Scott Jund's video on Spirit

Don't mind me, just a nurse main enjoying the cry of the spirit mains, what a roundabout compared to 1 month ago
in all seriousness, to anyone that think you should be required to run a specific perk to fix one aspect of the game that is broken you should really tell us how much you like to run ruin, corrupt intervention and/or pop every match, or have to face DS/BT/unbreakable every match
the "you should run X to counter Y" is bs that try to excuse bad design on devs part, infinites, gen speed at high ranks, bad map design, games too fast are things every killer and survivor hates but to justify their narative they pretend it's ok

Not sure if you are being serious or not but you make money with a youtube channel. Otherwise, there would be no incentive to have a youtube channel. Content creators milk their audiences of what they want to hear whether it is right or wrong.
2 -
So you can't just make YouTube videos just for fun? Scott literally stopped uploading on YouTube for months due to the hole de-monotization affecting his videos which is why he primarly does streaming.

Imagine thinking the opinion of one of the top DBD players doesn't matter. But hey, if you don't agree with Scott's opinion, go watch Tofu's video on Spirit.

@Chewy102, regarding the "double standard": from a killer point of view, I think that after the insta-heal nerf devs just need to nerf keys and swf teams will be much more approachable. You'll still lose some no matter what, but mostly you can have fun and fight.
Spirit is not like that. You don't need to be high skill to make a game miserable, you just need a pallet and to stay still. Maybe you'll win as a survivor, but still no fun.
Compare this with what I just said regarding post-nerf swf teams: you can lose, but still have fun.
(yeah yeah, fun is subjective and what not... let's say, there is a dynamic interaction between players in one case, there's not in the other.)

His video hits right on the mark. The difference between Nurse is you get clear signals of what she's gonna do before she does it. Things like seeing how long she charges her blinks so you can judge the distance, the direction she's facing so you can judge her direction, and you can make your decision before she does this action. And yet, Nurse is still stronger than Spirit, but is a lot more interactive. Spirit has no indicators of what she's gonna do. It's boring, a guessing game, and generally just unfun as you didn't really outplay the Spirit nor get outplayed by her.

Yes, but that's clearly not why he made that video. To show how disingenuous he is, I watched him a little a long time ago and he was stream sniped with Huntress and they all got out and teabagged him at the exit gates. He was stream sniped by the same SWF and he used Spirit with a Mori out of revenge because he was pissed. It was funny seeing him barely killing them all. They were down to 1 gen and he supposedly played the most OP killer with a mori. And here he claims this killer is unfair with how strong survivors "can potentially be". Hilarious.

I never said killers can't complain against swf or "genrush". Both of them are a problem. I am also not saying every Spirit that even bothers to try, I'm saying a great Spirit player, not just someone who picked her up. Just like a great Nurse player (with a favorable map) could always guarantee a win.

I personally get saved by it more than doomed.

I'm quiet certain if they were stream sniping and knew Scott was playing Spirit they must of been using a very anti Spirit build which is strong against her (Quick & Quiet, Dance With Me, Lithe, Iron Will though I could be wrong so correct me) which both a swf team who also all play a specific builds for one killer who they already know in advance is extremely small chance of happening.
You can't really do that in normal play as your never gonna know who the killer is.

You need to be a YouTube partner first before you can get money and as far as I know he is not a partner (anymore).

I'm really confused but what does any of this have to do with anything? You're bringing up the strength of Spirit which had nothing to do with the video.
Also my YouTube revenue goes to my editor.

It's true.. so what do you want?

