Really? And you complain? New content release thoughts
The devs literally said we needed to wait cause the new content wasn't ready...
Almost everyone: "You devs better release this tomorrow and/or before halloween, this is a halloween event!"
Devs: But it still isn't ready, we'll let you know when it releases with the minimum bugs possible, "we'll give you an update on the state of the content early next week"
Almost everyone "NO! WE WANT IT ASAP!"
*Devs release new content the next day with lots of bugs
Almost everyone: "This is completely bugged! WTH is this?!"
Me:
EDIT: I really believe the halloween event should've been released without all of the other stuff and that's it, well, if you actually wanted something added to the game, but ok...

Maybe the devs shouldn't have tied the crappy battlepass to the Halloween event then hmm?
18 -
I mean, what else should people do when something is released with lots of bugs?
7 -
i love doublestandarts ^^
1 -
I know! It would've been better! Only the event with no new content and that's it!
2 -
Wait for it to release when it's ready?
1 -
Report the bugs, every game gets them each update.

So true, why bring everything down when you know that the archives are gonna break the game?
4 -
I hit the middle red dot with my doublestandart
2 -
I believe it's cause people asked for it both in forums and Twitter and they were being somehow toxic about it

Sounds like we're in a bad state for gaming, then. :P
1 -
I’ve worked on a game in the past and bugs are often out of your control, then you gotta fix them but more come.
1 -
Bugs are a natural part of game design, but "lots of bugs" as the OP put it?
1 -
Yes, a lot of ‘em. Most go un-noticed for awhile.
1 -
Well, as I said. It's a pretty sad state for gaming to be in. :P

I agree, but sometimes patches just never feel tested, patch 3.0.0 is a great example. over 10 perks were bugged/broken and no one on the dev team caught it.
1 -
What? You think this is new? Remember they were thought as "cheats" in N64 or PS1? Remember the tutorials to "get out of the map"? This is NOT new
0 -
Honestly at this point I'm just done with all these people complaining as I completely agree with what you said, like if you want it exactly how you want it then go and program the game? See how easy it is for you to do it
2 -
I just can't stand it, I get mad cause they delayed the content, but I'm able to wait the time necessary for it to be "ready", but this kind of things just get on my nerves, have you seen the amount of posts complaining about the new content being released when it wasn't ready and the devs said so? LOL
3 -
Completely agree lol
1 -
the bluryness graphics is back again after the egine update. good job
1 -
They said the update WASN'T ready and about the release date of it, I quote "we'll give you an update on the state of the content early next week"
*Proceeds to release content next day cause the community is demanding it

There is a difference between deliberately trying go out of your way to force bugs and just randomly bumping into them update after update, no?
0 -
Just think of this, this game updates OBVIOUSLY come with bugs, lots of them, now, what would you think about an update the Devs said wasn't ready? It's gonna come with hell lots of more bugs.
I get you, don't missunderstand me, I do support BHVR but I know this is a game with serious bugs in each new update, but this one was pretty much obvious that if it was released when the devs said it wasn't ready (based on the fact that when they are ready they do have bugs) it would come out OMEGA BUGGED wouldn't it?

No one made them release. If they bent to pressure and released it broken anyway then its double their fault. Might as well have not delayed it then.
Incompetence or cowardice. Neither is a good look.

*Son's birthday
Mom: Son, you can't have the cookie, it's still raw
Kid: But I want it!
Mom: If you eat the cookie you'll get a stomach ache
Kid: I don't care! I want my cookie! It's my birthday!
Mom: You have to wait, it's still raw...
Kid: I don't care, I want to eat it now!
Dad: Just give it to him
Mom: Don't say I didn't tell you it would harm you son, you can have the cookie, but it's not cooked as it should (mom's brain "I hope he's gonna learn from this")
*Kid eats it, get's stomach ache
Kid: It's your fault mom! My belly hurts because of you! How dare you give me a raw cookie knowing it was raw?! Don't you love me? I'm your son!
Dad: Either you're Incompetent for giving him a raw cookie or a coward for giving him the raw cookie when you said at first it wasn't ready!
Mom:

I was happy that the devs said they were pushing back the update to polish it up. If the update is still coming out with bugs, that's entirely on them.
1 -
Bethesda: We ask that you kindly call them "Features" please.

