AFK Killer and XP Rift Farm
I'm actually find a lot of games where the killer is AFK somewhere in the map, well, this is not fun, i know you AFK killer wants to farm XP for the Rift but please don't use The Wraith if you want to go AFK, let us survivors take points being in your terror radius. so we survivors will not lose pips, i've just finished a game with an AFK Wraith, i'm actually grind to get the Rank 1 Survivor achievement and i've lost a pip because i never rescued an other surv and i never encountered the AFK killer. this is the 4th time that's happens, i was Rank 2 with 4 pips, now i'm Rank 2 with just 1 pip. Just stop using Wraith or Stealth killers for this purpose. or just stop being AFK, it's boring to wait 10 minutes to find a lobby and then you can't play because the Killer is AFK.

Report and move on. Even if BHVR doesn't seem to do anything about that player, at least they'll know that type of gameplay is trending and can fix the exploit and/or XP grind. It's one thing to have an emergency- ######### happens but report anyway and if there's a pattern, the mods will take care of it.. hopefully.

Dang, turns out when you introduce an absurdly lengthy timesink of a grinding system that is entirely reliant on time played, people are going to set up a farming system to avoid the massive timesink.
Who could have seen that coming? Surely there was no way to predict this. The Rift system totally isn't poorly thought out and excessively grindy or anything.

I've been using an endgame build with Wraith.
Blood Warden - NoED - Knockout - Deerstalker
Wait for the gens to get done and then down one survivor.
Open a gate.
Everyone wants points so they hang out and try to rescue and such.
I keep slugging and they keep rescuing or trying to take out the totem.
Then when the time is right I hook one and wait for the timer to end.
500 player xp in about 5-7 minutes and on to the next match.
Deranking like crazy and not as much BP but the rift fragments are adding up.

Now that sounds cruel.
Mind if I use it?

Its almost like .... the devs ... they don't know anything about their own game.
*Surprised pikachu face*

This was happening before too. People salty about legit bp.

This proves devs didn't listen to our feedback regarding the archive & rift. They didn't change anything despite the delay

Lots of killers play Wraith and hide to depip as quickly as possible without having to DC or interact with the survivors. It's a way to have easier games against lesser survivors or get lobbies faster. Killer lobby wait times during the daytime are very long at certain ranks. Deranking because you are tired of 20 minute queue times, I get. Deranking so you can destroy some noobs without mercy is just being a douche. If you are going to play much lesser survivors, toy with them and give them a chance to have fun and earn points.
To my understanding, the rift experience points are gained the same way as they are for your devotion level. The longer you are in the game, the more points you earn. So trying to power through games as fast as possible would not be the optimal way to achieve farming for your rift. It would actually be better to not have an invisible killer so the survivors would hang around longer to get their chase points from the AFK killer. Unless you've set up a bot (which is bannable), it would be better to just play the game even if it was half assed because you would ultimately gain the most experience points and blood points.
My guess is that if you are finding invisible Wraith's that are AFK, that is just a killer deranking and not wanting to give the survivors any unearned points. It's a "######### you" to the survivors.
Too many people are a "main" of either survivor or killer and totally hate the other side like it's some damn rival football team. People need to understand that neither side is right or wrong, good or bad. We are all just people wanting to play a game and have fun. Some are more competitive than others and their are toxic ######### bags on both sides. Being a "survivor" or "killer" doesn't automatically make you a certain type person. I think people that play both sides seem to be the most well rounded, best skilled and in most cases, the least likely to be toxic and get bent out of shape about little stuff. Just my opinion.

On another note, this game is for 17 and older which basically means it's for adults. This is a horror game with gore and death. We constantly see curse words in the pre & post game chats (on PC) along with the racism, homophobia, etc... I love how any curse word is blanked out with "BAD WORD". The same age restriction of the game should apply to the forum and we shouldn't have to sensor out words like this is China! Grow the ######### up!

I had to use the bathroom, please chill.

I thought this was funny too but it actually extends beyond that. Im currently "jailed" because i posted a meme with a guy holding a knife and that was apparently "inappropriate" ?

Jump into a game with me on PS4 when I attempt to do Huntress's daily, it will be like I'm AFKing. >.<
2 -
AFKing is reportable so report them and hopefully they'll face some consequences.

Just in case anyone was curious or wasn't sure what we were talking about...

No one should get banned for this.
BHVR should learn from this and make changes.
This is just people trying to play the game as efficiently as possible and not spend money because they don't believe the game deserves it. I have yet to buy anything (even the Stranger Things DLC which I was compelled a bit) because the devs have yet to show they understand their audience and what truly needs fixed.
That and, whenever they fix something, other things break. Pretty sure that's called sloppy craftsmanship...or should I say Sloppy Butchersmanship?

You need to calm down and realize at the end of the day, it's just a video game.
You're not going to die.

Depends on luck, if somebody bring battery he can just find the Killer and burn him.

If I'm a killer and someone goes AFK during the whole round, that team will not live. It's really unfair to them. If they get reported, nothing will happen. If it happens 3 or 4 times in a night, why the ######### get into the lobby in the first place? So, it's these people that should be punished.
If a killer goes AFK, same thing. I doubt people will report if they're profiting from it, but in this case, the killer that chose a Wraith to go AFK is being petty. I'd report him and wouldn't think twice about it.

I had so much fun with my totem defense wraith build to farm shards/archive fragments:
You basically do nothing but defend your totem all game while cloaked (ruin) sooner or later survivors will find it, you're allowed to chase them off (if the opportunity presents itself down them) but ultimately you have to return to your totem, I threw on noed aswell (which I normally never use) just to spice things up a bit for those pesky survivors at the end =P I dont kill anyone, and dont get many points but I'm having fun and the repsonse from survivors is largely positive too!

I've been doing something similar with Bubba! All I do is protect my Ruin totem all match.
I was originally gonna use Wraith for this, but I don't have Ruin on him. Plus, I like using Bubba because the survivors can't try to body block to protect the totem cleanser.

My totem defense build is on Trapper with Thrill of the Hunt and sometimes NOED for end. I spam traps with Distressing for an easy 8k points and they generally get gens done and start rushing the totem.
I've actually 4k'd with this, but I generally let people go. Being trapper helps with the trap challenge too, if survivors are nice.

I have had this a lot like 1 in 5 games. I just report them but we all know they don't ban anyone from the game.

Uhm... ok? I was just stating a fact.
Also it's a week old thread, why bringing this up again just to look cool?
0 -
Interesting, do you use Insidous on him?
0 -
Oh I have to do that aswell with trapper, might try this!

Nope. I've been using Ruin, Lightborn (too many flashlights recently), Beast of Prey (so I get lots of points just for them running around in front of me), and BBQ. I just stand there, often with the chainsaw revved. If I leave him standing there a little ways back from the totem, in the majority of matches I've had a survivor will try to cleanse it hoping I'm afk. It's crazy.
I did the same thing with Spirit to do the "interrupt grab" challenge. I just stood there staring at the totem, and a survivor started cleansing it in front of me, so I phase-walked the two feet and grabbed them.

That's a nice tip, with the interupt challange, was thinking about doing scratched mirror Myers in Lerrys, but your idea sounds fun too =)

I have also done the same trick with Spirit and the basement chest, standing in one corner and waiting for a survivor to come down and start searching it. More often than not someone will take the chance. Can't use Insidious for it, 'cause your TR will come back the moment you start to use your power. You just have to stand still, no matter how much they run around or flashlight you, so they think you AFK'd in the basement.
It's a compilation of the basement chest trick in action. It shouldn't work, it really shouldn't, but it does. I'd say doing it with Ruin is more of a sure thing, though; survivors are more likely to take the risk to cleanse Ruin than to search the basement chest.

LMFO how does that even work XD surely they must know you're faking it, was hilarious to watch btw =)
