I had a round as Legion, where I hooked someone in the basement in the shack. I went up immediately and, no joke, all other three teammates were running around the shack like headless chickens. In the end, I hooked them all in the basement. They all stayed there, while I hooked one after another. I didn't even slug. I never camp, they served themself on a silver plate to me. Literally all three of them.

If the killer is camping you're in fact supposed to let the teammate die and rush gens as quickly as possible as this allows the rest of the team to escape in most cases ultimately punishing the killer. The killer gets a depip, almost no bloodpoints and realizes they've wasted their spare time standing next to that one hooked survivor.
Therefore it is LESS LIKELY for the killer to camp next game. If nobody rushes gens because the killer camps said killer will learn that "generator progress can be stopped by standing next to the hook".
Long story short: Don't reward campers.

Just did a match as GhostFace, didn't camp at all and managed to get three easy simultaneous basement sacrifices. Second hook was someone far near the outside that I chased and downed, and the third I didn't even have to leave the shack because she ran into me while I had them 99'd. There's a difference between a basement camping killer and ignorant survivors that just stand around it.

It’s been clarified multiple times that camping is a legit strategy with major downfalls.
Easy fix? Ignore post game chat/messages.

Just want to say, you don't need to camp to get a 4 simultaneous hook in basement, as hag when people run through you can pry off the survivor before they unhook with her teleporting to the trap. Nurse can chain blink into a pull off when they know someone is trying to unhook. And lets not forget the potatoes who run to the basement while your chasing them when another survivor os trying to save the poor sod down there?

Also I do throw survs on the basement hook cuz it's harder for them to get out before I'm back, also with the Myers build I use I can see when someone is coming to save them so I can head back and meet them there since I'm still on tier 1 they dont know I'm there and I can down them and hook them on the basement hook

I'll be honest, if 3 survivors are hooked in the basement a lot of the time I can't resist joining them. I feel left out, and basement parties are a rare and sorta beautiful sight 😄

That's why you use Burrowed Time, Decisive Strike, or Dead Hard. All good perks for those situations. If killer's camping then go do gens. Simple
Don't loop killer's if basement's down there and you're injured. Simple.

Honestly, this is the best choice if you can help it, risk looping near basement when injured(or when someones hooked in basement) helps the killer more then it helps you. Simple is sometimes the smart answer

Don't get me wrong, it's the survivor's fault for not drawing you away, but I have to say that yes:
- If you came back cause you knew someone would go for the unhook and you downed both rescuer and unhooked guy you're proxycamping and tunneling (I usually go for the rescuer and leave the unhooked go, it gives way more BP)
- If you stayed in the proximity of the basement and did not let someone do the unhook you were proxy camping or basement camping
- In order to have 4 people in the basement you had to be around for them not to go away and have them all there (which could've been cause you were basement camping or they were stupid AF to go together for the rescue )
Again, this is a valid strategy, the basement is a hard spot to go against and even more against specific killers like Bubba or Billy, but still, if they all got hooked there it was cause they didn't make you go out in a chase, either if it was cause of you camping/proxy camping or cause they didn't know how to take you off the basement, it was the survivors fault

I hate to leave someone in the basement though. I like to at least try to save them, if no one else is. If everyone is around, that's when I'll try to work on a gen instead.

If a killer hooks 4 people in the basement honestly the faults yours as a survivor not as the killer. Shoulda learned after the second person getting caught in there. Some killer's have some nice basement perks that can be used so they dnt even need to camp to come get you both.
Territorial Imperative. I've used it before and its incredibly strong if you get certain basements. Plus it's funny when you come down and they are digging in a chest.

@dbizzle or extremely lucky, i was doing a daily as a nurse and downed a survivor in the shack. I hooked them in the basement and the other 3 swarmed the basement allowing me to injure everyone and and hook another person. They just didn't leave the area attempting to fall onto the stairs as i tried to head up or hide injured through the window hoping i was both blind and deaf. 4 in the basement and didn't camp because no one chose to leave and heal or lead me away from the shack.
