Mettle of Man rework
Everyone knows that MoM was a mistake. It was broken and over powered. So BHVR decided to nerf the perk and now noone is using it because it doesn't work.
So there is one idea I had in mind and wanted to share it with you.
Mettle of Man
- When you have healed other Survivors for the equivalent of one Health State, Mettle of Man activates.
- While Mettle of Man is active unlocks the ability to heal yourself without a Med-Kit at 100 % the normal Healing speed.
- Mettle of Man deactivates once you are completely healed.
Mettle of Man can be activated more than once.

Well i like the idea, its like the perk solidarity should have been. So as a rework concept, i like it.
But still thinking the downside of MoM should somehow be implemented, cause it matches so well with the franchise, removing it feels kinda wrong.

Maybe after fully healed the Killer could see your aura for 6 seconds?

I really think if protection hits actually counted (all of them) it would be alright.
The balance of this perk, is making it harder to obtain. It shouldn't be easy, IMO. It needs to take some amount of effort to activate, as it's a free shield basically. I've seen people still activate MoM btw... I assume people just don't want to take the effort to do that most of the game, and the frustration when hits don't actually count that should.
This re-work.... I really don't get.. This is like an entirely new perk suggestion o.o
If I am understanding you, It's basically a one time use heal, combining self care + we'll make it. I'd just make another perk name for it to be honest o.o

i think it would work with your version, but still this full aura reveal of the current version gives this evil dead spirit and matches so well with the franchise, it wouldnt be the same, you know what i mean?
Isnt that the sense of an rework? (for example: Tinkerer) This completly understandable, cause the difficulty to balance MoM, many players suggest a complete rework.
Fixing the protection hits would be one step forward, but wouldnt make the perk less trash tier. It needs adjustment/an rework, but in a balanced an fair way.
Ahoywolf meant it to be an perk that can be multiple times be activated.

Oh Misread this
Mettle of Man can be activated more than once.
So a multiple use self care + we'll make it.
Personally, I think MoM was nerfed because it was strong... And I think it is still a viable perk with some tweaks. Being Ash, I pictured the perk with him giving his middle finger to Evil. Just fast self caring in a corner... Idk... that doesn't seem like a very Ash thing to me. I just think of something that "sticks" it to Evil is all.
The Ash Vs. Evil Dead
Mettle Of Man
Elk Grove undergoes a major battle that takes place on the streets, Ash rides high in a military tank, speeding across shaky, post-apocalyptic Elk Grove. Ash fights the biggest battle of them all - a sixty foot tall Kandarian demon.
Ash Williams: "You want to test the mettle of man, huh? How about you *taste* the metal of man?"

Oh and i think ahoywolf mean not 100% faster healing speed like we'll make it, 100% as the normal healing speed.
The current MoM isnt better, getting this stacks are pretty counterproductive for the whole team and if you play solo and try to activate it you need a perk that can heal yourself, its pretty unreliable and in the end if your solo you end up like you mentioning self caring as ash in a corner ._. The perk need some adjustment to be more reliable and useable, but also be balanced. I usually use MoM as solo survivor, to try to activate it as much as possible and its just worthless.

If you want a perk to a have a downside it has to actually be worth its while in the first place

And what if the healing speed was increased to 150 % but the killer could see your aura while healing and when fully healed your aura will be still showing for the next 6 seconds?

THAT'S WHERE THAT'S FROM! it was really bothering me.

That sounds interesting and risky, sounds like an great concept. So it woul kinda match with this all knowing evil ๐
True, i just think this downside matches so well with the franchise and should be implemented in some way. Its just a personal opinion ๐