Lets face the reality here, the update WAS and upcomming updates ARE gonna come with bugs even when delayed, but delayed updates are delayed cause they have EVEN MORE BUGS.
It was a hard decision, to make Halloween was off date and it was a promissed update, I think they are gonna learn from this, but I hope gamers will too.
If the update ain't ready it shouldn't be released, if the update ain't ready gamers shouldn't put pressure for it to be released in it's current state. I don't know, for me, both sides were wrong

Skyrim always holds a special place in my heart.
1 -
OMG! I got the bug where you just couldn't progress in the story and I already was at half the story without saved games that could get me not far from where I was! I literally had to restart the full game! Skyrim was amazing though, worth the restart, you could even find tutorials on how to fix bugs and glitches on youtube, LOL

So a more appropriate analogy would be that a mom promised me a cake for my birthday, but decided to also add a new chore wheel dynamic to the cake. But then they didn't have it ready for my birthday, because they actually split the cake up and the frosting is only available by completing chores on the chore wheel. Oh and they used really ######### ingredients in the cake.
People complained they wouldn't get cake for their birthday, and also that the cake wasn't a birthday thing, its a chore wheel thing.
Then they give us the cake anyway after we're upset, but didn't take out the bad ingredients or separate it from the chore wheel.
So in this case its the kids fault the mom planned very very very poorly and then when they received pressure caved and poisoned their kid? No one said they should give it to us broken, we're pissed they backef themselves into a corner with poor planning.
Its a nice little strawman you've built though.

I got a bug once that didn’t let you progress through the Mirak quest line, I once stayed up all night because I wanted to see how fast I could clear it, took me 17 hours.😂
I downloaded the unofficial patch mod to lessen the bugs, I don’t crash much anymore and buildings are never invisible now. :)

I mean, yeah, the gamers should understand that devs are not infallible and do need to make tough choices, but I'm not going to weigh both sides equally personally.
1 -
You do know that they literally promissed a joint release of content right? You do know they said BOTH content would be released at the same time right? Not keeping their word in terms of content is something AWFULLY CRITIZICED by the gaming community, way more than bugged content (have skyrim as an example, a best seller game with the most amazing quantity of bugs and glitches ever). Don't get me wrong, they sucumbed to the communitie's demands in terms of time and that is a mistake, but they already have lots of weight on their back with the "pretty good job" meme. How about you add a "Halloween event in christmas" meme to that?
I'm not saying they don't have blame in this, I'm saying it's ALSO the communitie's fault.
This game has so much to offer, but you have to admit the toxicity of it's gamers is way to high and it affects the devs response, just look at the "You should have more self respect bud" message you just sent me kid... And which you just edited... This is something that influences decision making, and a hell lot...

To be fair this is like the Warframe issue, when they've released stuff too early, it's ended up being buggy, but when they said they'll take their time on something everyone complains. It's either have patience and wait, or go somewhere else. If you want a good game you wait instead of being a bunch of narcissistic pricks who think the world functions on their time. Unfortunately the gaming community as a near whole are completely rude.

Yeah, but some are just silly. Like that time when Sprint Burst exploit was a thing. They fixed Sprint Burst but you could tell they didn't test any other exhaustion perks. Others got problems shortly after that and surprise, we had to have a fix to Dead Hard as well. You'd naturally think "Oh, I just messed with Exhaustion, maybe I should go check the other Exhaustion perks", not "Well, Sprint Burst is fixed, time to ship the changes!".

I just gotta say...who gets a stomach ache from cookie dough unless it's been sitting out or is old? I eat cookie dough all the time...that's a really silly example.
1 -
If you put it that way, the kid might need medical assistance depending who bad it the ache. And taking into consideration the health of the kid, the doctors might call child servises for bad treatment from the mother. And to keep the analogy you made the kid would have a history of stomach achea from being fed mostly udercooked or mildly rotten food(aka game breaking bugs).

I couldnt agree with the OP more. People need to either be patient and wait, or shut the hell up when its not ready for the public and gets forced out. The people who complain the loudest are those who dont have any idea what goes into making a game. Patience is a virtue people..

I'm just deleting this post, I'm pretty sure i misread your post so its mostly irrelevant. We can agree to disagree.

Not complaining, experience's been great so far!
I've longed for new challenges for a while now, an easy task per day just wasn't enough.
Now i already notice myself playing longer without losing interest, though i'm done for today. 😋

Apart from maybe reworking some of the challenges and keeping the cooldown nerf on the nurse i don't really have any complaints so far. Not gonna lie i was a little shocked by seeing them in the game but i'm mostly over it.