I made a comment about this video and I will be copying and pasting it to here, it is long and it has time stamps pertaining to the video
1:04 now I will say old legion was boring but that is a completely fine notion of "you are going down even if it takes a while" you are not meant to 1v1 the killer as a survivor, that is why there is 4 of you, you have 2 hits before you go down (unless specific 1 shots occur) and you need to be hooked 3 times before you die. your job as survivor is to waste as much of the killers time throughout the match among the 4 survivors to power the exit gates and escape. there should be no 1v1 potential unless the skill of the survivor vastly out scales that of the killer but that is why the MMer is in place.
1:19 you say there is no feedback against spirit when you are wrong, there is 2 details about spirit that lets you know when she phases
1 the glass in her body lights up
2 her hair resets its animation
now the hair one can be covered up by a cosmetic and so can SOME BUT NOT ALL of her glass shards, (but cosmetics giving a in game advantage is not unheard of just look at blendete)
this notion of her giving no feedback has only been made by people who don't want to pay attention to tells that are not as obvious as daylight
you even admit to the glass lighting up part, which then contradicts your "sprit gives no feedback" right there, but you say that it is not reliable but I am able to make those reads myself plenty, it also helps to get in the mind of the killer a bit and that is why I play both sides, killer and survivor. just because your friends may not be good at determining the details is not a good reason to write off one of the tells for counter play.
also as a tip to all those who say you cant counter spirit, next time you are at a semi unsafe pallet, and you don't know if the spirit is phasing or not just WALK AWAY, DONT JUST STAND THERE. walk away? then she is phasing around the loop looking for you, if she is doing the mindgame? she will probably break the pallet or at worst will phase around it wasting time of her power to go around it and towards you but because you are walking, it will be harder to track you so also DONT BE PREDICTABLE IN YOUR MOVEMENT. do these 2 things and you will do much better against spirit

What's true? Clown is bottom of the garbage with Legion.
1 -
Yeah I haven't said clown is anything but terrible in over a year. Also Dead Hard isnt bad if used for making distance. Not sure what hes talking about
1 -
As with everyone, id be very interested in you demonstrating these counters in a KYF

Here's what I'd do 🤗😁
- Switch the rarity of Mother-daughter Ring and Prayer Beads.
- Make Spirit leave Blue Scratch Marks behind her while she is Phasing.
- Decrease her Phase cool-down to 10 seconds (currently it's 15 seconds).
0 -
Thought you still considered Clown higher mid tier. Oh well, my mistake.
0 -
that would kill her, mainly the blue scratch mark idea
1 -
I was making a comparison of the strength of survivors and Spirit and why she doesn't need nerfed. When she gets "looked" at by the devs then she'll be dead alongside the nurse.
0 -
Yeah at that point might as well just remove her invisibility altogether. Just a few minutes of watching a survivor running away from you as a non spirit and you'll know how "scratch marks work"
0 -
Scratch marks are delayed, remember? :D
0 -
if you actually watched the video you're giving me ######### for you know I'm not talking about her strength. its literally the first 30 seconds of the video. come on man.
1 -
not by that much and plus idk what they did but it seems like scratch marks are screwed up atm, it will look like someone went 1 way with scratch marks but went the other. so scratch marks at mare not the most reliable
0 -
By less than a second or two tops. Any loop that takes 3 seconds to go around normally is long enough for those to appear and a survivor to then react by quick vaulting thereby removing spirit's power from the equation altogether. I suppose the spirit could then use those scratch marks just to return, but then survivors would be able to then turn that around and not fast vault altogether and now she has a cooldown and on the wrong side of the pallet. Almost like the spirit becomes the guessing game with no bonuses to help out with it since she can't break pallets / vault in phasing...This sounds like a familiar situation
0 -
With 174% movement speed while phasing, she can cover 21.12 meters in 3 seconds. Keep in mind survivors don't see where you are precisely because scratch marks are delayed, so they have to act quickly. 🤗

I just want the grass moving. They better not turn her #########. I didnt p3 her with all perks for nothing.
1 -
Everytime a gigamind says something about how strong Spirit is you know they didn't watch the video. Ah yes, I love you DBD forums.
2 -
Considering how many people that seem to almost be proud of making others have a bad time... I'm not surprised. With that mindset an arguement like "X isn't fun to play against" might as well be an ancient indecipherable language to them.

That's lag compensation in a nutshell.
