My View On The Nurse

Move slower than a Survivor. Blink. Fatigue. NOW Blink goes on cooldown. Have -100% map pressure. Have 4 gens pop before you can move across the map. NOW Blink goes off cooldown. Find a Survivor. Blink. Miss. Fatigue. Watch Survivor twerk. Watch Survivor walk away faster than Nurse moves. Final gen pops. Gates open. Blink is off cooldown again.

Better hope you're one of the top 3% of Nurse players, folks, because if you can't 100% her blinks, there's no reason to play her! Every other killer can at least chase Survivors if their power sucks thanks to 'tweaks' (Legion), or you just miss. Nurse can't even do chases.


What's next? Giving Billy & Bubba fuel gauges? Make them have to use the pull-cord on the chainsaw each time? Oops! Gotta press the primer three times first! Try again!

How about allowing Survivors to lock the lockers so Huntress can't get her axes back so quick? Gotta break the lock first!

You're obsessed with cooldown bars; why not prevent the Trapper from placing more than 1 trap every 5 minutes? I mean, they have got to be hard to set! It's tiring! He has to recover!

Why not make the Wraith have to actually inscribe the marks on his bell? They flake off the more he rings it, so he has to stop, get mud, and reapply them!

You could add a 'Mud' gauge to The Hag so she can't spam her traps! And if she runs out on an indoor map, she has to go get more!

Maybe the Doctor should have a 'Charge' gauge, and he has to go plug into generators if he stays in Treatment mode too long, or uses his shock power. Speaking of; even the doctor in Treatment mode, the mode NOT MEANT TO CHASE PEOPLE is faster than the Nurse!

Gotta love having a power on a freaking GAUGE to make me feel like an unstoppable killer!


Whoever did the 'balancing' for Nurse:

Did it not occur to you that Nurse had a slower-than-Survivor walking speed BECAUSE she could spam her Blink. That her Blink was SUPPOSED to be how she got around?

Clearly not, because giving her Blink fatigue AND a cooldown AND the cooldown only starts after Fatigue ends shows you had no base idea WHY the Nurse was how she was.

AND THE FACT THAT YOU LEFT HER MOVESPEED AT 96.25% AFTER REMOVING HER ABILITY TO SPAM BLINK SHOWS YOU ALSO HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE NURSE WORKED OR NOW WORKS!


This was not 'tweaking' or a 'look at'. No. Those words are flat-out lies. This was a savage beating with the nerf bat. You left Nurse players NOTHING for their Killer. All you did was remove anything that made her at all viable and throw in a garbage cooldown bar that she never needed, because EVERY damn Killer has had a cooldown bar for the last 3 updates. Why are you all obsessed with cooldown bars?


Don't look at Spirit. No. Don't touch her AT ALL until you FIX Nurse. You did NOTHING that 'fixed' Nurse. You straight up ground her into the dirt and then turned to Spirit and said 'You're next'.

You've done NOTHING to show Killers that Spirit will be 'looked at' or 'adjusted' with how you've handled Nurse. Because you've done NOTHING but completely remove Nurse's ability to actually kill anyone.


The Nurse is not better. Not unless 'Better' means 'Survivors no longer have to worry at all' in BHVR speak.

And if the Spirit gets the same treatment, then there will basically be 0 reason to play Killer. Not because all the OP Killers are nerfed, but because you've shown that any Killer that does remotely good WILL be 'adjusted' to favor Survivors.

No, not adjusted; nerfed into useless bloodpoint farms that Survivors can bully. Because that's all new Nurse is; a slow mess that can teleport twice before she's back to plodding along, being useless.

    All good. I fought against my first nurse since the nerf. I got hit once because a teammate led her directly into me, then kited her around preschool #5 75% of map, back into the preschool, then lost her in the boiler floor (not basement). After grabbing a medkit from the chest nearby she happened to hear me so I kited her around the outside twice, scratch marked downstairs and walked out door and along my jolly way. After that she basically gave up on me for the rest of the match. She ended up getting her first hook on final gen completion, someone saved that one and got downed, and that one gave up before we could even save them.

    There's a bunch of feedback regarding new nurse and the only thing devs said was to try the red add on so she walks faster and not blink in one of the discussions.. I just want the base kit to remain the same and do whatever to the rest because playing vs high tiered survivors as her is really boring now

    How about BHVR learns how to actually balance Killers or actually listens to feedback from more than just Survivor mains.

    I know people will claim 'BHVR listens to everyone!' but if they had listened to even ONE Killer, Nurse would not be this much of a steaming pile.

    Hell, people said the cool down was too much on the PTR and they NERFED HER MORE when they brought this garbage live! Her cooldown used to start along with Fatigue, not after.


    Nurse, and Legion, are proof BHVR does not listen to this community, or only listens to the Survivors. These two would not be utter trash if they heard even ONE Killer speak.

    Nurse main here

    if you are avarege new nurse is bad, you can't spam blinks anymore and survivors have a better time hiding

    if you are good new nurse went from S tier to A tier due to loss on map pressure (this hit me the most) and chases taking longer

    if you are godlike new nurse is still the best killer in the game, but the survivors may pop one gen before getting 4k'd

    overall, at every match I play I feel like the old one was even more overpowered and needed the nerf, she is still fine

    That doesn't change the fact she's awkward and somewhat unfun with how her blink charges are restrictive of a playstyle she had for years. Being overpowered and 4king isn't a lot of people's concern, it's the fun that came with her.

    I'd rather have to hit survivors 3 or 4 times to down them and retain her old basekit, because at least I'd still have fun playing her as a killer. It's the equivalent of giving Huntress default 3 hatchets even with addons before she has to reload, when a lot of people's main enjoyment from Huntress is using hatchets in every situation because it's fun.
