How do you use effectively Shred?
I just recently got the Demogorgon and for some reason I'm struggling a lot hitting survivors with Shred. They seem to have no problem dodging it, and the very few times I manage to achieve something is when I use it to bodyblock a window.
Any suggestions on how to not suck at Demogorgon?

Most of the times fake the shred attack, especially near a pallet (unless you're facing low ranks, then just shred). Most of the vault should be a relatively hit with shred, especially shack and L T walls. But, as said most of the time use it to fake it.

kinda like huntress you need to wait.. if they try to juke, you get closer then you can hit with a basic attack... or you can just shred them, when you get close enough it's hard for them to juke the shred, since you have the fastest lunge in the game.. you need to fake, zoning a lot, understand the charge and the range, it takes some practice..

I'm just bait Survivors when I'm looping with them. If Survivor is close to the pallet, I'm faking Shred. Also I'm waiting like lunaticlifter.
If you're experienced Killer in DbD, you will learn it.

I think you've gotten all the answers you need but i'll suggest something to.
Use Shred around long narrow loops so you can take a hit off them at a pallet, you can also use Shred at a lot of regular loops if you get a good line up at the loop as well... If you're attempting to shred someone in an open area, than your best option is to either get closer to do it or fake the shred out so they move around to avoid that hit that isn't even happening... than you can just hit them regularly...
The shred is also good at loops like shack pallet, if you go through the doorway leading to the inside of the shack pallet and ready it up in view of the window... you can determine if its a good time to hit them with it or not if you see they going into the vault animation.
You can tell when someones going through the vault animation when either... their item vanishes from their hand (if they had one), their character slides into position for the vault (Think of it as they're sliding towards it like they're on an ice rink...), and if the Survivor isn't looking behind them when they vault...
This can be used at any window, but the shack pallet suffers from it the most... especially if you're going around the side of the shack and you anticipate if they're going to move out of the way for the shred or not... you can than just fake it out or guess where they'll move for a risky hit... but you'll be rewarded with a lot of deviousness points.
Also, Demogorgon doesn't need add-ons to still be useful in a game, but if you want to use add-ons but not the really rare ones... than I suggest you use Rat Liver and Mew's Guts....
This will allow you to move into position for shreds easier with Rat Liver since it increases your movement speed while holding the shred... and Mew's Guts increases your portal size... so it's decent to use with Rat Liver... but that's just a side benefit... the real benefit is that if you miss a shred than you'll recover slightly faster from it!
