Hallowed Blight outfits are 900 cells, which is 300 (25% of 1200) cheaper than the sum of each piece.

This. There's no deception here.

Only thing I don't like is that they the prices are just over buying a pack of auric cells.
Whole outfit is 1080 cells while the $10 pack gives 1,000 so you have to buy the $20 one.

a $10 auric cell pack give 1k + 100 extra cells. I mean it literally says that in the store. you know if you look instead of assume.

Have you seen the Pig Leather outfit? It's 1,188 cells. Just over how much you'd get from buying the $10 pack of cells

i didn't know that. My only advice is just don't buy it also the question wasn't about that it was about how other outfits are 1080 and saying the $10 auric cells only give 1k.

In Europe its illegal to have something on sale when it haven't been sold for its full price for a period first. Fallout 76 suffered from this, when they put a shitload of garbage on the macro-transaction store and they ended up facing threats of lawsuits.
Anyway, its a very common strategy. Everything's priced in a way to force you to buy more Cells than you need to get something.. then get pressured into spending more since you have a few left.
10 euro for a virtual skin is insane to begin with. I don't know why people are defending it.

There's literally no skin aside from the pig one for whatever reason that costs more than $10 in auric cells. Anyone who says $10 is overpriced obviously hasn't seen the cost of skins in other games. There's no deception, they're not hiding anything from you or forcing you to buy the cells. Also with the price someone stated the obvious above. each piece of an outfit is 400 cells and there are 3 pieces. So the total should be 1200. But if you want the entire outfit you get a 10% discount on it.

In retail (at least here in Canada) if something stays marked as "clearance" for 2 years the clearance price automatically has to become the new "regular" price.

I love it,the pricing police coming out lol. Give me a break

Epic/Purple outfits should not cost 10 bucks. It should cost 800-900 auric cells.

...that’s still 10 dollars. When 4.99 = 500 cells, that’s still 10 bucks. Purples should be 500 cells.

It is, but that's not the point i'm trying to make. You'd still be able to get something else than an epic outfit.
