hatch standoff = survivor wth????
before whenever the killer and survivor were at the hatch, the killer would always win, now, killer close the hatch, and survivor still jumps into it, wth is this????? latency or so called "balance" from the devs? hatch standoff were supposed to be gone and killer would always win it now, WHICH IS HOW IT SHOULD BE SINCE I GOT ALL 3 AND WE ARE BOTH ON IT!
idk if it's latency, i hope it is, but god it MUST be fixed, this is absolutely bs to see myself close the hatch and see them jump and go through a metal sheet door

I had that happen too lol, but the guy told me he had a key. I close the hatch and hit him before he even gets to the hatch and he jumps through it. Weird thing though is at the time I had noed, so I feel like after closing the hatch it should've one shot him but oh well

It's just latency.
Withtout DedServers Killer is the host, so you have a huge advantage.
With servers you aren't the host just like the survivor, so you're both on equal footing. It then comes down to whose ping is better.

well what if my ping is 48-52 and they are the same, it will just happen over and over again, which is really bullshit

Tried this a lot. It's the dedicated servers that does this. So hatch stand-off is back to the survivors advantage.

It's latency as stated and it works both ways. Sometimes a survivor can be half way through the jumping animation and a killer closes it before it finishes.
Both having the exact same ping at the exact moment would mean it would in theory close first but that would take the stars to align just right as pings in game fluctuate constantly.

that really sucks....

Why does it suck? It just makes things fair.

It comes down to whoever lives closer to the dedicated server now.

fair? bullshit you mean, killer should always win if they are together, i am on the hatch, you are, hell no you aren't jumping in, logic, and make sense, it's not fair, it's broken mechanics

You're just saying that from a killer point of view.
I've been first to hatch many times, killer walks up and closes it just as I jump in. Don't be so obviously biased, it's unsightly.
