Your first game experiences
If you can remember, what was your first match in this game like?
For me, I remember I was playing Ace on Haddonfield, and the killer was either Myers, Wraith, or Trapper. I was constantly paranoid, and had no knowledge of scratch marks, pallets, fast actions, or even doing generators.

My first game was against hag, second against mayers and third against freddy. In first two games i was like where am i, what is that heart beat and hugging trees or bushes on every corner. Third was in the swamp against freddy and i was scared so much that 90% game i spent in the grass looking into invisible freddy moving around(back then i didn't even knew that was freddy and pallets was there for cosmetics xD) Now it's all about bp and loops :P

I was playing Huntress versus a pretty well organized team. I didnt get any kills but I did manage to avoid getting blinded by a flashlight!
They were pretty good sports after the game too, wishing me luck and all that.

It wasn't my first game for sure, but the first one I remember was against Myers on Autohaven. I had watched a lot of streams before buying the game so I knew how almost every killer worked. I didn't know maps tho, so when I saw him stalking me I literally run into dead end. He activated EW III and downed me, I was terrified.
As a killer, my first game was as Huntress on Temple of Purgation. I downed maybe two people and genuinely had problem to track scratch marks. Everyone escaped, but they were really nice - when I said it was my first match they said I did great and wished me luck. Unfourtunately, that match made me afraid of playing her at all so I played her only twice in almost 400 hours and probably won't play ever again since I'm at high ranks.

Haha similar to @kosmi. My first survivor match was on the swamp level. Crouchwalking on the edge of the map, just being so rank 20 (I'm still pretty bad). I remember my gf saying: "Uhh.. i think you're supposed to be moving quicker". "Nah, this is how it's done." I said. Oy
My first killer 'main' was huntress. I took huntress to lv.35 or so, while not understanding what the point of leveling a character was. Pretty sure I used bitter murmur and beast of prey every match.
I would proximity camp the 1st hook because I didn''t want them to get away!! (This strat actually still totally works at R20.)
I remember once seeing the word "kill" on a downed survivor as I picked them up. I was convinced I imagined it for weeks.
I also played killer for at least 4 months, before I realized I could kick generators.

I don't remember exactly my first match (it was 3 years ago) but I remember beartraps. A lot of beartraps, all under the hooks.

i was a baby claudette on Haddonfield. Probably hid for around 30 mins after everyone died looking for hatch, thinking back on it i feel very bad for that huntress LOL

First match as killer was the wraith I failed horribly managed to hook one survivor one time, I don't think I've played Wraith since.
First game as survivor I was Nea I didn't survive but that's when you learn hard about skill checks.

Oh man, this takes me back. It was against a Huntress at... I wanna say shelter woods, and I was playing as Claudette, and I think I had brought we'll make it and empathy for my perks. I like to think i did pretty good for my first time, I ran to get unhooks when my teammates would just run off as soon as they heard the terror radius, I managed to get two generators by myself, but eventually the Huntress picked us off one by one when my teammates bumrushed the hooks so I died when she eventually happened to find me at a generator.

I remember my 1st game was Hillbilly on Haddonfield. I think I got a 3K, maybe 4. I didn’t know you could lunge so I loved him for that Chainsaw Sprint Lol. My 1st Survivor game I think was The Wretched Shop, somehow I was the last person alive still died though lol I gave him a surprisingly good run on the Crane. I think the Killer was the Wraith…

Baby Meg on sheltered woods. I walked about and hising at times trying to configure my mouse sensitivity.
I had watched a few streamers play so I knew the basics of the game but nothing prepared me for hearing the heartbeat in my headphones for the first time. Instant oh ######### moment and when I saw it was the trapper.
Back then when caught by him it was normally game over as they could trap under the hook. I ran straight into a wall and took a hit. Tried to run and went straight into a trend downed.
That was my first experience and I was literally hooked. It was so different from the normal PVP games I was used too which were for the most part fps games and since call of duty 2 or left 4 dead series with Wow for a time I never found anything I played for more than a couple of weeks before getting bored until I found this game.

I watched videos before I bought the game, but I was still soooo terrified during my first trials. I know that I played Claudette for having Self Care and thought it was best to stay close to the edge of the map. I do not remember which map or killer it was, although I think it was Trapper.
I played Huntress for my first killer trial, because I loved her Russian theme. I know that I thought that she had only 5 hatchets for the whole game until I realised, you could reload at a locker. I always did the M1 hit first and then M2 on longer distance. That only worked because they ran in straight lines XD.
My first Trapper match was on McMillan, and it was the last for a long time. I did not get any kills, but one or two hooks. My Traps were right in the open at random locations. And no one got trapped. I thought that day, that I do not have the mind set for any traps. So I did not play Trapper nor Hag. Only later I would play him again for a daily.

Everything was different. The game was actually scary to me because I started as survivor and idk, it was different

Kind of the same, but more scared and paranoid. The reason why is because i watched youtubers play this so i had an idea how to play. However, the atmosphere was more scary.

I actually crawled out the hatch on my very first game in Oct 2016.
I did not realize how rare that is until later.

December 2017
My first character that I played was dwight without perks, I was so scared to find the killer that I just stood still at that moment, I loved the coldwind farm, according to me in 2017 it was a "good map". and how killer ... My character that I chose was the trapper, I lost the survivors very fast, I didn't kick gens, I got caught in my traps by myself, and when there was a toxic nea / claudette p3 I usually wanted to disconnect but I didn't.🎃
