How to break Ghostface out of stalk
so when I am looking at him for more than 5 seconds, I still can break him out oh his stealth. Sometimes I can but mostly he can stalk me while I look him and while I am constantly looking at him. To me he is an instadown Michael and it seems that I can barely counter his power. I thought he can only stalk when I can't see him. Even when I run him around loops, he continues to stalk me and I dont hear any audio que or progress of breaking his stealth aka revealing him.

i do not understand ghostface. i thought if you look at him it would break him from his power but it seems to me it just gives him more, like you said then able to instadown. also i thought survivors could reveal him meaning we would get to see his aura, i have never seen this happen. i don't like him, i have seen him literally pop up in front of me, didn't know where he came from, he was just there.

The problem is that GF ist awfully inconsistant. You can reveal him sometimes even though you didnt look purposely, and next time you cannot break him even with just 2m away.

To reveal him you need to have LOS (i.e. can't reveal him when you are behind a wall) and then need to center the camera on him for a few seconds.
Generally it's best to treat him like myers and just hide, since once he knows where you are he can usually peek stalk you to full and there's nothing you can do about that really. You can't break him out if he is crouching behind a corner and you can only see his face.
I always run spine chill so ghost face ambushes have never been a problem for me, I feel blind without that perk.

This is a common misunderstanding. Ghostface can stalk you as long as he can reasonably see you. You looking at him doesn't make him stop stalking it just tells him he needs to move or be broken out of stealth. When he's out of stealth he can no longer stalk. To break him out you need to have him within 8 degrees of center in your camera.
The issue comes is that mechanically this is highly inconsistent in many situations. A lot of players can almost instantly break his stealth, but a lot of others have issues with it. You can still break his stealth at weird ranges and angles where you can't see him as well. If you're standing there trying to break his stealth he will still be stalking you and depending on his build and if he is leaning or not you may not break him before you become exposed.

To break him out of stealth you need to keep him roughly at the centre of your screen, and make sure your body doesn't cover him, most of his body needs to be visible

i do that and he still instantly knocks me down. when you do that does gf leave you alone or does he continue to chase?

If you manage to reveal him and you are the only one around he will keep chasing you, he's not an idiot
If he doesn't attack you it's because you are close to being exposed so he's waiting for it

its ok i understand now as i have read on somebody elses question. the reason why i cant break gf out and i get exposed, it's because gf has built his power up, just before it's max, he wait until survivor looks at him and then he instantly knocks down

@ReikoMori I have him directly in the center and don't hear any progress in breaking him out of his stealth.

He could be running addons for distance to reveal. It starts at 32 but he can get get it down to about 20, meaning you can be stalked with no chance of snapping him out

I pal slammed him and he tried stalking me from behind the pal.. he was dead center in my screen behind the pal as i was in front of it and i was exposed.
