This is supposed to be a team game.
So why is surviving solo so rewarding compared to not?

Since when was this a team game? You can play as a team but that doesn't make it a team game.

Always has been? Even when you're solo you have to work together.
Unless youre the guy that just sit in a locker the whole game i couldn't imagine how you wouldnt see this as a team game.
Who unhooks you? Your teammates. Who flashlight saves you? Your teammates. Whos supposed to do gens while you're distractimg/in chase with killer? Your team...? Its 100% a team based game. Its a 4v1 not a 1+1+1+1V1 . If everyone one played not realizing its a team it'd be as awful as rank 20 games go

It's never been classed as a 'Team Game'. It's one of those, work together or work alone and use the others as a distraction types. And the amount of times these 'Teams' end up blocking each other at windows, doors, hooks, etc. They basically screw each other over because they're all like a flock of birds sticking together making themselves walking targets.

If it were a team game you'd win or loss together. You can't win without the others help. But you certainly can be the only one who does win.

A cooperative game is not precisely the same as a team game. Survivors are allies, not teammates. A team game is one where the entire team either wins or loses as a group. In DBD, survivors may be cooperating but their goals are independent from one another. In other words, at the end of the day, everyone is out for themselves.
