They shouldn't scrap it. I'll take all the extra bloodpoints I can get. Yeah, a Halloween-themed event after Halloween will be weird and out of place, but I'm not about to trade bonus BPs for atmosphere.

F13 did the same mistake by give a release date for a second game mode which was call paranoia. This game mode never released because of the lawsuit even if it was announced even before. That was very unprofessional but they learned from it, BHVR don't seem to learn from it.
Sure we all understand that sometime there is mistakes we are humans after all. PTB is the pure concept that devs don't listen to the right feedbacks. This as been proven countless and now he proved once again.
Now here my advice for devs even if they will ever not listen or read. Do not release date in before you are 100% sure, This only lead to negative reviews and make a community angry. The community have the right to be angry. why ? Because in the end the game will be even more buggiest than now.
Since a few patches i got huge drops frame , sensitivity still slow and do not forget that 60 FPS and dedicated servers was supposed to come with the last update (Stranger Things)(Console BTW).

They said the event was tied to the rift, and then said they were moving the event to the same time as the rift/update as if it wasn't already tied to it. If it wasn't tied to the rift they could have released it before Halloween.
They tried to do too much in one go. It should have been: Release the event, then the rift, then the Unreal Engine update, then fix the framerate and sound that will inevitably be broken because of the Unreal Engine update.

Paranoia didn't release because they couldn't make it work. They released a statement months before the final shutdown of content that they teased it early but never got anything fun out of it.
I mean your point remains, bhvr should either get their dev cycle ######### together or stop promising dates. How are those summer 2019 dedicated servers?

If they have time. By their work ethic i won't hold much hope for it, they already have "such" a busy week as it is, hosting a 30 minute Q and A stream and a twitch rivals event in the same week!

as so many stated here, i don't understand the need to merge the event with the archives. It was so much fun to collect the serums through the plants/ hook survivors on special hooks, to eventually buy the desired item in the shop.
Now: just a hidden bloodhunt (boring) and the serums that open up by doing dailies tru the archives. ... again Boring.
