Events Need A Rework
So everyone in the community agrees that Events bring out the worst in a large group of the playerbase and that only happens because of the way the Events are created.
CURRENT EVENTS---1 special Gen and 1 Special hook spawn by default, an Offering will increase these by 1 each.
This means that if no one brings in an offering there is only 1 Gen and if you as the Survivor are unable to complete that Gen because someone else does it then you get points because it was still completed, that's awesome 😀 Thanks BHVR
This means that if no one brings an offering there is only 1 Event Hook and if every Survivor runs to the furthest corner of the map so you can't reach it or the Hook gets Saboed then you can't get any points from it at all period. You cannot participate in the Event because you are not allowed. This will happen regardless if someone put up an offering or not actually.
Survivors don't have any trouble in this Event but Killers struggle because of the current design, it is unfair for one side it is 100% beneficial to play Survivor instead, and then the lobby times take longer as a side effect.
MY EVENT CHANGE---All Hooks and Gens are decorated with the current theme be it Halloween or not. If you hook someone or complete a Gen you get bonus points. Every Offering that is used will increase the bloodpoint multiplier that you get when completing a Gen or hooking/killing a Survivor. As Survivor you still get points for someone else completing a Gen IF you use an Offering, if you don't use an Offering you will not get Bonus points when someone else completes a Gen.
This is fair for everyone, this means every Gen and Hook is decorated with beautiful and seasonal decorations and this means that everyone gets to have fun no matter who you play.

I just wish the offerings spawned 2 that way you only have to use 2 to have 5 cankerous gens

Or every Gen can just be a Halloween Gen and offerings can give you extra points.

I kinda miss the oozing plants. I wish they just reworked how collecting vials worked rather than completely remove them.

Those were so cool, I loved those things. They oozed and hissed, the squelching noises, it really made the map look like it was alive and made the event feel special.

While i do like the idea of more BPs or Events being reworked. Its laughably the last thing I see them doing.

So keep events as IS, BUT make the special hook(s)or gen(s) only visible to each respective side. So toxic players can still be toxic but also run the risk of wasting their own time because they cant just target a specific hook or gen from the get go.. (I agree killers do struggle harder than survivors when it comes to their special Gen objective but theres toxic killers too)
And a by product of changing events to be this way would be the mind game aspect of it. Survivors focusing on this gen? Is this the BP gen?
Killers always carrying to this area? Is the hook one of these?
See everyone wins. People can enjoy the event. Toxic people can choose to still be Toxic just wont be ideal unless they really rather just waste their own time.

Am I crazy for thinking Killers should get points if an event gen is done (if they put down an offering) and survivors should get points if the killer uses an event hook (again, assuming they put down the offering)?
I know they are competing against each other but man it is so much easier to get the extra BP as survivor since even if you don't do anything as long as you put down the offering you get the gen extra BP. As killer you have to do it all yourself!
I don't think anyone would complain if both sides got more BP.

It would def be healthier and make everyone happy. Right now I'm getting 10 minute lobby times as a Survivor because of this bs.

Lobbies are slow in general, but I can see why Killers have to sweat so hard in events. It's the only way to get stuff done.
However, since this event is only for BP and not the putrid serum, I barely think it's worth trying to get the event gens or hooks specifically.
