First Person Perk for survivors

I cant be alone in thinking that having the choice for a first person experience would be a great addition - right? I understand that the survivor camera is in 3rd to help position yourself better for hiding, looking around corners without having to expose yourself, seeing stain during chase, keeping an eye on your surroundings whilst working on objectives, etc. but why not have it for those who want to enhance their experience?

personally, i think there should be a Perk that simply switches the camera perspective from 3rd to first - nothing more, nothing less. it could also perhaps just boost your bloodpoint percentage to compensate for harder gameplay. Its there if you want it. Whilst each gender has their own animation set - im sure all survivors are under the same skeletal rig: so they would only need to make an animation set of 1st person perspectives for one rig and map it to each character. i doubt simply shifting the camera forward would be good since the game de-renders assets when the camera gets to close, trying alter this could just make unnecessary problems.

I can only image how seeing a huntress hatchet suddenly fly in your direction, a spirit suddenly phase ahead of you, trying to make your way through the clowns gas or just seeing a ghost face peeking round some corner will look in a close and personal perspective. it'll definitely be more scary when seeing the killer come after YOU rather than the character you see yourself controlling on screen.

I mean, it would be cool but you would be at a very big disadvantage for using it. Looping would be pretty much impossible because you couldn't see where the killer was coming from.

Survivors used to be first person during development... then the devs decided against it. There is actually a reason for this... since nobody wants to just stare at a gen the entire time.

In lore, I think it's due to the entity observing their actions, whereas they have direct control of the killer.

I mean, the entire fov gradually turning red as the red stain covers you might be a good hint.

i understand the disadvantages with how the meta of the game works - thats why i believe it should just be simple perk that would also reward you for playing with such disadvantages. as a perk, if you dont wanna play with it, you dont have to use it.

but this far into the game, it no longer has to be forced upon people - especially as a perk. those who use the perk obliviously wouldn't mind certain aspects of it if its enhancing their experiencing - thats why they'd pick it. its kinda like being able to switch between 3rd and 1st in battlefront on modern warfare back in the day. its there if you want it and the choice is great!

must admit, I like this idea...I've always wanted to have a first person perspective as a Survivor just to see what it would feel like.

It sounds very cool and definitely wouldn't alter the game for anyone but the user and maybe the killer with easier chases, which I'm not against. As well, a blood point bonus wouldn't be game breaking. Could go as far as getting a tokens for:

    2 max for safe rescue

2 max for complete generator progression

1 max for opening a gate

Each token is 20% total blood point bonus for a max of 100% bonus.
