45 min queue time for rank 18-20 new killer
As the title says...
I'll give some backstory, i have been chilling waiting for a while to decide to get this game, now that i have time to play i just got the game 1 month ago, i have currently played roughly 20 killer games, but not because the queue timers are slow but because they are slow that i give up on playing the killer.... i have no idea why its like this, if its a bug or soemtehing or my low rank.
for me as a new player this is a terrible first experience because i watch streamers play the game and it looks fun, i learn more from watching videos and streaming than playing the game (cuz i currently sit so long in queue).
I stream my self so i can clip proof of me waiting over 20+ min.
Now i want to like this game, even if it has terrible graphics, and the perks feel like a hell of a grind and really unfair for new players who dont have hours and hours on each killer/surviver... but i can't even put those hours in because i give up on sitting 20min queue... how can i get better or learn to go in higher rank as a killer when the hands on experience i get is terrible i meet super high survivers with decisive strike (yeahi i know what it is cuz of me watching hours and hours of streams and videos) but idk...
sorry for my terrible writing, i am a bit tired... and frustrated i rather get shorter queues, and meet stupidly hard survivers though... but 45 min just to get 3x decisive strike, and perks that let them avoid my traps, and sprint away and do the "butt dance" is really not fun, please make the game more enjoyable... i want to enjoy it.
also please let us queue and look at the store, and cosmetics, its like you want us new players to not want to buy all your goodies....

the wait times are like this because of the bloodhunt. killer is just easier to get bps on than survivor and the reason your getting people with dstrike so much is because you're literally waiting for anyone in the game to be open to play.

but for 1 whole month ive had the game? and i still have to wait? bloodhunt has been going on since i started? jesus.... please tell me if i rank up i might have at least shorter queue times, i have leveled 3 killers to lvl 20, and i have done so via only play survivor (which i find boring)

i dont want to sound like a negative nancy (pun intended) but i really want to just play the damn game

my killer queues are 5 minutes in purple- red ranks, i highly doubt you are spending 20-35 minutes in brown ranks in queue where there is much more of a player base than higher ranks.

I waited 20 minutes today as killer and I'm in the purple ranks.

As each season progresses and more people rank up the queues for low ranks seems to get harder to fill. It is supposed to pair you with people in a six rank range, but many are already higher than that since they have been playing so much. Next Rank reset is in 9 days.
That being said, the queues this bloodhunt have been pretty bad even for me with survivor and killer currently at ranks 6 and 7. I gave up early this morning and do not regret it.
Way too many of my playtime hours since 2016 were waiting in lobbies and loading screens. I hope they figure it out eventually.
PS: If you are waiting longer than 5 minutes, just remake your lobby. It works for me sometimes but not sure if related.

well i am telling you i had multiple 45 min queues, i watched a video, tabbed out, was 1hr long youtube guide, came back 35 min in the video the queue popped, and i watched the video maybe 10 min after i just sat around doing nothing, i find it strange too

yeah i know it resets 13th, i actually played last 13th, on october, and the queue was decent, i had "normal" 5 min queues, i still find it long, but 45 is a bit much, i lose the feel of the game, ive been playing today, with 15-25 min queues as myers, i finally got back to rank 18 (was 17)

What are you all on? I've only been playing Killer 90% since BH and Archives since people are farming hook saves and my lobbies take a max of 2 minutes (usually just 15-30 seconds) to find. Regular PS4 (no slim, or special edition, etc) here.

Yeah I didn't think to ask, what platform are you on because that can make a difference. Today since Bloodhunt has ended my queues in purple are pretty much the same, around 5-10 at most.
Something to take into consideration is that if a group of low level survivors which would normally be paired against you, queue up with a friend that is in green - red ranks, the game will match those low level survivors with their SWF friends rank killers. So ultimately it leaves you looking for a group longer which is unfortunate.
In reality a lot of new players to the game don't solo queue, they usually have a friend carry them and explain the game to them to get them started. That could be why its taking a long time to find games in your rank, there are very few actual solo survivors playing.
The queue times do get better though, especially green - purple. Red rank is the only time you can find long queues depending on time of day.

the blood hunt is over...the wait times are still over 20 minutes which is pretty much unbearable

To be honest, that makes sense since i myself only play survivor if i am playing with friends, and they are all purple-13 1 of them started with me and she is 19, and i am 16 on survivor but yeah.
As for platform i place on PC, idk if it maters but in Europe as well
i still feel like above 35 min queue for a new player is not okay, i rather get matched vs harder oponents and have a harder time than wait,after 10 min just throw me with anyone, ihave faced off against a lvl 4 survivor who flexed om me, as my 3rd time myers and they won super fast, but i told them i had to wait 31 min for the queue and they told me "yeah ur just salty cuz ur bad" and but danced.... he also didnt believe me that my queue was long, and i told him i can clip it off my stream and send it to him, but they left. or didnt respond,
I really wanna like this game but this ######### is hard to deal with, soon as i get hag leveled up for the Ruin, i will be on a rampage, already got BBQ and chilli, and i have had loads of time trying to be a non-campy killer, but survivors make me not like the game
either way, from making this post, my queue timers are still long, i can make a clip where some are like 12 min, which is better than before, but i literally still sat in 30 min queues still...
I can understand if i was a "grand master" in league of legends or higher or in any other game because that would make sense, but in this game i have barely 60 hours on, over 40 of those hours are in queue

Surprisingly for the last couple of days my killer queues in purple and red ranks have been fairly quick, I would say less than 5 minutes, however my survivor purple and red rank solo queues have been 10+.
As mentioned before your queue times should lessen as you improve in rank, but until then it sounds like you are just really unlucky in either the time you are playing the game or the region you are in.

The queue time for 20-16 is always bad after the patch where they safeguards depip under R15, I don't know what you guys been on about OP being unlucky. Survivors that are new to the game can queue with their friend and shoot pass grey rank in no time, leaving grey rank killer even less survivor to match up.
The queue time improve after you hit R16 and would be the best by the time you are in green or purple rank, and facing a lot of smurf survivors that can loop till daylight.
