Now that the PTB is over...

What changes (if any) do you think will be applied to the Mid-Chapter patch before we get it on the 22nd?

I kind of don't think anything of significance will change.

Also, does anyone else feel like the "specialness" of the Halloween event is kind of reduced now that the vials aren't collected in a match directly but through the battlepass instead?

It's kind of a worse Bloodhunt now isn't it? Except with unique gens and hooks, and an offering requirement to get the bonus.

It will be better than last year that is for certain.

Now... you won't fill your vial and then waste the offering, cause you only needed one hook or one sucky sucky to finish your vial.

Now if you finish getting your vials, you can still put out the offering to get the bonus points.

I don't think there will be any changes though.. at least not to the nurse tweaks.

This was the same last year. Whenever one of those Plants got harvested, you got the 4K BP. Same with hooking on a Special Hook. You simply did not get any Vile Progress.

I hope the fragments drop from 10 required to 5 or even 7. 8000xp for a single tier is too much considering average xp per match is 400 to 500 (can be lower or higher but on average) which means most people need to play two matches for ONE fragment. Which means 20 matches for one tier in the rift.

And yeah, the Hallowed Blight event is basically just a bloodhunt now like the winter event has been for a while.

I personally loved last year's halloween event but people complained that side objective via the flowers caused the games to be far too focused on them (people not playing like they normally do) and thus ruined DBD for them until the event ended.

So now at least nobody has a reason to complain that people suicide/farm to rush the vials. DBD never does too much for the events so this is still pretty decent I would say.

Also the rift gives us 70 days to get the vials so that's actually amazing since nobody has to be dependant on the lengh of the event itself.

That exactly. I am not excited at all about the Halloween event, there is nothing special about it (yea you get more BP IF you do the special gens/hooks). It's been completely taken over by the battlepass and now you can "get it before the rift closes"... has nothing to actually do with Halloween. So what if you can get it done LATER, maybe even past thanksgiving.... that completely trivializes actual HALLOWEEN itself... right now ... this month...

    /shrug.

I liked it being apart of the game/match. And them shoving it up into the battlepass, just makes me think about the having to PAY to unlock EVERYTHING, which makes me think... am I missing out? And its an EVENT everyone who PARTAKES in it... should not miss out on stuff.... so its just ... meh.

The vials in the rift are in the free slot, you don't need to pay for it at all...

Hmm no, a lot more is gonna be available, that'll quickly raise it above other Bloodhunts for me.

When did I say it needed to be paid for? Also, the free pass IS the battlepass lol

I get what you're saying, but I'm really just talking about how this is probably how all events are going to be handled from now on. Event rewards in the battlepass rather than being directly earned from holiday events.

Just sad to me is all.

I suppose survivors get special medkits and flashlights...

Too bad killers can't get anything special like that...

i feel like it's kind of like an incentive to BUY the pass.

If you buy the pass you can make your money back, earn the vials as well, and unlock additional cosmetics.(basically just that nurse skin)

So to me i feel like it is a bit scummy that they took away the vials but it could be worse.

Look at Gears5 THEY JUST DROPPED ANOTHER DLC character from Terminator and you cannot unlock her for free through playing the game and grinding, you have to drop 20 dollars..

so if you're complaining about this id suggest all of you to quit whinging because we could have it a lot worse.

im not. the rift is fine, but the 110 hour grind, and thats assuming you can do ALL the challenges, is too much. even by BHVR's own words.

"Our goal for our first Tome and Rift is to base our completion targets on the average daily play time of 1 hour/user, provided by our internal data. Given this, completion of The Rift and all its rewards should take roughly 70 to 80 hours of gameplay, provided players accomplish Challenges from each role."

This was gonna be my first Halloween event, but now I'm just meh. I've missed all the other ones due to work.

This game has had tons of issues though I had always thought It was fun. It seems to be slowly pushing people away in favor of the newer players who can't yet play the game.
