Thoughts on survivors hanging around in/around the exit gate at the end of the game?
this is more for killers to vent about, but personally, it's somewhat irritating when a group of survivors waste your time by swirling around and tea-bagging at the gates. especially after i've had a hard game and managed to lose. i want to be able to move on quickly and efficiently without having to force survivors out, or watching them/hearing them vault something over and over again, and overall just being excessive.
i'm not sensitive about it, but it always manages to pull a disappointed sigh from me because of how some survivors insist on rubbing their victories in your face. i can understand if some people purposefully sit in the gate to give you points, however, but you don't have to literally sit in there until the timer is at its last second. :(

I only do it for heal points or chase points to get that extra bit of boldness

i like booty, but not that kind of booty! D:
understandable. and in no way do i have a problem with that!

Once they escape, and are just BMing in the exit gates, just alt tab and do something else. That is what I do. And then in post game chat, tell them you were happy that you got to witness their first escape and leave the lobby. It REALLY pisses them off.

honestly that made me chuckle. oml
but unfortunately, as much as i'd like to leave a snarky remark, i love to keep a good nature among the community, and i don't want to be a sore loser. :'0

fair point! and it's unfortunate that some of these players will take the extra initiative to openly giggle about it post-game rather than showing good sportsmanship.
but! that's what adrenaline does to people sometimes, especially in a competitive game, and there's not much we can do except shake our heads and shrug it off with a smile. :'D

Is your username a coincidence or are you a Terry Funk fan?

Gloating how good they are, I‘d yesterday. They had a hard game against my Ghostface and only managed to get out because they had a key. They couldn‘t resist to call names. 2 gens to go and all were regressed to 0 and I was trash 😅
That‘s just Survivors being Survivors 🤪

It can either be to help your teammates out to create false pressure on the killer, or more commonly an immature opportunity to bm. Every once in a great while I catch a douche that misjudged the escape line, and they die. So keep it up survivors.

Its find it cheap and very lack luster. What about the guy who T bags you the entire game clicks the flashlight and is always the first one on the gate lmao on that one

i definitely feel you two.
but y'know. sometimes you get a little guilty pleasure out of their mistakes at bming. ;'D
agreed.

I ❤️ when that happens 😂😂😂

I only do it if I am trying to buy time or provide some sort of cover for teammates who haven't escaped yet, even if it's in the form of making the killer wonder "Should I go look for that other person who's still in the match?"
But if I'm trying to finish a daily or I think my safety is compromised, I'm not sticking around any longer than I have to.

I dunno I get loads of free kills from survivors who do this.
2 -
The only thing they do that annoys me with this is vaulting a window 874659837456 times to get Senpai Killer's attention. That's when I alt+tab and look at a wiki. Other than that, I normally wonder the map and break pallets as I ponder what I could have done better that match, to improve for next time.
2 -
If they're in the exit gate, I usually take the time to wander the map, break any missed pallets, and look for the hatch in case I can close it. I do wish that survivors would leave in a manner that lets me close the hatch more often; the last two usually leave too close together.
I do, however, love when a survivor sits in the exit gate until the last possible moment... and it turns out another survivor was waiting for the hatch. Greed can be costly. lol

Hmm? Oh I love looking at Wikis. I've read the DBD one a few times, the Metal Gear Solid one, the Warhammer and Warhammer 40k... um working on the JoJo one...
I use it to brain storm ideas for reworks too, like Legion. Was there something exact you were expecting?

I only do it to provide a body block, to get heal points, to go get a save or help the killer get a last hit or two if they are cool
1 -
Do what survivors do when they're not having fun.
2 -
please do not encourage DCs
2 -
not really necessary. like above, please do not encourage disconnections or unsportsmanlike conduct. that makes you look bad. :(

Heals , extra points, trying to figure out risks for going for a save, the timer runs out you don’t have to go over there if you’re just “done” with the match.

I mean, I play Frank all the time.... so why would I need to spy on her? :D

I once had a match as ghostface.
Got no kills and decided to give up and wait the hatch to close it.
All survivors were healed and at the gates and all died to the end game collapse because the timer was visually bugged.
They could have left at any time. They were waiting for nothing.

I tend to stare at them from inside the gate when i'm The GhOwOst Face, leaning on them.

.... Shut up. She's just a friend. I've told you that, Nurse. I don't see why you keep bringing it up when we get a moment to NOT chase those Survivors.
(We should prolly stop this XD)

If you don’t see my twerking skills before I leave then did I really win? Jokes aside, I usually just leave since I’m mostly a solo player.
1 -
cuz why not ? Killer letting you for 4 min on the ground just to slug for the 4k, it’s the same you make lose survivor time for nothing when they just want to get hook and go to next game
0 -
I don't mind, more often than not they let me hit them on the way out which is some free bonus points. If you have a daily that might be annoying to get at times if you have bad luck like the Ghostface one or the spirit phase one if you're not that great at her it can save you from needing another match to finish it too.
If for whatever reason someone doesn't want to go there they can just go get something to eat or drink and the survivors will be out by the time you get back thanks to EGC.
As survivor I tend to wait as well if I'm at the gate. I might be healing up to be ready to potentially bodyblock for someone or just offering up some free hits, but if the killer doesn't show themselves I tend to leave pretty quickly.
0 -
But it's not the same always. A survivor who can't make it to the gate, depending on hatch, dies a lot because literally every other survivor stands at the gate till the timer runs out.
Personally, I hate people standing at gate just to mess with killer. If you are not gonna be useful to others just leave and move on to the next game.

+400 escape +250 distraction ;)

It's funny until they realize the exit is blocked and I have NOED
0 -
I don’t really care because from playing survivor sometimes you want to wait for another person and make sure they made it out ok, or as others have said heal points.

This had been bothering me more and more as I rank up and get harder survivors who are escaping more. I have suggestions in this thread .
