Never played that. But I am curious now.

This game definitely tops it from my current experiences with games.

I've played many games with communities that are faaaaaaaaaar worse than this one.

Quite literally DBD is one of the MOST toxic gaming communities ever. It's ######### horrible, everyone is horrible to each other.

If you play Dota 2 and pick a hero someone hates you will get told you commit suicide and an onslaught of bad words. Just picking someone’s bad hero will set that person off. You could just mute that guy put it still persists that Dota 2 has extreme amounts of toxicity.

If I were to sit here and tell you every single toxic thing that could happen just by playing Dota 2, you’d end up with a novel. Lmao

One of the worst, based upon my own experience.

Rainbow Six, LoL, even Overwatch is worse than DbD.

People are usually just blowing steam off, I see this in every online game.

I remember people joining my team, jumping down a building and dying, then leaving. Such fun times. The voting system is heavily abused in that game, people just vote to kick you out the moment you make one mistake. Imagine if people could do that in dbd.

    Far from it.

Have you tried DS yet? Probably not.

Oh boy you haven’t been gaming long if you think this is toxic.

Overall I have a good experience except the times when the killer is super salty or my teammates reply to my hi in the pre game chat with Go F£&K yourself

I play central eu but often connect to Russians. I don't have anything against them but they seem to be the most toxic players

This IS toxic, just not in the traditional way.

let me explain, when you think toxic, you think of trash talking, death threats, suicide threats, trolling, and ddos-ing

Dbd has trash talking, some death threats here and there, very little suicide threats and thats it. So what makes it so bad? Everything that isn’t dbd but dbd related (dbd content on YouTube, mostly.) Constantly on every youtube video about dbd people get into arguments ( and talk a lot of ######### ) about everything, whether nurse nerf is justified, what perks are good, killer is easy mode, killers need nerfs, this perk needs a nerf, this killer is bad, etc. If you don’t believe me, I DARE you to go on any dbd yt video and find ONE comment that hasn’t sparked an argument thread where one person curses the other out.

Hmm that’s more people passionate about the game and debating the hot topics on it.

Obviously they could be a little more civil about it but I don’t consider that toxicity.

DBD is nowhere near the worst. Sure, it's bad, but toxicity is a people problem, not a game problem, so you will inevitably get bad eggs in any moderately successful game. Toxicity seems to be proportional to playerbase in my experience - if you play any hugely successful online games for a while, like League, DOTA, Overwatch, Rainbow Six, you'll see it there as well, and in much greater numbers.

Um... DBD isn't the worst. That honor would go to the ones mentioned above, not to mention the Undertale community, which sends suicide threats to those who don't play the game a certain way.

They even do that to Youtubers.

    It's pretty terrible at times.

And i was getting tired of messages, so i made my profile private.

But this is nothing compared to my time in League of Legends.

At least there are some nice people in dbd. Some of the other games people have mentioned, you're basically playing with drill sergeants 99% of the time and being a noob is pretty much illegal

League of legends and Overwatch are far worse for me

6 seige is way worse. Voice coms in game. Gamer grills beware you will be targeted to so much abuse and weirdness on that game. There are lots of alright people playing seige but the oddballs do come from all over quite frequently.

Dbd is only bad community because of the toxic end game chat which is only made toxic because people like playing the Blame game and not taking responsibility for their poor choices.

I've had pretty bad experience with Smite. Smite has an In-Game chat and they aren't afraid to use it.

coh2 was pretty bad. it was like the players were actually fighting in WW2. also had a massive amount of wehraboos (obsessive axis fanboy) who role played their idols in game :) dbd has a lot of childish behavior but i take it any day compared to that

I see this kind of thread coming up on every game forum:

I have played a variety of "competitive games" at a decent level and in my opinion there are games that are much much worse. LoL to mention one of them. Toxic scenarios happen every time in every game consistently. I get whispered on eso that "I am a ######### cheater or should get a life" cause, well, I dont even know what I did in a battleground to get so much hate lmao.
