DC's should punish the player who dc'ed and cause Endgame Collapse

i feel a disconnect should cause endgame collapse, but also make it to where all other players, that didn't dc, should keep the item they came in with or the item they found if its different from the one they came in with, along with all add-ons and offerings on both sides, then punish the one who dc'ed with a wait time before next match (that starts after the match they dc'ed from is complete), and a reduce in BP and XP earned for a certain amount of your next games; kind of like Overwatch's system, but more strict. This would make people less annoyed by DC's and help with players who just want to get to the next game do so without fear of losing their items and feeling their offerings (and add-ons for killers) were wasted. this would fix one of the major flaws in this game, the new punishment system for dc's just isn't good enough. also, the leave game button should give two big red signs that say something like, "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO LEAVE THIS MATCH? YOU WILL BE PENALIZED WITH A WAIT TIME, AND HAVE A REDUCTION IN BP AND XP EARNED IN THE NEXT, however many, GAMES" being the first sign and the next being "ARE YOU REALLY SURE?" which will also stop some people from rage quitting due to being mad and not realizing the consequences they will get for leaving. Closing the game client, on PC or Console for any reason would still result in this for any reason. If you rarely leave game clients then don't sweat it, play a different game until the time is up and take the time penalty, its a small price to pay for something that is super annoying to deal with, to be easier to deal with.

Edit 2: Even if the whole End game collapse and keeping items, add-ons, offerings didn't come. ITS TIME TO DEMAND PUNISHMENT FOR DC'ING PLAYERS, the specifics don't matter as long as dc'ing players don't start getting meaningful punishments. I dc from at least one game once a week from rage, and if i knew i had actual punishment i would suck it up and just die to a mori instead of dc'ing thinking, "yeah this will teach him!"

    I think this would make DC's more annoying IMO. Starting the EGC within 2 minutes of the game starting is awful. NOED would ruin the game if the killer is running it.

    If someone DC's, all remaining players in the match should get BP and get a BP bonus to their categories for the remainder of the round to make up for the lost BP of the person who DC'd. The person who DC's should get a soft ban of like 5 minutes after DCing.

    I do agree with the warning that the Exit Game button should tell you if you try to leave.

    but if the killer ran noed and killed everyone it wouldn't matter because you keep your items, add-ons, and offerings

    I'd hate to load into a match and have 1 player in an SWF 'Take the DC' so his 3 friends can beeline to the gates, open, and leave before I've even found anyone.

    The game is already rife with SWF friends who 'take the DC' when they are the Obsession, thereby negating almost any Obsession perk the Killer has.

    EVERYONE also remember that the amount of DC's would go down to barely any in a month due to people realizing they cant dc all willy nilly without any real consequences

    Or we... ya know. Focus on fixing the issues that make most people DCi n the first place. Instadown addons and the like. Don;'t say know. You got insta-heals nerfed for no reason, time to suffer the balance stick against yourself now too.

    It's never fun to lose your equipment like that, sure.

    But to me, equipment-loss isn't my biggest problem with DCs, it's the time you lost finding a match, BPs you could've earned & experiences that could've been fun.

    Great if they could secure all equipment if a Killer DCs, and would be cool to have the game secure a piece of equipment per disconnected Survivor.

    Why not just treat it as a normal pre-spawned match where if a player DC's match gets cancelled. I wouldn't mind if the match was cancelled (even if it was in the middle of a match) after a DC provided the team got their points accordingly and that they have done less than 50% of their objective.

    i mean this could work, but randomly getting the match ending would be obstruct in my opinion and having it cause EGC would at least add some sort of ending to the match instead of just flat out ending it, causing confusion to why it was canceled at first.

    Having been in many matches where a person DC'd before we could even get a gen done sets the tone for me.

    If a gen hasn't been completed and someone DC's I think the match should cancel.

    If At least 2 gens were completed I think the match should not cancel.

    Same as I feel if a person DC's the hatch should not open for the last person. This is not considered a "kill".

    Im not going to upvote this thread for the fact that The DC epidemic came about due to End Game Collapse (ECG). Since ECG has come into Fruition. Players are flat-out frustrated. Its common for gates spawning too close together. Bad survivor teams being made. and the hatch was the last bastion of Freedom to this game's design.

    I mean sure, nobody likes a hatch camper. Because they wont do generators. But because ECG is here. Survivors just DC and skip the gates. Its a defeat either way.

    Until they revert to 1.0 ECG or use ofa giant tower of LIGHT that pours out of the hatch. I highly doubt players are going to care how long their DC punishment is. Even then. if they are REQUIRED to play the game. They will simply THROW the game. So they can get rid of their point punishment quickly.
