Fix Vaulting please
As a killer main can't believe i'm gonna suggest this.. However can we fix the game mechanic where the survivor has safely vaulted to the other side of a window, fence, etc. and still some how manages to get hit?
They did a good job, magaged to vault to safety and while completely on the other side manages to still get hit. Not what should happen me thinks.

Can they also fix when you are running towards a window you don't sometimes slow vault over it.

You're confused that killers can reach through open windows?

Well i can poke people with a stick through an open window, so i wouldn't say Survivors are safe on the other side.
And if they're far away from the window and still get hit, blame latency, which can't be fixed by the devs because of how the game's made.8 -

Not what should happen me thinks.I feel like they designed it in that way deliberately but yeah if they land safely, they shouldn't get a hit. It feels clunky just like new pallet animation.

I mean it's clear when you're JUST on the other side of the window that it is intended for killers to be able to hit survivors, but more often than not I've started running and I'm a few feet away and I still get hit.4

It is actually really critical that survivors get as few mechanics that prevent a hit even if the killer is in attack range as possible. That is what the vacuum pallet change did, and it essentially broke the game's balance because it creates a scenario where survivors have extremely potent safezones where the killer is unable to hit them despite the survivor not attempting to progress the chase to an escape. It rewards inactivity and just utilizing an absolute defense, which is very boring for both sides unless you are a survivor who gets off on bullying rather than actually good gameplay.
Your goal is meant to be gaining distance in order to enable a hard LOS break and escape, NOT to block hits. Back in the old days, pallets didn't even block hits at all, even if you threw first, which despite being hellishly unintuitive for new survivors was still not enough to give killers the advantage in high end play, and that was mostly changed to make the game easier to understand, not more fair.
Windows being something you can still be hit through is entirely intuitive and thus doesn't even have that excuse. Clearly someone smacking at you through totally empty space while you are within reach will hurt you even if there is a little ledge stopping them from walking forward.

I have yet to see this on a pallet, only on windows. I don't think anything needs to be changed except fixing the inappropriate slow vault issue.1

Allow me to apologize in advance if you have no arms but I know I can clearly stick my arm through a window and hit people just fine. In fact that was one of my favorite pastimes growing up.

Anyway, this happens because of latency and the peer to peer crapshit we got
The hit still connects through the cone for some reason.

It's the one where the stairs go halfway then turn 90 degrees and go to the top floor. I ran straight at the window and did a slow vault, which got me killed. Had I mad it I could have escaped most likely. It's really frustrating.

I lold at this xD. I really want them to fix all this stuff though. If youre holding the run button, it should always be a fast vault. & if youre on the other side a bit away from the window, you shouldnt get hit. The lag has been terrible on ps4 since 2.0.0 & windows are the real killers... Lol or the pallets that teleport the killer, he wacks you down THEN gets stunned. Pffft... Borken shiz -_- Lol

The windows mecanics are rather consistent overall. Most players are high ranks manage to estimate your lunge range properly, as it becomes rather easy to estimate with some experience (except sometimes against Piggy & Freddy since they're rather deceptive).
Windows have already been fixed a lot back in the past in that regard, it used to be way worse when it came to the range of the killer over windows.
About the "medium vault" issue, sprinting isn't the only factor. You need to come toward the window, in front of it, in order to quick vault.

My instance on Father's Chapel I was running STRAIGHT at the window, for about 15m, and I still did a slow vault. Didn't change direction or stop running or nothing. It was 100% supposed to be a fast vault but it wasn't. There are a few windows like this.

Could use a video for that. Were you against clown, eventually ? If you're intoxicated, you cannot quick vault over vaulting spots. That may be the reason.

No it was a Myers. I was injured and running straight to the window up a flight of short steps. Sometimes there is just an opening there no window, and you'd fall about 5ft to the ground (same height as dump trucks on Wrecker's). It was 100% supposed to be a fast vault but instead I did a slow vault. Didn't cap it I shoulda. But it wasn't a situation where there was something else at work, just me running at a window straight on and doing a slow vault for some reason.

You do know that when going through a window your hit box lingers behind for a split second before catching back up with you right?

Oh, I didn't know you were an expert on game coding and animations! Huh. Well, I guess latency and connection is out the window then, Sally has this covered.

No thanks, Looping around jungle gyms and buildings is already strong enough without this being changed. A killer must still judge whether or not the lunge will connect or not (sometimes I am absolutely certain it will and I hit thin air).

Well there is a window, of you can take your weapon and lunge through the window
It's always funny when survivors expect to be safe on the other side0
