There was literally no way to fix old Freddy’s power, it needed a complete overhaul.
They did go a bit overboard with nurse, but it’s not that bad.
Old legion was absolutely awful to play against with no counterplay.
The problem with pig’s endgame collapse was if there was a minute on the collapse timer, and you got a hat on you, you were guaranteed dead. I think they could have done something better, and I dislike it, but it would have been broken.
In my opinion, I think spirit needs to be changed slightly, but not destroyed. Just remove collision, maybe add a vaulting animation, and remove prayer beads, and she’s fine.
Doctor really isn’t that bad if you know how to play him right. It’s difficult, but you can still win. I do think they need to buff him slightly, maybe make the yellow range addon base kit. But he’s not that bad.
I understand your anger, but try to think about everything from both perspectives.

Just make prayer beads remove collision and she had a decently noticeable animation when she starts phasing

How about we make them fun to play as and fun to play against? The second part is missing from spirit.

I never actually thought about the different animation when starting to phase, because you could just phase and stay on the same side as a mind game, but I think prayer beads could add collision again, but her base kit needs to have collision removed

I do consider both sides. The problem is that the developers only consider if a killer is fun for survivors when they rework them. Nurse and Legion are not fun to play in their current state.

Collision is actually good for survivors, imagine your about to make a pallet but she goes through you and appears, you die when before you could have thrown it and it removes body blocking for team mates. I've had so many survivors use it to find me at pallets and slam them. For 1 bs hit collision gives survivors theres 3 survivors that live because of it.

Depends, how do you use it? Also it would lead to a bunch of issues such as, what if she appears in survivors? Are they trapped? A killer without collision with survivors is going to be super buggy. Also
I had the idea of her hair doing a flick for a second when she starts phasing, this would require survivors to be close but not make it map wide or yelled at survivors. But its feedback that could be used against both sides. But this is a nerf so if they want both sides to be more "fun" I think she should have a longer phase base If this was in effect.

That scenario isn't livable even with collision. They haven't reached the pallet by the time you would collide with them if you are able to reach the pallet first without it. So you can hit them before they can throw the pallet with Collision.
Body blocking is the only possible obstacle that collision prevents you from dealing with.

Yes, everyone gets it. Both sides have problems. With your mentality we won't fix anything. Lets not change spirit because swf exists but let's also not change swf because spirit exists.

If you didnt collide with them, you wouldnt be able to appear and swing before they reach the pallet, if you did you get slammed as I've had happen alot, without collision you would be able to run through them and reappear just before the pallet. I would love this,not because it's betterfor survivors though.

Yes you can. If you are colliding with them then pressing M1 will hit them. You don't need to reach the pallet since you've already reached the Survivor. You're done, just push M1 and get the damn hit.
Going through them just means you're taking a split second longer to go forwards a meter or 2 and THEN pressing M1. And they might just throw down the pallet anyway and avoid the hit because you took longer.

Collision is TERRIBLE for survivors. It’s a direct counter to Iron Will, walking, faking or re-vaulting a window, and juking with your scratch marks. Which are, by the way, the “counters” that come out of every killer’s mouth when these threads come up.

Given the nature of how SWF works and why it's a problem. Unironically yes.
You can't solve SWF by directly nerfing it no matter how much you might want to. Thus the solution is to buff solo's and Killers up to their level. Thus not changing Killers like Spirit who can already deal with SWF.

Yes, I suggested that before myself but I don't expect much regarding this topic from the devs. They decided not to make kindred base kit for some reason, that would have been a good start. Even if we do see some actual changes, it will probably take years.

Collision isn't good for survivors, they phrasing i used was not what i meant, i meant that it isn't as bad as its described as if your not hugging walls it wont usually effect you. if spirit doesn't have collision with survivors and this isn't a nerf but a "Quality of life change to be more fun for both" there would need to be something in exchange for this. which would you rather, a spirit getting a few hits because she bumped into you because you hugged a wall or spirit being faster or having a longer phase so that she had more map pressure. maybe something else what do you think?

I agree, and I really hope they drop the cooldown phase they're going through.
Having a cooldown could be good if it didn't use it discretely (i.e, you don't need the full bar to use it, using it doesn't delete the whole bar if you cancel early, etc...) and actually felt interesting to use. Like you get different variations on the power depending on how much of the charge bar you want to use, or something like this.
Slapping a cooldown on top of old mechanics that you aren't going to update or change is just stupid. It was a stupid idea, the community gave PAGES of feedback with way better ideas than what we got. I was never against BHVR before this, just cautious. Now I just want them to ######### stop with the stupid "Be an m1 killer while you wait for your power!" bullshit.

Thanks for clarifying. I think the collision would be fine to leave in if she either wasn’t as fast during phasing, or provided more information about where she is during phasing.

You don't know if swf is ever going to change or not.
This isn't just about spirit either. Any time moris are brought up, people keep saying that keys exist so it's fine and vice versa. Nothing will change with this mentality.

The moment you say a killer who has nothing in a chase beyond a first hit is fine shows you dont care about both sides, her dash is easily avoidable by leaving once she starts at 90% of loops, her traps have a chance to be next to useless. But something that could be pretty good for her is completely busted? Yeah ok, I'm sure you play killer alot.

Agreed on the keys..tho my stance is if moris get changed keys must as well..bevause keys are the greater evil if you look at it logistically..but on swf..itll never get changed they cant because the issue isnt something they can change without a huge uproar..its untouchable..why do you think their plan is to buff solo survivor to swf level?

Freddy is in a good place right now but pig needs buffs bad... she needs to have increased movement speed while crouched and move the roar on her lunge to the end of the charge so it's actually a scare tactic rather than you have forever to run to the pallet...

It's not 6 seconds actually, you recharge during fatigue by the time your fatigue ends you have to wait ONLY 3 seconds for your second blink.

People say remove collisions from spirit. But would tthat just make it easier for spirit because now she can just phase through you and pop up right in front of you to hit you anyway. Or pass through dropped pallets cause their is no collision stopping her from doing it.

I am a rank 5 killer. I've been playing a lot with Michael lately because I got a lot of petals with him. I play against red ranks often and most of the matches I played against red ranks have been extremely hard when I've played as Michael; I could barely pressure the gens and in most of the matches I felt helpless. Once I used all the petals I had with him I decided to use the petals I got with Spirit. Well, guess what, I didn't feel like I could barely pressure the gens anymore and I didn't feel helpless at all, actually I felt like I was actually playing the so called "power role" in this game. Haven't played her for months, because I prestiged her and I finally got the perks I want just a couple of weeks ago.
And in case you think this information is relevant; it's not like a get a 4k or 3k everytime I play Spirit, but the fun I had playing against red ranks as Spirit compared to the fun I had playing as Michael is abysmal. Too bad she is getting nerfed. I can imagine how it must've felt when nurse got nerfed.
At this point I'm really starting to care less and less about rank and about my opponents fun, because it certainly isn't fun to be killer in this game once you play against red ranks, unless you play as Spirit or Billy.
I've already said on this forum that I have more hours as survivor and that's because I feel like playing survivor is much less demanding than playing killer in this game. I am a rank 4 solo survivor and I can play multiple matches in a row without feeling any real pressure on me. I don't know, my own experience with the game playing both sides and finding survivor gameplay easier and much more relaxing makes me wonder who the real "power role" is here and how balanced the game really is.
That's why I hate playing with SWF teams and their comms and hate when they invite me to their discord servers to "make the game easier", like if it wasn't easy enough already ffs.
