Bud the reason there's no ''evidence" is because it's such a stupid idea that all game developers know it'd kill a game. There's no evidence because no one has been dumb enough to say ''You are hereby punished for enjoying a pastime with your friend."
I'm sorry you so desperately want this to be just a baseless assumption, but it's really not. It's just straight up damn common sense. Games will never punish people for playing with friends, because games are made to make money. Not alienate players.
Alienating players is the fastest way to end your game's livelyhood and there's more than enough known instances of that that we'd be here all night listing them. It just so happens no company has been idiotic enough to say ''Friends bad. Don't bring them." like you apparently want BHVR too.

Most SWF aren’t 4 ppl anyway, and gen rush isn’t a thing... it’s legit doing gens to get out. Basically the objective. If I hook 3 people in 4 min am I hook rushing? Lol 3 minutes is enough for a killer to at least chase and hook 2 survivors. I play plague and hag as my main and you legit spawn and walk to the opposite corner (after prep for hag) bc survivors tend to stay pretty close to where they spawn for a while. This game isn’t hard for killers lol

Survivors seem to want Nurse and now Spirit nerfed because there is a CHANCE those Killers will be chosen and it's "UNFUN" to play against them. Survivors seem to think that it being "unfun" and having "no real counter play" are good enough reasons to nerf something.
A lot of Killers choose Spirit and Nurse to combat the CHANCE of getting a sweaty/toxic SWF group because those are "UNFUN" to play against and there is "no real counter play" because they don't know if they are facing a SWF group. But Survivors seem to think the Killer having a "unfun" time and "no real counter player" isn't enough of a reason to touch SWF or letting the Killer know who is in a SWF group.
Which takes me to the beating of the dead horse of "people shouldn't be punished for playing with their friends". Which should be reworded to "my group of friends and i shouldn't be punished for playing together but if the killer is punished with extra frustration and a unfun time that is okay because it doesn't effect us".

But why? She is the most balanced killer yet, she has many counters and can counter many, she is the toxic player slayer which is awesome I speak as both a survivor and a killer on that part, she is the most fun to play against especially with a good spirit, if she gets nerfed then bloody legion will outclass her, since the only way to nerf her if to basically give the toxic players their power to be toxic again, the fact you can't tell if she is standing for phasing is perfect for them to learn why not to be toxic whereas non toxic players wouldn't really be affected by it, but it stops looping a bit more, in a chase, if she stops she could be phasing or standing there tricking you to think that and you got to guess which one and stop running and walk simply to the side where you are wrong and now hiding from something now actually charging at you for a free hit or you're right and escape, the counter is to beat the mind games and be the better player overall

Easier as a survivor than a killer depending on who you ask even for those that play both, I play both sides, surviving is way easier to the overall, some maps however are harder but still leans survivor way, again, to how I've done each game, as a killer I win roughly 79% of my games and as a survivor around 86% gen rush is basically doing objective, but I must admit, it is a bit too quick,

If swf were to be removed, it would just go back to the old way where survivors dodge lobbies until they get matched with their buddies causing queue times to increase without fixing the "problem".

Why nerf and hinder fun when the team should buff other things to that "fun" level.... what's so wrong with solo survivor being as strong as SWF when the team can also buff the lower tier killers up to the performance level of spirit and Billy... imo theres nothing wrong with the team doing something like this.
This whole nerf, nerd, nerf bs needs to stop.

Depends on if the nerfs are reasonable or not. There were some good changes in the recent past like removing insta heals or nerfing the Nurse.
The next should be Spirit, maps like Haddonfield, keys, Iri Head and red moris.
It is true that there is a lot of complaining here, but if a Killer, an item or even some mechanics are overpowered, then why not nerfing it? Everybody is to scared that his favourite Killer or his op perk might get put down to a ballanced level, so they are against these needed nerfs... and that for the sake of an unballanced game....
On the other side, the same applies to buffs ofc. Killers like Clown, Wraith, Leatherface or Legion definitly need some small buffs so they become viable. Also many perks on both sides.

Except the "common consensus" is to buff the poor little solo survivors (who're mechanically the same as good survivors) to CWF levels while gutting the top performing killers' abilitites.
