Ranking System: Killers
Prologue
It's pretty obvious, the ranking system is not fit for the killer at its current state, especially when you do way above average just to safety pip.
Therefore, my goal is to make the ranking system more fair for the killers, and actually make it a representation of skill. π€
Thresholds
Merciless Killer: +2 Rank Progress
Requires 100 Points
Ruthless Killer: +1 Rank Progress
Requires 75 Points
Brutal Killer: 0 Rank Progress
Requires 40 Points
Entity Displeased: -1 Rank Progress
Requires 25 Points
Disgraceful Defeat: -2 Rank Progress
You automatically get a Disgraceful Defeat when you don't meet the requirement for Entity Displeased at the end of the Trial
Point System
Primary Points
These are your main source of points for completing your primary objective.
You gain points when a survivor is sacrificed: +10 Points
You gain points when a survivor is killed by the killer: +10 Points
You gain points for each survivor you hook: +5 Points
You gain points when a survivor bleeds out to death: +5 Points
Bonus Points
These are your bonus points for completing actions closely related to your primary objective.
They are automatically added into your total amount of points if you're not in the red ranks.
You gain points when you hook all survivors: +10 Points
Before closing the hatch, you gain points for each generator the survivors needs to complete: +5 Points
You gain points every time a survivor stops performing an action (I.E Repairing, healing, cleansing, and so on) while within 32 meters (each survivor have a personal cool-down of 15 seconds): +1 Point
Epilogue
Overall, this should make the killer more skilled based while giving the killer other options to earns points that's not specifically related to sacrificing survivors π€

Sounds pretty fair to me. It looks better than dealing with an emblem system and might actually represent how well the killer did in achieving the goal which is to sacrifice survivors.

I like it, but I also like what others or I think it was BHVR themselves suggested for a new system. (I think, I don't remember if they suggested it.)
That suggestion was having for example... a Trapper main being ranked with other Trappers that're the same skill set... And if your skill set is top tier, than you'll be paired with Survivors that're of that same skill set.

I really like this. I've always thought that the Killer ranking should just be based on how many Survivors are killed. That's it. No matter how it's done.

I like this idea a lot. I think it would need expanded though as right now it kinda promotes tunnelling which is something they actively want to try and reduce.
So say you get 2.5 points for a hook that could be doubled by hooking a different survivor.
Sacrifice points could also be increased depending on how many hooks so camping isn't rewarded as much. 25 for a sacrifice and 5 points less each hook on the unhooked survivor within a set time frame or condition as to not punish the killer for finding them by pure luck.
If the survivor dc's or kills themselves on the hook they get the full 25 so it does not punish the killer for the survivors act and gives survivor more of an incentive to stay on the hook longer to not reward it.
I also think a similar system to reward survivors with points would work. For one example if a killer is camping and no one is around then a person doing gens gets rewarded with the altruism/benevolent points of a save/heal as you are helping the others get out. If the killer leaves the area or is in a chase with another survivor those points stop being rewarded for 15s even after the chase ends.
Over all it could work out very well with some tweaks and could make the game much better for skill based and fair play on both sides.

This does sound very good.

@twistedmonkey, I updated the thread to reflect your suggestions β please take a look if you don't mind! π€
Also, I don't think a system like this would be necessary for survivors because unlike the killer role, basing player skill on their primary goal doesn't exactly represent how well you do in a Trial.
For example: A sacrificed survivor could've did a lot more than a survivor who escaped.
Everyone else I tagged, I updated the thread! :P

Thank you for considering some of my suggestions π
It looks great I would love to see something like this implemented as it rewards good players and ranks them away quicker frim this less skilled.
Yeah survivors don't necessarily need a similar system. I just remembered all the complaints when the victory cube came out so I always think about keeping them as equal as possible lol.
I would like something so survivors get rewarded more for punishing camping but that's another discussion π.

Still sounds good to me :)

Just one suggestion - the killer should gain points for survivors who stop performing actions within a certain distance of the killer (say 32 metres) rather than within their terror radius. Otherwise stealth killers would be at a disadvantage.

Give it a few minutes for it to update π€π
