Survivor Perks Idea - Opinions?
Hi, there!
I've got a chapter in mind to post sometime in the future, I just have to finish all the drawings, reference images and balancing a few of the Perks. While I'm not too concerned about going a bit overboard with the Killer Perks (I mean, IMO, they should be a bit overpowered), I'm having a hard time with the Survivor ones, as I feel they are either: crap or too good. I did, however, came to a final 3. Please, feel free to leave any input, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Survivor Role: Bird-Watcher
Perk 1: Anywhere in the map, any crow disturbed by an Ally reveals that Ally's aura to you for a few seconds. 30 seconds cooldown.
Perk 2: In a given radius, any crow disturbed by the Killer gives you an audio and visual cue. 30 seconds cooldown.
Perk 3: After getting hit by the Killer, Blinding or Stunning the Killer, reveals the Killer's aura to you for a few seconds. Cannot be activated more than once in a chase.
My concerns: Perk 1 and 2 are a bit too similar. Maybe combine both into a single one and create a new one (though that would make it a bit too OP)? Or maybe ditch one of them altogether in favor of a new one? I like the idea of risky moves and being rewarded for them, so with that thought in mind, for a possible third Perk, I came up with: "Disturbing a crow reveals the aura of the nearest Generator for a few seconds, but it also reveals your Aura to the Killer for a few seconds. 60 seconds cooldown".
I feel these would synergize well with a few Perks such as Open-Handed and/or Distortion. Though people rarely ever use those, so maybe a bit of a shift in the meta would be actually kind of nice? And Hex: The Third Seal would actually be picked more often!

Perk 1 is good, not much else I can say it's a solid perk.
Perk 2 is just survivor spies from the shadows, which no one runs because you can just watch the birds, and if you have perk 1 you'll already know whether it's a survivor or a killer setting them off.
Perk 3 is kinda useless, the activation conditions mean that you'd already know where the killer is and so you wouldn't need to be able to track them. I'd make it into: "After getting hit by the Killer, Blinding or Stunning the Killer, reveals the Killer's aura to all other survivors". That way it's much more useful.

Maybe a good way to combo 1 and 2 without steering too much into OP territory:
Perk 1: Anywhere in the map, any crow disturbed by an Ally reveals that Ally's aura to you for a few seconds. 30 seconds cooldown. Passive: Sounds made by nearby disturbed crows are much more discernible.
As for Perk number 3, I was thinking more in the lines of it being a helping hand to the player in the so-called "mind games" around walls and places where they wouldn't have a clear line of sight of the killer. This could probably combo well with Urban Evasion, Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me, Lithe etc. Revealing the Killer's aura for the entire team would still help with that, though. But I guess the duration would need to be shorter than 8 seconds (even in tier 3) and I would remove revealing when hit. Thoughts?
As for the "new" Perk since I combo'd the first two, "Disturbing a crow reveals the aura of the nearest Generator not powered up for a few seconds, but it also reveals your Aura to the Killer for a few seconds. 60 seconds cooldown". I feel this is pretty strong, as having map awareness is gold in this game, so I tried to balance it by giving it a hindrance, though may be unnecessary, since killers might already have more than enough tools to find someone that is disturbing a lot of crows and walking at the edge of the map, where most of the crows are. Thoughts on this one as well?
Thanks for the feedback! (:
