Worst experience EVER as a "nice" killer... REALLY?! What do you guys think?
Freddy, red ranks, Xbox, Ormond
Yesterday I had to do the mission to sacrifice 5 survivors, I get a 4k as legion and then proceed to start a match as Freddy...
THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO A GEN (Full red ranks SWF)! I get them all to last hook, 2 guys DC (which doesn't count as a sacrifice for the challenge...) and then I go and message the last 2 guys "care to farm? I need 1 sacrificed survivor for a challenge, so, 1 of you has to die and the other can escape, you guys pick who", they answer back "sure, full red ranks and couldn't even do a gen, you're a really good killer, thanks"
I farm with them, and as soon as the last gen pops I let one destroy my NOED and then I proceeded to down him, he messages me "not me", I let him wiggle off, and as he runs away I notice what's happening... the other guy was at the hatch with a key... They both got a hatch escape...
REALLY?! You get to play against a non tunneler, non camper killer who owns your team and lets you farm by politely asking for ONE KILL, ONE! And you play me like this...?
I sent a message to both... "That was really low... I guess that's what I get for being nice"
Survivor 1: "Yep, that's what you get, deal with it"
Survivor 2 "I see an oportunity, I take it"
DON'T YOU DARE COMPLAIN ABOUT TOXICITY IN THIS GAME WHEN YOU ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO PROMOTE IT!
Sorry if I bored you, just felt like sharing...
I'm not gonna stop doing this kind of nice things every now and then, but I surely got really mad...

Hope you learned your lesson. No mercy.

There was one time where I felt bad on two survivors as their teammates body blocked them on purpose so I let them go and killed the other two and then farmed with the other two. We will call these survivors survivor 1 and survivor 2. They got out and guess what I got in return? Was it a thank you? A polite message saying I was nice? Nope I got..
Survivor 1: "GG ez trash killer"
Survivor 2: "Lol thanks for the free points noob"
some people eh? XD
11 -
I'm tunneling the moment I see them again though, LOL

WTH is wrong with people nowdays right?! LMAO!

Imo a mercy moment comes better if it’s unprompted. Give people an inch they take a mile, so you need to sneak them that inch.
Example from a game of mine last night: Ghostface on Ormond. Find 2 people on the shack gen immediately. Mark and down them both. Nea DCs, hook Meg. Find and hook David while Nancy frees Meg. Hook Nancy while Meg frees David. Hook David again and he suicides. 1 gen is done by now. I find Nancy again, and she doesn’t even try to run, just keeps working on her gen after I stabbed her. I feel a shred of pity and walk away, stalk her, mark her, down her, and then let her wiggle free. As this is happening, Meg finds and destroys my totem (Devour Hope, the David was recklessly saving so didn’t get 3 stacks). I go and hook Meg for daring to get my totem, and she sees me clearly ignore Nancy during our chase (Nancy is now working on gen 3). Nancy saves Meg, and they return to the lodge gen. I hook Meg again because totem, then find Nancy as she finishes off the lodge gen. Seeing as she’s been a good sport, I walk around the map with her and give her the hatch. Nothing but respect postgame, even from the Meg who I honestly expected to be salty because I “tunneled” her and ignored Nancy.
Be merciful if you want, but do it on YOUR terms. Expecting a survivor to give it back to you is asking for trouble.

Survivors are toxic, people argue on this all the time but any reasonable realizes most of the toxic people are survivors because survivor can constantly win and is a lot more relaxed as killer. Not everybody but i bring it up because it's really not worth listening to the toxic people who only play survivor on here lol.
This situation just sucked but for future reference you should never trust them, you should have dropped him as soon as he sent the message and downed the other guy. I think it goes without saying but in that situation it would be just as much of a dick move to kill them both
7 -
I just remember sitting at my desk thinking "a thank you would have been enough, no need to over do it" XD
2 -
Whenever you wanna be nice to a survivor, just remember a moment they ######### you over lol
2 -
LMAO! I felt just like that
2 -
Someone already posted it but it just reminded me of Otz's latest video, to be honest.
I'd always just take the first one in that situation, although I'd likely not message to offer a farm at that point in the game, especially not in red ranks. As survivor and killer, I can safely say red rank players are the worst.
6 -
Survivor's are mean man, don't be nice to them ever they don't care about the killer having fun only if they are, then everything just peachy Like that guy says no mercy. Only on adorable Kate but that's it.
3 -
I actively avoid Red ranks every season but I always fall into that pit of despair.
2 -
That logic doesn't add up, tbh. Less relaxed = more toxic, which is the opposite to what you suggest.
In reality both killers and survivors are just as bad; it's the DBD community as a whole. In fact, online gaming communities in general, at that!
4 -
At least I'm glad to say I'm not part of that kind of people, that's all I'm getting from this
3 -
Some people are like that, but not everyone.
1 -
I have to admit I was afraid that if I went on and just killed them they would've DCed like the other 2 from their SWF, I thought I might as well farm some BP and secure the kill... I guess I was wrong...
1 -
"Finally i know what to do with my 250 Ebony Moris on my Prayer Beads Spirit. See you soon.."
3 -
"I'll have to use them fast before the Devs nerf both of them..." LMAO
1 -
@Carlosylu - When I get home from work, the first game I have, I am going to facecamp the first survivor I hook until they die.
This, I do for you.
3 -
What if that survivor is @Carlosylu ?
3 -
Lol, its funny that survivor mains get defensive instantly. But you ARE right it doesn't make sense. But that's DBD
I think its because killers aren't guaranteed a win and tend to also play survivor so there's a respect, but people who only play survivor tend to win consistently and feel entitled. There are toxic killers most definitely, but its insanely ignorant to say it's equal. As a survivor i have only run into a handful toxic killers and have never gotten a message from one. As a killer i can't count how many times I've ran into toxic survivors. Just yesterday there was a toxic Steve that T bagged, then DCd and sent hate mail, A toxic Kate that T bagged, and then DCd, and sent hate mail, and a toxic SWF that T bagged at the exit gate and then sent me hatemail because i killed ONE of them out of the 4. That was just yesterday
The worst thing that has ever happened to me as a survivor was a pig kept looping her mori on me like a month ago.

Wow, I really can't understand why survivors do this??
One time I played against a Freddy on Larry's, red rank. One dc'd and one suicided on hook. Only my friend and me. He hooked us both and let us do the remaining 5 gens completely and let us pallet save each other a few times. After all gens were powered, we opened the exit, but we wanted him to kill us. That guy even ran away from us, wanted us to escape. But we both stayed until endgame sacrificed us as a big "thank you".
Sometimes I even let killers kill me at the end if they had a really bad round. Some even refuse to. And I think why not? Some killers give hatch, so why should I not give a kill to some others for a few points? Escaping is not winning. For me winning is, if I had fun and made a few points. Even better if everyone had fun, including killer.
It really makes me sad that some people are this toxic that they even agree to a farming round and then do something like this. I guess this is why killers get angry and disappointed and take an ebony mori for the next round...what I really could understand, even though the next survivors might be the nicest souls. Sadly you can never tell.

If I start stomping to hard I feel bad but then I remember they'd be the one's t-bagging at the gate if I didn't stomp
2 -
Yep, always, if there's a DC I let them have 1 free gen fixed, if 2 guys DC I either let one escape or I farm with them
0 -
If someone DCs at the start of the game I 99% of the time let people farm and escape cause I don't really care about pips. The higher I get up in rank the longer my queue times are gonna be.
The worst general feeling I can have is when someone DCs and I let everyone farm and escape and I don't get a single thank you. Like, I didn't have to let you live, but I did, and I even let you escape with tons of points and I don't even get a "thank you"? :(
But one experience I've had was when two people DC'd and I let two people farm and escape and end game chat sounded something like
"Surv1: Farming is boring
Me: I felt bad for the DCs, you could've signaled me you wanted to die
Surv1: If you weren't such a trash killer they wouldn't have DC'd
Surv2: Stop being bad and people won't DC"
And it continued a bit longer. In the end they both agreed I sucked.

I sent a message to both... "That was really low... I guess that's what I get for being nice"
Survivor 1: "Yep, that's what you get, deal with it"
Survivor 2 "I see an oportunity, I take it"
Killer: "Finally i know what to do with my 250 Ebony Moris on my Prayer Beads Spirit. See you next time... "
3 -
I had somone who is usually in a swf and brings haddonfield offerings alone, had my mori and spammed him with it for 5 seconds until he dcd. I farmed with the rest and after they stunned me alot I left and messaged them to escape, 2 of them message me saying I'm awful and gave no skill.

That's why I wnated this game to have a more casual mode... where people can play in a non-trihard manner. Right now, the fact is that they did their job and you are wrong to give them a chance.
The game is designed in a competitive way. To act cooperative (Killer/Survivor) is just playing the game wrong. It's the same as a boxer kicking or a goalie carrying the ball to other goal with his hands. You can't complain. You're wrong.
But in a casual mode, challenges could still be a thing and be competitive at that. As long as it is split from the main game mode that we currently have.

Hesitation is defeat.
On the other hand, I'm a beginner killer but I've shown mercy to survivors when they're obviously new or their teammates ditch them without a good reason. It has gone well so far.
The deaths are trap kills.
All the other three escaped and left the fourth person in dying state. I thought it was pretty lame and I was just doing a daily so I didn't feel like I needed the kill.

@Avocet - Survivors are as lovely as killers on rank 18 and 19. Then you get to rank 17 and it's all "Flip you, mother flipper!", "Go and flip yourself loser!"
2 -
Wow that "love you" touched my heart. But I still have to follow my rule, "Be merciless"
2 -
Oh, I have my share of that at low rank too, I just don't usually screenshot them ^^
1 -
LMAO!

I guess I'm in the minority. I purposely make it so I'm a 20, then just play the game to give a good chase as the killer, or survive for awhile as a survivor. In the end, I just play to have a good time.
0 -
You should've just hooked the guy you found. I get survivors that teabag at the exit gate when I could've bodied them. The mind of some people are just so odd.
0 -
This is why I usually don't show mercy.
if I do for example wanting to give hatch I'll typically down a survivor tell them not to wiggle and that secondly try to wiggle they're going on a hook
1 -
How do you tell them not to wiggle? I'm asking cause a friend of mine moves his head saying no as a "you're not gonna live" threat
1 -
Smack the wall. Usually that'll tell them to stop wiggling. But some survivors dont get ir.
1 -
They just don't get it, I think smacking a gen works better.
1 -
I would never know that means to not wiggle. I always thought they wanted you to wiggle, so they could let you get off to work on the gen, etc. What does it matter if they do or do not wiggle?
1 -
I'm on xbone so I can just message them directly
1 -
Never be nice to them. They don't respect you so you should do the same. Think of the salty messages you'll receive ?
1 -
we're all just gamers trying to enjoy our freetime on a game we enjoy.
you aren't a killer, you aren't a survivor. you're just a gamer staying indoors and playing videogames. (just like me)
there's no harm in showing mercy to a team you clearly outmatch, just remember that there are trash people playing this game.
toxic killers and toxic survivors both exist and they are all just toxic players, the toxic wraith that camped you and spammed his "bing-bong" is likely the same toxic Nea that teabagged everytime she dropped a pallet...
show mercy to those you can and slug/camp/tunnel/BM the toxic little twats you find if you have the opportunity.
tldr;
people suck, don't take it too personally.
1 -
Sounds like kindergarden
0 -
I am never a nice killer anymore with the gen speeds
If 2 people dc, they are still feeling my wrath
