Rancor needs a rework.
How can a perk be so bad for the other survivors, but so affective on the obsession? This perk needs the dying light treatment, make it less toxic but make it better overall and actually have an impact throughout the trial, without it being a cheesy kill at the end.
Edit: I overall want the perk buffed, funny people assume I'm a survivor main when I main killer but ok.

My solo teammate got killed, not me. Glad to see you are assuming. But no, it's just a badly design perk. It's either really good or really crap. Sorry for wishing for more killer perks to be viable. Guess I'll stick with the same old Ruin and BBQ.

What the Original Poster is saying is that It should not ONLY work on the Obsession, so give it the Dying Light Treatment aka rework it so it impacts both Survivors and the obsession separately.
So Here's how I envision it:
After hooking a Survivor who is not the obsession earn a token, Once the tokens hit the maximum of 8/7/6 you can now kill the obsession by your hand. Then Once The Exit gates are powered per 2 tokens will make the exit gates harder to open by 2/3/4 % for all survivors who aren't the Obsession in return the Obsession can open them 3/4/5 % Faster.
Meaning all Survivors can get punished but will have the same impact as the original perk.

Actually, Rancor is one I use occasionally with STBFL. Given I typically leave the obsession alone, this gives me an ace in the hole to pull it back.
Rancor is actually one of the few obsession perks that gives the killer a viable power all game and gives the obsession something in return (A full game and a warning it's coming), but it's stlll powerful enough to use.
With Rancor, the killer will let the Obsession Play, which is more than we can say with the old dying light.
Leave it alone. I'm kinda getting sick of all you weaklings trying to get rid of everything that suddenly shifts the momentum of the game against you. This game would lose it's soul if every single one of those mechanics was stripped from it.

Obsession should also suffer from hinder and exhaustion after gates are powered.

lol yeah, but either way it would be a cool idea.. (Maybe even a new Killer Perk perhaps...)

Weakling? Lol apparently if you complain about a killer perk that automatically makes you a survivor main huh. Besides, I wouldn't be talking if I were you. Throughout dbd survivor perks got nerfed more frequently than killer perks. Survivor perks that would shift the momentum LOL
1 -
- Dead Hard
- Decisive Strike
- Borrowed Time
- Adrenaline
- Balanced Landing
- Deliverance
- Head On
- Sprint Burst
- Unbreakable
Also, if you look at the big picture, extending back to the start... well Survivors were insane at first so it turns out that alot of those "nerf" were to bring them back from the mountain they were on.
Wanna list Killer perks that can "Shift the momentum?" I'll wait.
Stay Civil okay?

Sigh completely missed the point of the comment. Did I ever say survivors didn't have second chance perks? Stay civil? Sure once people don't go assuming stuff.

Then what does this mean? " Survivor perks that would shift the momentum LOL"
I'm still waiting on the Killer Perk list.

I got a really healthy Legion Rework thread on Feedback. Here's hoping Devs see it!
But yeah, 2016-2017 DBD made me stop playing for a long long time, only coming back with Legion being released.

Just follow the obsession around and uncloak & mori at the end lol

I don't understand why killers run these end game perks. Rancor especially. I mean you're really about to play a game expecting the obession to survive until the last gen is done just so you can kill him? I for one play to win. I don't want anyone making it to the end game.

They could use it for an aura build.
Bbq, rancor, thrilling tremors spies from shadows/ nurses calling.
To keep tabs on survivors

all the perk is is a free kill if a killer is terrible at the game
1 -
Rancor is fine. I don't see the problem. The only thing I'd change is remove the Rancor notification and return it to how it used to be, so that Survivors who haven't been paying attention (or who just used DS) might get surprised by it.

why are you listing unbreakable and inner strength those aren't even bad to go against
1 -
but it's 100% your fault if a survivor uses unbreakable
1 -
100% his fault that you have to slug cause of gens popping quickly or just to apply pressure? Wow... You need to think about the bigger picture. Unbreakable takes time to use yes, but on the same hand so do chases and trying to keep the other 3 off of gens. You are being really double standard!

whenever I see unbreakable used as killer I always go "damn" they used unbreakable fair and square
1 -
Yeah, but it's not "100% your fault"
They way you said it made it really rude!
0 -
Unbreakable is very hard to use. I run unbreakable all the time and I only get it to use it maybe once every five games that I brought it, if even that. If a survivor uses it against you it was 100% in your power to prevent it.
1 -
This was at least a better way to say it then just "100% your fault" So i approve!

Rancor is great for the "mori one survivor" Daily Ritual. I eqiup it, follow the obsession around, and kill them once the last gen pops. Easy.
Yes, it's a completely asinine way to do it, but it doesn't require an offering nor the effort of Devour Hope.
Rancor used to be great against survivors running old DS, but it doesn't really work against new DS so well, since the survivor with DS isn't necessarily the obsession.

"I was just pretending to be dumb"
Ok

You just lucky I was wearing my Adult Hat at the time. If I were wearing my Suvivor Main Hat it would have been a lot spicier!

He never did give me that list.

Rancor is not fun to go against as a survivor .The best counter I use is to harass the killer in a Chase with another survivor ,either taking hit or blocking pallet breaks from behind and forcing the killer to down and hook you .Rancor loses a lot of power if you stay injured and are on your last hook ,it just saves them a trip to the hook.
