Should Hillbilly Have A Speed Reduction?

Now before any Billy mains come chainsaw sprinting at me, just look at the facts.

Okay, so we all know that most killers that have high mobility tend to have speed nerfs. Nurse can teleport and moves at 98% speed or something, Spirit moves at 110% (due to her Yamoaka Haunting Speed), and the Hag also moves at 110% speed (considering she can teleport to her traps). The Huntress has 110% movement speed on account of her range but that's not really relevant. So why doesn't the Hillbilly have a decreased speed? He has probably the highest mobility in the game (depending on the map) and that mobility doubles as an instadown. Naturally, that warrants a speed reduction. I'd like to hear your opinions. I know the Chainsaw is hard to use but I mean, look at the Nurse. She is harder to learn, takes more skill, and doesn't have an instadown. So like, seriously.

Not unless you are willing to give Billy a hell of a lot more control over the chainsaw so he can't just be looped without it.

The reason why Hag/Spirit/Huntress work as 110% killers is because they can use their powers while being looped. Billy can to a certain extent, but it requires an incredible amount of practice and control, can easily be dodged, and isn't even really something intended as much as an interesting way players found use his power.

Even with his chainsaw Billy is still very susceptible to looping.

In fact a survivor that's smart will often use the speed reduction of Billy charging the chainsaw to get one or two extra loops in before dropping the pallet.

I dont play billy so my opinion is mostly speculation but i am a killer only player. The handful of times ive touched billy (he still sits at lv 1 amongs my killers so 1 perk lot no addons or offerings) I say those games have ended in 4k just on the fact that that i can zoom around the maps with the chainsaw (Also ive lucked out and gotten open area maps those few games as well)

A base speed reduction would be something i wouldnt be opposed to. But as some others have stated if that were to ever happen I feel they would definitely need to compensate him with more control over his chainsaw.

Again i dont play billy and dont have the insight that other experienced billy players or other killer players in general have so dont judge for my personal opinion

Is there a reason you're being so hostile? All I did was suggest a simple change and asked people's opinion. There is no need to be so rude

No, I appreciate your contributions. You pose a good point and a good point if view.

Calling out an agenda isn't being rude, it's calling out an agenda. When I can predict something to the tee and it plays out one can deduce what I say is accurate and should consider whether that agenda is nefarious in intent.

Now this thread will spark others to do the same keeping the thrust of the forums geared towards killer nerfs while avoiding the potential backlash from spamming the exact same thread for a given killer day after day.

It's not an "agenda", it was a question. I don't think Spirit needs a nerf, I don't think Nurse needs a nerf (although I welcome her changes and the new playstyles it will bring), or anyone else. I just noticed something and decided to bring my question to the community. Don't lump me in with everyone else who wants to complain about every killer. I actively play both sides and before reset, I was equal rank on both.

You're literally just being pretentious with the way you're speaking and you obviously know it.

Sure, it's your question. A completely transparent question following the pattern of behavior I outlined.

Spam the forums with requests to nerf this killer for a few days, then switch up to that killer, then move on to the next killer and repeat the cycle until a theatre of consensus is created when in reality it's the same few survivors posting on alt accounts.

Pretending to be in disagreement with Nurse nerfs after they are all but assured to seem disconnected from it is equally transparent. If one thinks Hillbilly needs a nerf then one most assuredly felt Nurse needed a nerf. She has/had the same capabilities Hillbilly did but better in application.

You're welcome to believe what you want and use all the new big words you learned from Google. 'Same survivors posting on alt accounts". You have a absolutely no idea what you're talking about and it's comical.

Killers are 110% when their power is enough to reliably and single-handedly win chases.

Nurse, Spirit, Huntress and Hag meet this requirement.

    Hillbilly does not.

Also Legion, Freddy, Wraith and Demogorgon exist as additional examples of Killers with mobility powers that don't have sufficient reliability to qualify for 110%.

Then I guess you have nothing to worry about Mr. 18 post alt account. I'm sure everyone will laugh right along with you and not see things as I've outlined. You have it covered. You're all set.

Sorry, Mr. 13 post alt account when you started the thread.

Okay but look at Clown. He has probably one of the best chase ending potentials in the game, he just severely lacks in map pressure. I'm not advocating for a Clown nerf or buff, I'm just providing an counter example

No, he is fine where he is

What ABOUT Clown? He's 115% and his power while helpful isn't enough to end chases on it's own.

When the Clown hits you with a bottle it becomes easier for him to hit you.

When the Huntress hits you with a hatchet you've already been hit.

When I say that their power must help in a chase I don't mean "be kinda helpful".

I mean "This power completely negates the normal chase dynamics".

Running from a Huntress is categorically different from running from a Ghostface in ways that running from a Clown or Billy just isn't.

Nah his speed is fine, he can be easily looped unlike some of the other better killers.

    Simple answer: no.

Long Answer: NOoooooooooooo. He can be looped and taken care of. WE need to BUFF lower Killers. Not NERF the ones that are fine.

In my opinion, Hillbilly is perfectly fine as he is. I believe we should be focused on buffing lower tier killers instead of nerfing, at least as of right now.

Billy shouldn't be nerfed. I firmly believe ALL killers who require as much skill and dedication as his experienced chainsaw tech should be as viable as he is.

Billy is fun and fair to face, yes he has a insta down but to get chainsawed he either needs charge add ons or for you to make a mistake he can punish, as he's easily looped. (Except skillbillies, who curve so we'll you may as well just hide all game)

He got no effective anti-loop. That's why he's 115%. Easy like that.

Basekit Billy is most fair as killer can be. When they rework his addons I wouldnt be surprised if tuning guide became more rare tho.

No. Billy is one of the best balanced killers and I'm talking from survivor perspective.

I hope they won't ever change him.

Billy doesn't need a speed reduction, either to base or chainsaw running. He's a strong killer but not unfair.

What needs a nerf isn't Billy, it's BBQ's aura reading.
