As a survivor, if you win a chase / break LOS long enough...
Greetings,
I'm Ms. Genny from the Block.
I don't like the looping strategy that Survivors result to in order to evade a killer. It really feels "toxic" cuz it's silly that a horror game has you running in circles around broken pieces of buidlings/structures (jungle gyms).
I feel like the Devs should remove the scratch marks if a Survivor wins a chase. From what I understand, when you "win" a chase as a Survivor, you are able to break line of sight and get away from the killer for a certain amount of time.
Once a Killer engages in another chase or "finds" you again, then the scratch marks can come back.
I really want Survivor gameplay to move away from the looping. It's difficult for new players to understand it and that's why your entire team can be potatoes who get downed in 10 seconds or one player is able to skillfully loop a Killer who refuses to concede.
Thanks!

Never gonna happen, at most what they will do is make looping harder, and survivors weaker and weaker until their game dies.

Looping would still be more viable.
Also, you can be chasing a survivor in your LoS and not be in a chase.

So, survivors will have to feel like how killers have (except top tier killers like nurse and Billy) for the past 3 years.

I feel like they'd need to rework the entire game to remove looping.

See that's why I said the game should make it clearer about the "roles".
Basically a perfect team would be;
Healer (survivor that focus on healing teammates and use perks such has BT, we'll make it, empathy, etc)
Tank (Most ppl run these builds, they include DH, DS or anything meant to make the Killer lose time)
Immersed (they are the stealthy fixer and cleanser going around doing things. Yes gens weren't repairing themselves. Usually run urban evasion, lithe, spinechill, etc)
Most ppl don't really understand this and go for the Tank class and will tell you to do the same. This is wrong.
You should try to fit yourself into a role you'd enjoy (I assume you'd like immersed) and build your perks with that in mind. Of course you can use any perk even if they fit more a certain "class" but just make sure that you can contribut to the team's effort to escape.
I hope that helped :)

But you know that chase mechanics are broken, sometimes even treated different in killer tactics? Removing scratchmarks till a chase begins? Okay remove all pallets then.

Nope, sounds like you're playing a different game then I am. You're either A, a killer main with no surivor exp, or a SWF only player.

You realize alot of the times that Killers will find the survivor in the first place with scratch marks? Remove them till a chase starts? That's really dumb. That would be basically giving every Killer Legions Nerf of not being able to see scratch marks in FF. No. A million times no. Survivors would be able to run anywhere they want and have free reign. This is a really really bad idea.

This is a "stealth" game where they heqvily degraded graphics to make survivors easier to see, as well as few dark outfits. And no hiding spots besides lockers. Because.

HI! Would you like to see how DBD was back in the day to understand why it seems like Survivors get alot of nerfs or would you rather just keep your silly bias?

the devs do not favor one side above the other.
they did that in the past (resulting in survivors being ridiculously strong back in the day - which is what @CrowFoxy referred to), but they have learned from that mistake.
survivors have received multiple, much needed, nerfs and killers some buffs that really helped the game. its in the most balanced and healthy state it has ever been - with survivors still being the power role btw.
in case you are wondering why the devs focussed on survivor nerfs rather than killer nerfs lately, i'll just link you a couple of videos of how the game was back in the day.
(this one shows 2 things: sabotage back in the day and how bad the survivors played, which allowed killers to actually catch them and win the game. if they were as optimal as they are now, they'd have been literally untouchable)

Thank you. These are the exact Videos I was gonna link.

Not interested, especially since one of the videos includes tru3talent

Cool, refuse to see anything but your own narrow view. Shows how you are more than anything else.
Have fun in the Fog, cause it's useless talking to you.

Actually, I'm a 50/50 player.

This is just blatantly a bad idea. For one thing, chases break around most of the common loops half the time anyway. The frequency of chases breaking is in no way representative of a chase being "won" and not deserving of a stealth mode.
Scratch marks are a fundamental of the game. Pacing is already largely survivor favoured, and with no scratch marks, survivors are free to sprint over the whole map consequence-free.
This would be an overall negative change for both sides. On the killer side, finding people without specific perks appearing in the bloodweb would become a nightmare, and on the survivor side, removing looping entirely would drastically reduce the duration of chases. Survivors would feel powerless once found, but killers would have to just wander aimlessly until someone makes a mistake.

As you said, it can be a bit difficult for new players. But once you get used to the mechanics of the game, it will be a lot easier for you. The same applies to scratchmarks. Running is not being stealthy, therefore your scratchmarks are revealed.
Just keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it soon.

i am so glad you dont have an biased opinion on this matter...

False, survivors have a mega ton of perks that help with loops that I honestly don't mind
Survivors growing weaker won't kill the game

It’s not that difficult to understand when you know that running away from something bad trying to kill you is a big part of a horror film.

We both know that'll never happen. Survivor will always be the power role.
