DC's
I've been seeing a lot more survivors dc recently. Especially if they are the first to be downed. They'll DC either right as I start picking them up, or right before they get hooked (presumably to waste time and BBQ stacks. It's getting bad, and even when I play survivor I see it, it makes it harder to win because we're down a player because someone was a sore loser. I thought dedicated servers were gonna fix this issue

I’d ban every single dc out of those people

DCs will always be hard to ban and it's something you will have to live with. The "leave match" option is on the pause menu for a reason. Sometimes real life happens and you have to leave early. I've done it.
And a machine cannot tell the difference between rage quitting and needing to leave.

I suppose, and perhaps hard bans aren't the answer. But something needs to be done. Almost every game now has a DC. Whether I'm playing as survivor or killer.

While I cant stand rage quitters, the only thing that actually punishing DCers would do is have them shift to suiciding on first hook instead. Its pretty much the same result, but dodging the consequences. Ive had ppl come find me, so they could give up and suicide at the start of the match because they didnt like the killer/map/whatever. Last time this happened...I just left the guy slugged on the floor. I'll gladly waste 4 minutes of his time if he wants a quick out.

The devs had planned immediate time-outs for players who dc too often for somewhen after dedicated servers are live.
Since dedicated servers are still not working properly, we will have to wait for this.

I honestly doubt thatll do anything, but cause ppl to change how they immediately leave the game. Someone who wants to ragequit after being found and hooked too fast will still cause their teammates to suffer a 3V1 game by just suiciding and moving onto the next game. The only plus side is the killer gets his BBQ stack, but that match will be just as scraped as it is now.

It's a regular thing. The only time i don't blame someone for dcing is when the killer constantly tunnels and camps. All other instances are pretty lame.

Let's wait if this really happens. Could definitely be the case, but let's see first how this plays out.

I think they should remove the "leave match" option completely.
Yes, real life happens, but if it does I just go in a locker or I'm just afk, doing the rl thing that has to be done. The killer can get his hooks and kill and the team mates can get up to two unhooks and everyone will get their points and the killer still wastes a few seconds on me, without me doing anything. There's literally no need to ever leave a match. And even if there is - just close the game completely.
I think a lot of DCs happens because this option is there. Don't like the killer or map? Just leave match and search for a new one in a few seconds.
I think if the DCer would have to close the game and restart it again, it might would get on their own nerves to do this.
