Why is it so hard for players not to dc?

There are alternative ways instead of dc, as a killeer main u can just wait for them to do all the gens amd open the door for them while u get some bonuses of chasing so u don't leave empty handed

As a surv u can easily just keep doing gens and saving people and if u really wanna quit then once u get caught just die on the hook cuz u helped u team with gens and saved some people before u gave up on the hook

So why do people keep DCing and ruining the game? And blaming that (this game is broken and if they fix it then we won't dc) no it's cuz u just might not be as good as u think so u might need to learn some techniques or watch Monto, NoOb3, Ohm even if he doesn't main dbd he still wins his game, and my favorite Farmer John,

Watch there mindgames amd watch how they loop killers if you can't learn yourself,

I learned from NoOb3 and Farmer John to play as killers when I was really struggling with the purple ranks now I can make it to the red ranks

Stop giving up and try to learn from your mistakes it benefits both the killers and survs

People DC because they have their heads up their bums & assume only their fun matters, so screw everyone else, they're gonna leave no matter what.

Sportsmanship is dead, long live selfish a-holes.

How adorable: DCing Survivors think they're dominant.

Unfortunately your right just don't see why you'd rather dc than get some bloodpoints before giving up on the hook

Counter question: Why should someone stay in a game that isn't going to be fun for them when they can just quickly jump into the next game, that could actually be fun?

Wasn't no0b3 the one recommending people to DC against Legion?

the mindset of a toxic survivor in a nutshell. this might surprise you but its very selfish, but i guess you dont care anyways...

Because you're basically ruining the match for possibly 4 other people?

literally just had a game where the survivor DCed. then stayed in chat the whole time just to be toxic. you literally just F'd your team cause you got caught THEN proceeded to spectate the ENTIRE GAME to watch them all die.

    Ok tell me one thing

Why should I not just Mori every player I find, tunnel them nod my head violently up and down when I down them, facecamp and slug everyone?

Well it's called sportsmanship don't be a toxic surv to everyone in the lobby and grow some courage and stay in the lobby and just let the killer hook u so we all go on to the next match with some bt

    I dc'd again today.

    Rank 4

    Demogorgon with little experience

    The Game

4 gens done in 2:45 when I finally found and hit the first survivor.

    Definitely tilted.

Separate killer ranks is really needed in my opinion. I get to red ranks with killers I'm good with and can't play or practice with other killers. The built in frustrations that are supposed to be created by the game are at a level that drives people to not play.

Also, demo needs some sfx tuned down.

Mostly because of bad connection. I can’t play against all that lag

I can understand if ur trying a new killer out in the red ranks and u dc but DCing in a match just ruins people's fun when I play survs half the damn killers dc on my butt, so I tend to main killers, if I don't like the match or I'm getting destroyed then ok do all the gens I'll open the door for u so u can get out, if they proceed to t-bag me I'll chase them out by force or they will be downed and hooked

Also I understand the frustration I got the red ranks and it sucks not being able to play wat u want cuz u would be destroyed if u play anyone else

Because it's easy to do and you receive no punishment for it. If you do it early enough, there's really no downside, aside from never becoming a man

Often it's always for a pathetic, or a petty reason - some sad excuse for why they do what they do, when the reality is much sillier. Do you know how many times I got a BS hit through a window from a killer, and I didn't disconnect? Yeah. Because unlike a lot of people, some of us aren't like that, nor do we sit around and defend it by making up excuses, so we can sit here and say "There should be no punishment because x good reason, even though there's 20 bad ones! What if my house is on fire!"

If you defend punishments for disconnecting, you're most likely part of the problem and you like it that way.

It was the 3rd match I was rushed on as demo. I was done at that point.

The game isn't healthy for many reasons and the devs/mods just chime in with PR bias about the situations regardless of the discussion being made.

  • PiedPiper365
    PiedPiper365 Member Posts: 231

Yes I have yet to meet one that gave me a good excuse they either say cuz I'm trash at the game and they don't wanna play when in reality I was destroying them and they can't admit it, they then proceed to tell me how to play

I love the demo I got him to p1 but after that I was forced to go back to my Billy cuz of the red ranks,

And I agree with u there the Devs/Mods are bias but with that being said getting anything done bout is and will be very difficult

Need better rewards. No incentive for players to stay in games most of the time if they aren't enjoying it

With that being said DCing ruins it for all players in the match, instead of trying to atleast help a tad bit and once u get caught die atleast u helped out a bit of bt out of it than getting none

In a game where people are solo queuing and don't know anyone else in the lobby, it's unreasonable to assume that people are going to make themselves miserable just so strangers can have a more fun experience. Sure, it would be the nice and respectful thing to do. But it's not reasonable to expect players to do that. They need to give people incentives for staying in games when they would otherwise not get many BPs or a pip. I like the battle pass for that reason. Gives me a reason to play out every game. I thought devotion and account leveling was going to do that but they made devotion entirely worthless and meaningless. It has no rewards (aside from the currency that was already present. They just changed how you got it) and you can't even display it in game or post game. It was a massively missed chance to make an interesting progression system. Behavior just needs to find a way to keep people in game with decent enough rewards without going heavy handed with punishments

Pre rework, and Legion was a problem, so it's understandable.

True, I see man streamers who immediately press escape and click "leave match" when bullshit happens. But then they realize they shouldn't and then decicde to stay. It really is a reflex for some people.

That still gives no excuse to DC, as you could still beat a legion in that condition. Also he DCed immediately when he saw a legion in a match meaning that he didn't even get a chance to test the match out.

Its because theres no penalty first of all. They get to keep their stuff but killers lose theirs. 2nd They're a bunch of entitled brats, snowflakes who can't handle defeat. They have ZERO sportsmanship. And 100% entitlement. Ive posted on it numerous times. I only play as killer, on ps4 and it is constant. The higher rank you go up, the more they do it. They dc if they dont like your killer or perks, or the map. They DC as soon as you down them. Ive had them DC When I kicked hatch shut. They'd rather rage quit like a punk than lose. Ive had very skilled higher ranked than me survivors that were very hard to catch, as soon as i down them = DC. Play a mori? Watch the whole group dC, play a shroud of seperation & they think its a mori & DC. Its gonna be really hard to get last killer rift challenge done. kill all 4 survivors. They should add a survivor challenge to go 10 matches without DC'ing. Its ridiculous and its been happening for years.

I just want to point out that DC topics get a lot of views and replies because it's a serious issue that ruins the game for others. The only time it's okay to DC is someone is cheating, game is held hostage with exploits or if you have a real world problem. If you think it's going to be "unfun" to play, why play a game where the unknown will happen? You're not supposed to know the killer or their build or you could easily counter them. Just because you expect a hard match does not give you the right to make it virtually impossible for everyone else or to cut the match short because you couldn't catch anyone. Have some respect for your fellow gamers.

Probably cause both sides can deny the other side enjoyment rather easily. Survivors are more likely to DC cause there is more of them per a match and also cause the Killer has more freedom in deciding to give a Survivor a middle finger. (Camp, Tunnel, Mori, Prayer Beads, Omega Blinks, IH Hatchets, 3 Gen Doc/Game Doc) Survivors don't really have anything to that forces the Killer to sit and stare at themselves on a hook for 95% of their game play.

Maybe remove the "leave game" option would help for starters.

DC happens on both sides, and it should be punished equally hard

Ps4 players just close app. No stopping that. They should get banned. I never quit. No matter what. You cant win every time. Camping and tunneling arent legit reasons. They arent against rules. Just the fictional fantasy rules survivors tried to invent, to their benefit. Theres no option to report for camping or tunneling is there? No. But its there for rage quitting.
