Guess I am bad at Trapper

I just got told to "get good" and "your bad at Trapper" just because I couldn't catch this one person. So, I guess I am bad at the game. I've never played Trapper before. I'm literally only playing him for the Archives and my daily. Plus, I'm rank 13 as killer getting matched with Purple ranks. Of course I'm not good at Trapper yet.

This is part of what's wrong with the video game community. Especially this one. Instead of good sportsmanship, people get told outrageous, awful things just because they didn't end up having a good game.

I honestly don't see the point in being rude to people you don't even know.

Tune them out or disable end game chat.

Dont let it get to you. Win or lose, say your GGs and move on. People who will bash you in endgame chat like this wouldve done the same even if you won.

That being said, there IS subtle things you can do as Trapper to give you an advantage. I recommend watching some of Otz's videos on him.

Afew things to point out... at 2:17 he placed a trap to avoid a pallet stun.

At 2:30, he was positioning the David before breaking the pallet. The David wouldve naturally wanted to get as much distance as possible during the breaking animation. Since Otz had a trap to his right, he waited til David was slightly to the right. The David wouldve PROBABLY chosen to go right then to get distance, which he did.

Even if I have a real bad game, I always do my best to have good sportsmanship and say GG.

I love Otz! I've been watching his video a lot lately. I will definitely check this one out. Thank you for sharing it with me.

NP mate. This is an example of a chat I had earlier, but I can guarantee this person wouldve been saying very similar things if they had escaped. Had afew 3 and 4 man escapes from "Bully squads" too. Dont let it work ya up too much. Just do the best you can, and even if they escape... You made em work their asses off, lol.

My goodness. They were mad. And over what? Not escaping? Why do people get so overworked about a game? I know I have moments, as we all do, but I would never insult someones looks. I know when to step back and take a break.

After I killed my 2nd survivor, I went across the map to where she had been unhooked, knowing the 2 remaining survivors were over there... Saw scratch marks across the wall of the shack and started following them, only to see her dive bomb into a locker for an obvious DS bait. Usually I just pull em out, but theres only 2 ppl left...so I stared at the locker for a minute, lol. I think THATS what set her off, that I didnt take the obvious bait of her jumping in and out of the locker.

I thought this thread was about the same as the Spirit mindset.

    Spirit get's 4k = Spirit op

Spirit loses = Spirit Player is bad

The people who trash talk like this are usually the ones who are both sore losers and sore winners. Pay them no mind and just move on. Just practice and ignore everyone who says your bad. We all start out somewhere!

Sometimes survivors are just good players and not twats. I had a game with spirit today.

3 survivors escaped as I'm not good at spirit(after pretty loud concert I can't exactly say I'm good at hearing things).

I got one and 3 escaped.

Guy that died and 2 of his friends were just normal GG and quick talk at the end but one guy was so... childish. Throwing all of the insults and boasting.

If a player is childish he will always stay that way.

I wouldn't say someone telling you you're bad at the game is "outrageous and awful." Sounds like super mild trash talk that you would hear in literally every multi-player game.

I mean, they're doing it to be a jerk. And the rank difference as stated in the post, they should know the killer won't be as good as a purple rank killer

Don't sweat it. Trapper has a higher learning curve because you need a deep map knowledge to really shine. He's easily one of my favorites. Don't let em get you down if you enjoy him.

I'm not saying what this person said is outrageous or awful. I'm talking about the people who get so pissed off that they say racist, abusive, borderline threatening stuff.

I've had basically every type of game out there. From getting no kills to a 4k. I count them all as wins because I had fun and got to try out the killer. Heck, I got my first head pop with Pig yesterday.

I don't get why the amount of sacrifices means the killer is bad. Maybe they are new to this killer? Maybe they are still practicing? Maybe they just don't care how many kills they get. Doesn't mean they are bad.

He is definitely really fun. Especially when someone steps in a trap they watched you place. Usually I don't sweat trash talk. But this made me wonder just how many new players get trashed talked and quit.
