They all DC - I depip- Devs day this is fine?
So I pop in as Huntress. The survivors see I brought Irridescent Heads with extra axes. They all DC and I am punished with a DC.
How is this ok, Devs?
I know survivor mains will say “you deserve it for bringing OP addons”. But for real? I lose a rank because survivors didn’t want to play against me?
Come on, now. Survivors get a safety Pip if the killer DC’s, but Killers don’t get the same courtesy?
And no, this wasn’t well into the match or anything. It was less than a minute. A SWF team didn’t want to deal so I depip and derank. Fair and balanced?

Don't use oneshot addons at all then? I know it's part of the game but let's be honest those kind of addons are the most BS in the game. A match is pretty much pointless then and gg ez for the killer except the huntress is the biggest potatoe in the world. I don't get it why the devs still keep that in the game. Versed a huntress lately with irridescent heads + ebony mori, so full brainless tryhard mode which guaranteed most fun for everyone. I won't defend DCing but at least suiciding on hook is quite reasonable in this case.

Survivor mains all seem to have the exact same responses. "You deserve to depip and derank if you do or use things we don't like."

regardless of what OP using, dc is never acceptable, not to mention getting depip from someone else’s dc, period.

No it isn’t fair and balanced but neither are your addons so I’d say it’s a stalemate. Most killers know the risk of dc’s running certain addons, not that it’s fair but maybe the devs should look at the addons that cause consistent disconnects.

1st: I'm not a survivor "main" (I still hate that word).
2nd: Yes you totally deserve a depip or blackpip at least because you just wanna an ez and fast 4K although you won't even get much BP at all.

Dc's are bannable but yeah they promised something will be done when dedicated servers come.
And yeah if you are defending dc's which are bannable you can't be taken seriously in any discussion.

Lets face it, if you bring those add-ons, a survivor wont have much fun. They probably dc-ed when you hit the real one very quick and they got downed real quick. And lets be fair, if they played this match, they would have walked away with maybe a safety pip because of what you decided to bring. How is that far to them? To me, this is the most broken add-on in the game. i have played many matches, but a huntress with this add-ons is just a very onesided killer round with almost no chance for the survivors. You decided to wanna play like this. They decided they rather opt out. I cant blame them. I understand fully. And yeah, I probably would have done it too, or more likely, suicided on first hook You only have so much free time to play. then these matches are just a very waste of time. Why place this when you can have a good nice, not tryharding game as well?
Your decision to use broken add-ons, their decision to leave. And face it. They depipped as well from it. Because of you and your decision to bring it. There are no winners in games like this. Only killer maybe if they didnt leave. there is nothing for a survivor in a match with these add-ons.

DCs should be punishable for both sides, not one. I can't believe people are here saying devs should be reworking the addons instead of working on a solution towards DC in general. Gotta love the people saying, "you deserved it". I guess we know who likes to DC.

I think that if even one person disconnects the game should lower the safety to nothing. None of the other players should lose out because of bad internet or salty players.

The extension of this logic is that survivors can justifiably DC from anything they're going up against that they consider OP. Nurse? DC. Spirit? DC. The game? DC. Lery's? DC.
It's a false equivalency.

Fact that anyone justifies DCing, in any shape or form, is a huge sign of idiocy, bias and disrespect towards others. It truly is saddening seeing so many people actually defending this by saying "BuT yOuR aDD-onS aRe OP!!", but I cant really expect anything more from a specific... group of people who shall not be named.

Disconnecting is not okay, no matter what.
Most of all, it should NOT affect your rank. It's not a skill based ranking system if someone can literally NOT play the game and that is your opponent, and them NOT playing, lowers YOUR rank.(You... the person trying to actually play..).. That makes no sense what so ever.. lol. Vice versa, and that makes way more sense (aka you not playing the game, means you won't get a good rank etc). They need to change how the emblems work. Forcing a safety or re-working the emblems to fit those in the match (it's been mentioned elsewhere several times over) etc. Something needs to change.
For all those annoyed with the add-ons they mentioned re-working it in the future. Wait and see I guess.

They are that way for a reason. If I recall, the Devs tried to change it once but the hatchet would go THROUGH the survivors cause of the Survivor hit box being pill shaped to help with you being able to loop easier.
Also, I agree with this. The amount of people encouraging DCs here is appalling. No one "Deserves" To depip cause of there add-ons. No one "Deserves" to depip or whatever cause you didn't want to play against it. Grow up. You think I DC every time Survivors bring BS? You Think I DC when i'm not winning? No, cause This is no place for Cowards. Play the game, and get better at it or DC and be a coward that never learns and will be punished for it.

I'm locking this because it's totally derailed from the original intent of the first post.
I will also advise everyone that we do still currently ban for DC'ing over the threshold - and the information that someone gave that we don't in this thread is untrue. We also will not accept the promotion of DCing on our forums, we don't promote it in game and we are not doing it here either.
